I came here with a friend who was looking for ONE specific item. We were greeted by a super energetic young lady named Pepper. She gave us the run down on the sales that were going on, how to save 30% on tons of stuff with mobile coupons, and offered to show us how to get the discounts on ur phones. I mentioned to her that I would be going to a concert soon and asked to be directed to the flashiest, most gaudy pieces in the store, to which she happily obliged.
I also observed another girl at the register being extremely pleasant with a not so nice customer making a return. Let me tell you, she’s got the patience of a saint lol!
The store itself was clean and organized. Everything was in it’s proper place as far as I noticed.

I stumbled in here earlier today while passing by, doing some errands. A top caught my eye so I figured I would go in and look. I never shop in express because … I don’t know why actually. Probably because I always felt I can’t fit Their clothing. I tried a top on and was set with two items. I was pleasantly surprised. Then Jasmine showed me this beautiful skirt and urged me to try it on. Jasmine and Jo both were so kind to me and knowledgeable about the sizing. Ryan was also really helpful to me. I was so shocked that I fit into the skirt so I bought all three items happily.
The man who rang me up was tall and handsome in a plaid shirt but I don’t know his name. Thank you Express employees for not being snotty and for being to sincerely helpful to a girl who thought she couldn’t shop in that store! I can’t wait to come back again. Customer service and selection at this location was great and I left truly happy. Thank you!

This is my fave Express store in NYC. Friendliest staff — especially JOLENE!!! She is a gem. Always super helpful and offers great (and honest!) fashion and clothes-​sizing advice!!! She always remembers me when I come in and says hi. Managers are nice here as well.
Great sales almost every time I come here — either 30% or 40% off items — and easy to find your size. During the holidays, even better sales.
Clean store, not as packed with tourists as some other manhattan locations and you get a neighborhood-​y kind of vibe. «Where everybody knows your name» … :)

I see a lot of negativity but really this location is great because it’s never too crowded here and the staff and the manager are always nice. They always have different promotions going on so bring your coupons. Semiannual sale is unbeatable. Overall, I line express for its good balance of price and qualify while delivering good tailored fit.

This location, alongside the Express Clothing location on Madison & 51 street, is closed temporarily? There are no signs or posters informing its patrons. Shrug.

Salespeople are nice and try to be helpful when needed. Most of the sizes are out and fully stocked so it’s not often you have to ask to check back stock. I like the brand but most of the time shopping here is daunting since the space is so dense and often has a bit of a mess with things draped off the hanger or fallen on the floor. The looks are simplified, wearable trends but not made to last (however better than H&M and F21).

This particular express ALWAYS has my size. If your a 0⁄2 or xs/​s you should stop in, seems like their selection is pretty extensive and they never get over crowded. I found the staff here to be pretty friendly and helpful. And I can be in and out all in one lunch break!

The store and clean and organized, but its not worth the trip unless you r a size small. U are better off shopping online since there’s no free shipping if u order a piece of clothing from the online catalog if the store doesn’t offer ur size. Plus they are constantly training ppl here.

Express… you certainly know how to put a hole in my wallet. I love, love, love their clothing line. My wardrobe looks like its straight out of the Express catalog! While I was at this particular location I had some help from a very friendly representative who helped me find some items that I saw on the website. The sales that they have always manage to get me to buy more… not to mention the coupons that I get in the mail that gives me money off my purchase if I spend a certain amount. I know I will be back to this Express again… and again… and again.

Big sign and display says, «casual tanks & tees: buy 2, get 1 free», yet somehow my friend’s cotton tank top is not included in the sale… even though the mannequin in the middle of the display is wearing it!
When we approach the manager he doesn’t budge, so she tells him he should re-​evaluate the misleading display. His response? «Tell me about it.»
So, you know there’s a problem but you don’t care? If that’s not the definition of bad customer service I don’t know what is.

however, this location is kept clean & organized, and the sale area is decent. this shop is never too crowded, which cannot be said for the other nearby chains like gap, h&m, old navy, etc.
also, express has a habit of sending out fabulous coupons by mail, which i almost always use at this store.

I used to get my slacks from Express, but their quality went down and their prices went up. Their salespeople aren’t very friendly (or helpful) and they always have a scowl on their face if you ask for another size.
If you want some inexpensive pants, try Zara or H&M across the street.

I always thought shopping at ExpressMen would be an awkward experience. Some stores are meant to be girls’ stores, you wouldn’t walk into a store called Victor’s Secret to buy fancy boxers, would you? But after getting over that initial uneasiness, I’ve tried on a bunch of their stuff. Their dress shirts are garbage, the texture of the fabric and the dyes they use look cheap. But I do like the look and feel of their slacks, and while most of them are questionable, I also like a lot of their t-​shirts, they’re soft and have cool prints. Sometimes they’ll give out coupons, too, just for trying their shit on. You can’t beat that. Even still, I hope Victor’s Secret is a long way’s off. He can keep that secret to himself.

I always feel a little old and fat when I’m in Express. A cheaper alternative to the whole Gap/​Banana Republic scene, the clothes seem smaller, tighter and made with cheaper material. But I really like the loungewear. It’s very J. Lo. Budget Juicy Couture, I guess. I’ve also found some decent office wear items here as well.
