Had an haircut and a blowout there, Michael is very good! I will definitely return there! Now it’s been four months and my hair still look like they have a fresh haircut. The prices are really reasonable for the neighborhood!

Franco has been my barber since 1981. He has been at several different locations (all on the Upper East Side) since I first started going to him, and now you will find him here at Creations by Michael. A good barber is hard to find, and Franco provides this and more. He has an excellent knowledge of Opera, Sports, and has a wonderful sense of humor. I used to monitor my haircuts back in the early days but I stopped doing that, over 20 years ago, as I trust his judgment period. Last month when I made my appointment and found out that Franco was on vacation, I tried Michael for the very first time since I have been going there. It came as no surprise to me that Michael was every bit the professional that I expected him to be. They are both very skilled, likeable, men who both can do magic with men/women’s hair. I would never consider going anywhere else, other than Creations by Michael.

An intimate hair salon with no pretensions. Michael and Franco are professionals who know what the customer wants and they do everything they can to please. If you are unsure on what hairstyle to go with they will work with you to find something you will be happy with.
The shop was recently remodeled and since it is located in an older brownstone type apartment building they have limited options on configurations, but the place has a warm feel. An equal number of men and women come to the salon and I’ve never seen anyone walk away without being satisfied in the many years I’ve been going to have my hair cut here.
The prices are very reasonable and they keep longer hours on many days making your busy life easier.

I have been going here for 10+ years. If you are unhappy with unreliable haircuts as I was before finding this gem, you will not regret giving it a try. Michael cuts, styles and colors hair the way the customer wants. He always listens to requests and does what you ask.

Michael and Franco are awesome barbers/​hair stylists. I have been going to Franco for years and would not let anyone else in the city cut my hair. Most of my friends go here as well. Very highly recommended.
