Located inside the historic Waldorf Hotel adds to the fun of this escape. But whether you are a guest of the hotel or just coming for the spa, you won’t be disappointed!
I love each room which they call a spa suite. It has your own toilet, sink and large shower. It is wonderful not having to get changed in a changing room. This is the ultimate in privacy and comfort.
This was my second time back and this time I received my first prenatal massage.
Carman was my masseuse and she was incredible. Every detail was covered. The bed linens felt like heaven as did the heated bed. For me a pillow worked better between my knees for support as opposed to the roll so that is what we used. She listened to specific needs and focused on them as well as addressing trigger spots I wasn’t aware of until she worked on them.
The setting is exactly what I want in a spa, calm, quiet, fragrant and relaxed. The staff are there to take care of you and you feel it.
Additional perks are a shoe shine (which I took them up on) or use of their gym.
I also opted for a small elevation– an eye treatment.
We ended my fabulous massage and Carman started my hot shower and left the room.
This visit was worth every cent and I will be back!

Absolutely fantastic service. I managed to book myself on the Guerlain spa in Florida… And then showed up here on the day of my service.
Nevertheless did they do everything they could to find time for my treatments and we managed to work out a couple of flawless hours of delightful joy.
I had The Ultimate Radiance Body Polish, which included Signature Facial, Sensorial 50-​Minute Massage and a Make-​up Application. And I also added on a face mask treatment and some extra minutes of massage.
The service was absolutely impeccable all the way from check in to the check out. The facility itself is classy and the lounge gives you the opportunity for privacy behind some curtains if you wish so.
They serve Mimosas (Yay) and the wonderful little Waldorf Astoria cookies as well as coffee, Espresso, Champagne or water.
My masseuse was very skilled, informative and professional, and gave me one of the best body scrubs and massages I ever had (and i am VERY picky when it comes to spa treatments). You can use the room for an additional 20 minutes after your treatment which was perfectly fine for me. I didn’t know I could go back and hang out in the lounge again after treatment, if I had know this I would definitely have stayed longer.
You get 20% of you next treatment if you book it within 24h, unfortunately my dance card was all full this week, but next time I stay at the Waldorf I am booking myself at this spa again for sure!

My mom was visiting New York City for the first time and I wanted to treat her to an afternoon at the Guerlain Spa! It was wonderful! Vanessa checked us in for our luxury pedicures and sat us in the grand salon to enjoy a mimosa. She was so sweet and made us feel so welcomed! She escorted us the the grand salon to enjoy champagne and a mimosa. The view from the grand salon was gorgeous and Frank Sinatra played in the background while we sipped our beverages. Our nail technicians, Nicole and Rodica, picked us up and brought us to where the nail services take place. The chairs were ultra plush and reclined to our liking. Everything was all set up and ready to go (no having to go through water temperature or wait for the bowl to be filled!)
Rodica made wonderful conversation with us during our pedicures and Nicole offered to take our photo! After our service they escorted us back to the grand salon to let our toes dry.
The whole experience from start to finish was wonderful! I will definitely be back with more family and friends!

I had a great experience at this spa. Yes, the services are quite pricey, but you get what you pay for. Receptionist was very friendly, and I was offered champagne while I waited for my massage. The waiting area is beautiful luxurious, with chandelier-​like designs and impeccably clean white surfaces. The massage rooms was super cute– very spacious and clean, like a hotel room. I like that you have some time after your massage to enjoy the room and get changed back into your clothes without being rushed.

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. My new husband and I went for a couples massage with chocolate and champagne and everything was perfect. The massages were in our top 3 of the best we’ve ever gotten and the staff goes above and beyond to cater to your every need. Will definitely go back for another special occasion.

We took the elevators up and were immediately in heaven. The lavish locker rooms, including steam rooms are yours to use before and after the treatments. Before the treatment they went over what to expect as well as offered us a choice of body oil scents or unscented. They also asked if there were problem or painful areas. The tables were comfortable and heated blankets kept us warm until the massage began. Both of our massages were amazing, the use just the right amount of pressure and ask if they should adjust more or less. After the treatment there is a private bathroom and steam room to use adjacent to the massage room where you can freshen up and linger before heading out.
They also offer In-​suite treatment rooms (no lockers!). We saw that the signature services including the «Milk, Haute Honey and Rooftop Herbs» mani/​pedi with ingredients from the hotel’s rooftop garden and «Urban Island Escape» full-​body treatment (featuring a warm coconut-​honey toning body mask, exfoliating sugar glow scrub and rejuvenating massage followed by a rain shower rinse) sounded amazing as well, we will have to go back!
We liked the Final Touch service which includes a complimentary makeup refresh, shoe shine and suit steaming.
We have been to hundreds of spas as we travel full time (google PowerCoupleLife) and this is one of the BEST treatments we have ever gotten.
Did i mention the champagne and chocolates after the massage? Heaven is on earth at Guerlain!

