Great place, nice owner! Place to go for deals and hidden gems. In the Lower East Side, fun neighborhood too!

Delicate Raymond is my favorite store in the entire world, uncontested. It’s run by the lovely & talented, Michelle Raymond, who is perhaps the only person that loves costume vintage jewelry more than I do. She has a FABULOUS collection priced at $ 5 bucks a pop. These pieces far surpass the price tag… I have a habit of swinging by and losing myself in jewel heaven for hours, seriously, hours. Needless to say, I am her loyal & devout customer forever, AMEN!

I stopped into Delicate Raymond all the way back in spring so I guess pretend that I wrote this review then. Anyway, it was a hot day and they did not have any air conditioning but the owner did have an adorable little dog who followed me around. I think it was a terrier. At the time, they were carrying a large selection of $ 2 and $ 5 vintage 80’s jewelry. I know they were 30 years ago at this point, but I’m still not ready to commit to calling the 80’s vintage. I didn’t see anything that unique or interesting but there was a nice spread if you were looking for costume jewelry or items that you could break down for raw materials. Basically, if you needed some props for a community theater production or you were working on a cheap Halloween costume, it might be worth it to stop in if you couldn’t find what you were looking for elsewhere. There were a lot of ugly beaded necklaces, thin and delicate chains, and giant, glittery costume jewelry. It was really a very random assortment of items. I did find a single lover’s knot ring for $ 5. It was cheaper than it would be at Erica Weiner where they cost $ 30 for a set of two rings and it was around the same price you’d pay for an etsy piece without the added shipping cost. I don’t think Delicate Raymond is a jewelry shop you really need to go out of your way to visit as the pieces aren’t that special but the prices are pretty good and it’s always possible that you’ll find a hidden gem.

i was intrigued when my coworkers told me they were going to a jewelry boutique where almost everything was 5 dollars that is right down the street from where we worked. Not being a jewelry person, i went, and I found so many adorable things there! I actually bought a necklace piece for my mother on Mothers Day and she got many compliments from her friends. I became a regular. A small jewelry stand and a couple pieces later, I realized I will probably need another stand because even when I tell myself I need to stop buying because I’m running outta space on my stand, but my collection is continue to grow… slowly. I was actually eyeing 2 earrings, but I couldn’t buy it because I have trouble with the metal. She(Michelle, the store owner) gave me a tip and actually help me hold the 2 earrings until the next day so I can do the research. I researched the tip and tested it, ITWORKED! I went back the next day before work and bought both earrings. Extremely happy!

Delicate Raymond is one of the best kept secrets of LES. My friend and I stumbled across this darling little shop early this year and was immediately hooked! There is a sign out side that says«Vintage Jewelry $ 2-$ 5» that compelled us to go in and take a look. From wall to wall decorated with vintage jewelry that cost $ 5 each(unless you go in on days where she has BOGO ears/bracelets), vintage clutches/handbags on shelves and the store keeper’s(Michelle) own designs displayed on the jewelry cases(which are not part of the vintage 5 dollar deal because they are her handmade pieces). I have to say that I wasn’t quite the jewelry kind of girl but ever since I’ve found Delicate Raymond I’ve yet to stop visiting the place. I own over 30+ pieces, some of which I’ve shown in the pictures posted, and love them all! All of the pieces I’ve purchased so far are the $ 5& $ 2 vintage pieces and are surprisingly sturdy! All of the pieces are still intact even though I manhandle some of them. I’ve yet to splurge on the more expensive pieces because they are such delicate items it would break my heart if I broke them but hope to later on just to invest in some statement pieces for future events. I’m so in love with all the pieces I own. Every time I step out with a new pair of earrings, I get complimented. The bracelets and charm I have are staple pieces that are very rarely taken off. I even keep them on while in the shower because I don’t like having to take off jewelry and having to put it on again, rest assured my wrists are not green. I have to say that the vintage pieces at Delicate Raymond are so worth purchasing over mass production stuff like forever 21 because Delicate Raymond pieces are so unique and affordable. If you follow Delicate Raymond on IG or FB, you’ll get notices of when there are new shipments of vintages pieces and/or when there are BOGOs/Sample Sales. Might I also add that customer services is ONPOINT, Michelle(owner) made the effort to talk to us when we walked in the first time, and now we are on the first name basis. Delicate Raymond’s got a loyal customer this way, I’ve shared with many friends/co-workers about this gem because sharing is caring and I’m always coming back to see what else is new. So if you’re interested in vintage jewelry(as it clearly says on the sign, not antique like the other reviewer said), costume jewelry, whatever kind of jewelry it is you’re looking for stop by this place and you’ll be surprised by the variety!

