Love love love this place. I usually just go in for toasted bagels with veggie cream cheese but this week I wanted to try something different & went for the soups. Best thing I ever did. I believe my favorite is the lasagna soup. It’s just so perfect il be getting this everyday until I can’t anymore

Nice pressed cuban and turkey cranberry sandwiches, lots of fresh side salad options, wide range of sandwiches all looking freshly made and plump filled. Staff is on top of it when there are 10 people ordering sandwiches to be made at the same time. This place is a walk from my usual lunch place but its nice for a treat. Never been for breakfast.

Customer service is awful and prices are outrageous. Walk another block to treehouse. I

This place is so average. How, in the land of bagels, can you mess up a bagel? All the lady had to do was toast it until it was warm. My bagel was still cold in the middle. My fault for getting it here, but the line at Essa was out the door and I didn’t have time to wait. I’ve also tried two soups, the clam chowder, which was okay, and the vegetable beef, which was decent. I wanted to get a sandwich for the road, but nothing looked appealing.

Food is good. Been in there probably 50 times now and without fail there are minimum 3 – 5 people behind coffee service bar and it is still is a struggle. Just left after repeating«poppy bagel with scallion cream cheese please» 3 times. Back at desk with a raisin bagel with butter. Language is not the problem either. I’ve never seen such an ineffective staff before in my life.

After reading mixed reviews of D&B, I decided that I would go here for lunch with some coworkers to squash the exaggerated reviews already posted on here. I ordered a salad and it turned out to exceed my expectations that I had for them. The place is very clean and spacious on the inside so you are not constantly bumping shoulders with other customers while you wait for your food. The prices were very reasonable and the workers very attentive to your order. My coworker ordered the soup and said it was delicious(so some insight to those of you who love soup). I would suggest that you at least give D&B a try for their reasonable prices and the fact that you can always find a table inside. My only complaint would be their lack of sandwich variety for those who don’t eat meat and the poor selection of desserts that they«offer».

Great stop for breakfast scones, bagels and muffins. Nice salad bar and sandwiches. Easy in and out. Helpful and friendly staff. Scones around $ 3 – 5. Welcome stop!

I now know why nobody in my office goes here(I work upstairs). They go here when they absolutely need to for bananas, a quick muffin or when time is of the essence. There’s some sort of language or cultural barrier with the girls behind the counter. They come from the same place that Duane Reade gets their employees from. It’s not that they’re rude, I honestly think they try to be nice, but there’s a sense of incompetence to them. If that incompetence is pointed out, they all bicker to each other about you with their backs turned. That’s no way to treat the customers. The food is very average, this is every bit of a generic Midtown lunch deli, they don’t have anything more or less than the other thousand lunch places of this type. They exact same salad ingredients, the exact same pre-made sandwiches, the same soups, etc. It’s two stars.

Always consistent for lunch catering at the office. Sandwiches and salads are always fresh and delivery always on time. No sandwiches have wowed me but from the sound of the reviews, I need to order their soups!

The soups are tasty, yet overpriced. Comes with a side of stale bread given to you out of a large shopping bag at the register… yeah.

My go to spot right across from the office. Most days I get my usual salad unless the Coconut Chicken Curry Soup is offered which is fabulous. The salad workers are pretty speedy, which counts for a lot in Midtown East. Reasonably priced, convenient and consistently tasty.

I’m a soup fiend. I love their soups. While the chicken noodle isn’t very Jewish, and doesn’t compare to say, Hale and Hearty’s chicken noodle(or the New England Soup Factory’s in Boston), it’s decent. And the other soups are great. Loved the crab and corn chowder/bisque. Delish.

I ordered from here the other day off of . What a find. They have a ton of soups to choose from and a lot of vegetarian options when you want something lighter. I ordered a lentil soup and a veggie/cheddar sandwich. When you add Tabasco to both items, they really come alive. I would definitely order from here again for a quick cheap meal.

Quite reasonably priced deli, with everything. They look really clean. I got a salad for lunch the other day, it was less than 6 bucks. So cheap.

I’m a fan because they have lots of vegetarian soup options. They don’t get more stars because the sandwiches aren’t so good.

I go here in the morning when I’m off to work for my morning coffee, bagel with salmon lox, oatmel or what have you. Along with the occasional soup. My favs are New England Clam Chowder and the Lobster Bisque. I’ve never been disappointed by my order. I think their salmon Lox is the best I’ve had(outside of my own) at a quick morning time deli. Their service is not the best, but heh… as long as they give me the right cream cheese spread, I’m good.

Oh, if only we had a place like this in Connecticut. Great salads. They give you the lettuce and then you pick the ingredients. Very fresh ingredients. They mix it up and put it back together. Probably 25 topping choices and 10 dressings. Quick, efficient and reasonable prices. Lunch companion had one of the 10 soups they had. All looked good and he enjoyed it. You can also get sandwiches and desserts. But I’d stick with the soup and salad.

This is one of my three favorite delis in the area. I love their chicken salads and panini, but, most of all, I LOVE their soups. The salads are overpriced just like all the places in the city, so I haven’t bought one. Their desserts and baked goods are also WAY overpriced. $ 3.00 for an almond turtle?! In warm weather, I love the outdoor seating and, in the winter, I like the warm and cozy seating area on the 2nd floor.