This January I was celebrating our 3 year anniversary since my handsome man and I met. From the day one. I was appointed to the role of a Managing Director of the Date and Event Planning department in Our Relationship due to my creative spirit, excellent work ethics and the another employee of this entity (The Boyfriend) was not willing to take over this role.
Last year i came up with a plan to spend the date at Ancient Aire bath house which was wonderful and this year i decided to outdo myself and do something even more romantic.
Waldorf and Guerlain Spa– just saying the name out loud gave me a tingly pleasure and i was imagining myself at a time as a winner of the Powerball that everyone was talking about to a time. Having spend my birthday at Waldorf suites few years back– I always remembered Waldorf with warmth and notes of envy. I was talking about spending my anniversary at Waldorf to everyone.
The overall experience was $ 500+ which was 45 min couples massage in a private suite with bottle of champagne, chocolate truffles.
I saw that there was spot online but instead of booking online, I called the spa. receptionist said that they were fully booked for the day that I wanted. (I can see your website-​you have 2 spots? but I didn’t say anything), I asked her if she could keep my number and call if the spot will open up-​she said ok but I didn’t receive any call so after few hours, I just went online and booked the reservation.
The day of the rezzi, no calls to confirm-​i called and confirmed it myself. We came in and got two very lovely masseuse Marc and Nancy. They were very attentive, professional and courteous. We picked the flavors that we liked, music that we wanted and so on. I cannot complain about the massage, it was very nice.
But the suite itself, I mean –C’ommon!!! Suite? It was just a massage room with fancy shower in it. I literally got up t see if there was a door leading to the «suite» like in Narnia. No door-​, we were in a «suite»! Box of chocolates was a tiny box with 4 little pieces in it. Then when the massage was over– we had 15 – 20 mins to: wake up, take a shower, finish our champagne, get dressed. I am not thinking about romance in those 15 mins, I am thinking about ticking clock .
So in a nutshell– I really do not think it was worth the price tag. Even though massage was very nice, i paid for the experience and unless I used some imagination «enhancers» (for which i didn’t have any cash due to the $ 500 massage. Just kidding, or am I?), that experience really didn’t transport me anywhere besides to the lands of regrets.
Will I go there again? Maybe. With my own cash? read above.

Just finished having an amazing experience at Guerlain! My hubby gifted me the Urban Island Escape package last Christmas, and a year later, post baby, I finally got to enjoy it! The whole experience was A1! From the beautifully christmas décor in the Waldorf lobby to the posh entrance of the spa, it was all very gorgeous. I was running a little behind but they did not rush me at all! Fey was my masseuse and she was AMAZING and super nice!!! I enjoyed the body exfoliation and massage! All the products were amazing! My skin felt so smooth after and I was just so relaxed!
After it was done I showered and went
Off to get a make up refresher! It was quick and great and Lorenzo the make up artist was really nice!
Overall, I will definitely becoming back! It’s such a treat!

I’m giving 5 stars for Charmaine, the ambiance of the room and the glass of champagne but 4 stars overall purely because the massage itself is expensive (guess this is standard hotel spa rates).
Charmaine has very strong hands and worked wonders on my muscles aches. I may consider lashing out and spending the $ 215++ for a 50 minute massage once a year

I did not get the service I expected for a so-​called high end spa. I booked a package for a facial that included a makeup service. The facial was fine, however I was told that I couldn’t get the makeup service since the artist called in sick. They proposed to get me an appointment the next day (which is today). I came 15 minutes before the appointment only to be told half an hour later that the makeup artist would be late and I had to wait for another 45 minutes. I find it very unprofessional. No partial refund was offered. I am pretty sure, if I was the one who came late to the appointment, they would charge my credit card.

On a Friday after a long week, my boyfriend and I visited Guerlain Spa for the first time to unwind after a long week. We were both a little unsure and nervous that this would be too serious of an experience for our silly personalities, but to our relief both of our masseuse’s were great — Gabby and Mark were so friendly and made us feel so comfortable by joking around with us and giving us a full overview.
My only comments to the Spa management would be to confirm the appointment right after booking (I booked online and was never asked for my preference for a masseuse — male/​female etc.) I would also agree with some of the other clients that the 20 min get-​ready time is a bit short, and no one followed up to «warn» us that we should be ready to leave the room. Also, I was offered a «makeup refresher», but was never told where to go or who to meet. Not a big deal for me as I wasn’t planning on taking advantage of it anyway, but if this is a service that you are counting on, then I just recommend being a little assertive about it /​following up immediately after your massage and before the masseuse leaves the room.

My first experience at Guerlain. I was so looking forward to coming and getting facial here, it was wonderful! Everyone including Waldorf Astoria hotel staff welcomed and treat me very nicely, I feel very happy! And my face feels so great! Next time I’d love to come back for facial again also with my fiancé for couple massage!