First off, let’s be honest, the jewelry here is not antique. It may be antique inspired but pieces from the 70’s or later it is definitely not. There are some handmade looking pieces that some might like if they like to accessorize their outfits but they will not be in the $ 2 or $ 5 price category. Items are kept accessible and visible. A lot of shopping ease at the store but customer service is near nil. It did, however, allow me to look around without feeling I was in an exclusive boutique shop and followed — you know what I mean. If you’re comfortable with the fact that some of the pieces will break or not last for long then you’d end up with a handful of accessories to jazz up your next outfit.

I was convinced by my co-workers to go to this place because they are regulars. Once I stepped in the store, I noticed that it was quite small, but it is filled with A LOT of things. Most of the items cost $ 5, but there is also a bin of $ 2 pieces. I ended up purchasing a beautiful white gem necklace for $ 10. Overall I think this place is very unique and you will definitely find something you like.

Not only do I love this LES shop but my dog does too! Pearls for pups — that’s what she says! Thanks for being such a great addition to the neighborhood. Love coming in and finding cool finds on any given day.

Awesome $ 5 vintage selection! I got a necklace from there and loved it! I got so many compliments on the necklace. Selection changes weekly, so there’s always a reason to stop by and look. I plan on stopping in every time I go down there. Occasionally there’s a $ 2 tray, so you can buy more! One side is the real stuff(right) and the other side(left) is costume jewelry. The real jewelry is really beautiful, one day I’ll splurge. The owner is super friendly and helpful. She makes the shop. Support small business!

I love supporting local business and this is a LES gem– literally! Huge, modern gold-flared«emerald» cut Heart-of-the-Ocean inspired necklace? I haz it! Their $ 5 vintage jewelry selection is incredible. I find many of the other jewelry stores in the area to be overpriced(especially for pieces that are poor quality costume jewelry) but this place is the right price with great quality. The original pieces are a little pricier but well worth it! Handmade, beautiful and unique!

Do yourself a favor and go with the real deal. Spend the extra money and get yourself an Alex & Ani monogram bangle instead. Extremely disappointed with everything about the bangle I got. I walked by this place and was immediately drawn in as they had the monogram bangle that I had wanted for so long, but didn’t want to spend the money. They were having a sale and I was able to snag a monogram bangle for $ 25 plus tax and would only have to wait a week to receive. Great, I left a happy camper. One week later, that happiness faded. It took me almost a month to receive my bracelet and I had to stop into the store multiple times to ask. They said they would call me when my bracelet was in and it’s a good thing I made one last stop at the store to see if it came in because sure enough, it had, and they didn’t even bother calling me. That was already a red flag. What are you doing, holding my bracelet hostage? I wonder how long it would have taken them to call me had I not stopped in. Whatever, I was glad I finally got it, put it on and left a decent camper. Two days later, I was mad. The coin had fallen off. Seriously, two days? I went back to the store to have them fix it and she goes, well did you tug on it? Seriously, even if I did, this bracelet should last more than two days before falling part. She fixed it, after dropping both pieces on the floor and upon further inspection, she gripped the rings so tightly with the tools that it left dent marks and she didn’t even close the clasp evenly. Again, whatever, I left and was satisfied that I had my bracelet. A week later, the coin fell off and I’ve had it. I went back to the store, got a refund and will never step foot in this store again. When i say stay away, I mean it. Yes the pieces are nice, but they are of poor quality and everything is just cheap material. Had the coin not fallen off, I’m pretty sure my wrist would be green and the bracelet would have turned color.
