History

Established in 1960.

Company founder, Baldev Duggal used his ingenuity and keen understanding of photography to design and built the first Dip and Dunk processing machine, which revolutionized film developing and the core technology is still used around the world today.

In the late ‘80s, Duggal invested aggressively in technology, becoming the first company to introduce sophisticated RGB drum scanning and electronic retouching for photographers, technology to which many graphics companies are still struggling to adapt.

Today, Duggal designs and produces large volumes of unique, custom, oversize and complex visuals and fixtures for our exclusive image conscious clientele. The company is recognized as a leading innovator in our industry, and Duggal brings several new and exclusive products to the market each year. Duggal specializes in everything from high-​resolution scanning and digital retouching of images that land on covers of magazines worldwide to giant digital murals that wrap entire buildings

This IS as good as it gets. My first project with Duggal which included the works! I had several professional photography images that needed printing, mounting, framing and a TON of patience and expertise. My clients are very detail oriented and work with the crème de la crème of their industry. So when I needed it done right, I went to Duggal… for the first time because I could not risk going anywhere else. I worked with Hope who was absolutely impeccable, thorough, patient and very easy to speak with along with a fantastic personality… to me all of the above is a huge plus! Especially since I am in Los Angeles and had to get the work done remotely. I could not help but trust Hope and relinquish my control on the project since she is such a professional. Everything was taken care of seamlessly. Excellent follow through, excellent communication which translates into a successful and gorgeous final product. Rosa, who was my first contact there, is to also be acknowledged for impeccable follow through and in knowing exactly who I needed to help me. She listened and the rest is perfect history. My client is super happy which makes me happy. I rarely contribute to Unilocal in commenting on excellence because it is rare. Thanks to Hope and Rosa, I had to do it in this instance. I will continue to use Duggal for all my future printing needs.

See Hardy… He’s definitely my go to from film projects, to my book, to prints from my iPhone. Knows how to listen give You the options you’d like to get the results every time. When you need the very best, you need Duggal. They’re not going to be the cheapest (or not often), but quality matters more. Your art or your grandma’s photo, either one is worth the professional attention you’ll get here.
Think about something usual. You need that photo printed on metal? They can do it.
If you’re interested in fine art photography, I guarantee that you’ve seen printing they did in a gallery show.
Each time I’ve used Duggal, I’ve been delighted.
Some of the reviews mention customer service. If you’re looking for a smile and maybe a bit of quick humor – and excellent professional expertise – ask for Hardy. While I’ve never had bad service, he’s the best.

I’ve been processing my 35 mm here for a while now (processing, scanning, printing etc). Jim and the rest of the staff have always been very attentive and helpful. Only 4 stars because the scans are a bit pricey, but they do great work.

Duggal has been an excellent film resource for our art gallery for many years. We tend to prefer 35 mm print film and slides and although the digital format is the leader in the photography world these days we still use 35 mm film. Duggal has been an exceptional provider for our unique photography needs and our rep, Hardy, has been very resourceful and extremely helpful. We have provided custom art for such places as New York’s Copacabana, the Carlyle Hotel, Best Western Hotel and many restaurants and private residences. We need the clarity of color that only slide film can provide especially when we are commissioned to do portraits as this type of film captures the nuances of a subjects complexion. Whatever we are working on at the moment, be it a mural, a portrait, a floral or a landscape we can always rely on Duggal Visual Solutions for our many projects at Russ Elliott Gallery here in New York.

Horrible customer service. All workers there acting like they are hard workers, but they didn’t have time to help out customer, so what is the point.
Let me seat there for 45 minutes to wait, I came and asked and they ask me what do it need. I plan to spend 1500 on print there, but you know what thank god for that i printed online for 500 included shipping… Super fast. They just need to fire all their acting employees.

I’ve been coming to Duggal for years for my printing needs. If you’re looking for a place to have your photos printed at the highest quality, then Duggal is the place. They offer a wide range of papers as well as several printing options. Duggal’s customer service is outstanding. They will do everything possible to make your project a masterpiece. Ask for Hardy; he’ll treat your project as if it’s his. Not much to say other than bookmark them.

Duggal did all of the printing for our big gala-​over 200 attendees. Not only were the results AMAZING, but the Duggal team was a pleasure to work with throughout the process! Had a bad experience at first, but the customer service manager was able to solve everything and was very kind.
The quality of the work at Duggal is exceptional, I was only displeased with the experience I had with someone who worked there. But after working with Ryan Speth (customer service manager) I was completely satisfied. Will be back.

This is where i get my film developed. They used to offer film back in the day, which would be nice and convenient. So one star off for not carrying it anymore.
Some of the counter guys are A+.
I had a bad first experience there, about four years back. When you get a film scan, and you ask for low-​res «web quality» scans, do not expect them to be good enough to put on anything more than the Facebook side of the web. It was corrected with professionalism, however, and no issues since.

Meh.
This place does really cool framing and mounting that not a lot of other places do, if you want to splurge and get something expensive and cool. It’s not for day-​to-​day lab stuff like printing and scanning. I had an 11×14″ print mounted on plexi for a gift and it ended up being over $ 200 (even though they told me it would be more like $ 150). It was an expensive gift! Just the print was fifty bucks, that’s kind of a lot of a single print, you know?
Seems to me that they’re focusing on big-​money jobs and really neat forms of presentation. If you come in with an expense account, needing some really cool giant prints made and mounted or framed, they’ll treat you nice :)
If you’re a student or a working photographer looking to get day-​to-​day jobs done, I’d go to Vista/​CRC. Jesus is the man there. He’ll hook you up.

I was preparing for an event, which included responsibility for decorations, when I realized that the perfect addition to my set up would be a cool pic on the wall. While talking it through with a friend and disclosing my lazy ways. She mentioned her experience with Duggal…“just send them the pic and they can ship the canvas to you”. Just my type of effort level.
The picture arrived fairy quickly and I’ll be honest… I didn’t even open it for a few days since I didn’t really need it immediately and was caught up with life. So when a new package from Duggal arrived a few days later I was surprised — to say the least. Upon opening it, I realized that I had been shipped the wrong canvas originally, but Duggal realized on their end and quickly rectified the situation. All without me doing a thing. Now that’s how I like to do business.
The canvas was great quality and I’m looking forward to hanging it up. Thanks Duggal!

Ordered a canvas print from here and was very pleased with how it turned out. I didn’t even have to visit the store! I just e-​mailed a picture and within 2 weeks the final product was shipped to my place.
It was perfectly packaged when it arrived to make sure the canvas wouldn’t get damaged — foam corners around the edges and wrapped in a foamy wrap. I am quite pleased with the product and would consider going back here for other picture needs.
