My words of gratitude for Elev8 are truly endless.
As an active person, I’ve tried every workout in NYC (from Barry’s bootcamp, SOUL Cycle, CrossFit, FlyWheel and expensive personal trainers). As an active person with scoliosis, which is almost always causing some sort of pain (neck, lower back, upper back, knees — you name it!), I’ve found that I must truly watch how I workout b/​c overdoing it in the wrong ways has truly been counterproductive in the past.
My sessions at Elev8 always leave me feeling stronger, longer, leaner and in less physical pain than when I arrived. I’ve even felt tremendous emotional relief and peace of mind after sessions knowing I’m truly taking care of my body and nurturing it with gentle, but effective methods, tailored to my body’s unique ecosystem.
I’ve been working with Ashley for almost 2 years consistently 1x per week. On a scale of 1 – 10, I’d say my daily pain level used to be about a 7 – 8 and now its about 3 on a good day, 5 on a bad day… so much improvement! Life changing, really.
Ashley customized a routine during my NYC marathon training, helping me minimize pain by strengthening areas of my body that needed attention.
Elev8 offers Pilates, but so much more… Yes, you’ll have access to working on Reformers, but more importantly you’ll receive empowering one-​on-​one education about your body’s unique inter-​workings. This team really cares about their clients and the facility is a cozy haven, away from the busy city.
Its the one thing on my To Do list I truly look forward to each week! Highly recommend, obviously :)

I love love love the instructors at Elev8. They’re knowledgeable, attentive, and make Pilates lots of fun.