Had a really excellent massage at the Guerlain spa. I also checked in since it was my first time there and unlocked a 20% off my treatment special. The treatment room was warm and relaxing. The lounge area was also very beautiful and welcoming. They offered drinks upon our arrival and made sure all your needs were attended to. Only reason for not giving it 5 stars was the locker room was a bit small and only offered a steam room and shower. Nothing too spectacular as far as that went compared to the mandarin oriental which had more elaborate facilities and amenities.

I came here with my husband to celebrate his birthday. Normally, I would avoid expensive spas like this one, but I was able to find a Travelzoo deal on it and decided to give it a try! We went for the couple’s massage in a private suite with an amazing steam & rain shower! The masseuses treated us well and we were presented with delicious Godiva chocolates and champagne. We were also able to choose what type of music we wanted and which scent we wanted to incorporate with our massage. I’d love to go back again!

Lapin and I came here to celebrate a milestone. We thought, what better way than to do a couples massage ($ 425) at the Guerlain Spa. The couples experience was a side by side massage in a private suite with a bottle of champagne and Godiva truffles (4pcs). The private suite was spacious and very gorgeous. We both loved the dual shower head and the steam room (Lapin insists that once we hit it rich, we are getting our bathroom done the same way, I am not holding my breath as much as I would kill for a bathroom like that). I also liked how they had a couple of products to try in the bathroom for both men and women.
Our masseuses were Marina and Ivete who were nice. Our massage was for 12:30pm and they were running a bit late but we were enjoying a complimentary mimosa while we waited. They took the time to let us pick which of the 4 scented oils we wanted and told us to make ourselves feel at home (although it would have been nice to know what we could have done in the room to make ourselves comfortable as we had no idea what we could or couldn’t touch). They also asked us what we would like them to focus on and any information we would like to disclose. They told us we would get 5 minutes to change but it felt like a bit longer since we were under the towels waiting for a bit. But I am not sure if the masseuse knocked when she bought the champagne but she saw me naked… then again I am sure she already saw what I had to offer. Lapin thought it was rude of her — I agreed with him but I didn’t care very much as I was about to get a massage!
We mentioned it was Lapin’s first massage and he would like it to with little pressure to start. He had Ivete and according to him that little old lady really did a number on him. He also ended up with a couple of scratches on him. He couldn’t stop talking about how much in pain he was in. Marina did a nice job for me. She stayed away from my sensitive areas and paid close attention the back and neck like I asked.
Marina was nice enough to set up the steam shower for us to enjoy after the massage. And boy, was that awesome. The only downside was, they only gave us 15 minutes to use the showers, try the products, and get dressed? We felt a bit rushed which isn’t a really good. I believe, 30 minutes for a couple to enjoy the room — take a shower and get ready is ample time instead of the 15 minutes which made us scramble to find towels and getting ready.
Our experience also included a makeup refresher, steaming our clothing, access to the spa facilities, and a shoe polish. For the makeup refresher (Ivete was kind enough to schedule me in), my makeup artist was funny and bubbly. He was awesome to work with but I felt like he was rushing a bit as he took like 10 minutes to do my makeup before hurrying to the next guest. I get it, he is just one person and it’s a complimentary service but he did spend 5 minutes trying to sell me on products while Lapin and I were getting ready to leave. For the steamed clothing, gym, and the shoe polish, no one mentioned that we could do it or where we could do it. Only after we paid and then mentioned about it, they told us we were supposed to ask before… would have been nice to know that… Would have been nice if they knew what package we had and let us know ahead of time… cause we are here to relax and not manage the logistics of our package.
On an off note, since we were celebrating an anniversary, we asked if we could keep the cork or the empty champagne bottle. We were told only if we were guests at the hotel. We live in NYC, like 20 minutes away, there is no reason for us to stay at hotel but we did choose to spend our anniversary at your Spa instead of the many many other spas available. And again, we mentioned that it was our anniversary, it’s not like the spa is going to re-​use the bottle or the cork. What is the harm in letting your guest have a memento (that they technically paid for).
Was it worth it? Probably not, but Lapin loved the way the Guerlain products smell and I can see a cache of luxury products coming my way. And that, is worth it.

Four for service. Three for spa.
I was disappointed with the actual spa. What a bummer. I’ve been to a number of spa in past couple years, and this did not «wow» me with luxury as I anticipated. The lobby is nice and well decorated, and bright and clean. The relaxation room? Undeniably needs renovation. It’s so obvious. Shame, shame. Do I blame Guerlain or do I blame the Waldorf Astoria? Dunno. And nothing to munch on in the relaxation room? Odd. No nuts. No fruit. No chocolates. No hot tea. Odd
The massage room? Fine. But it seems there may be different ones/​sizes? But I had no problem with the size. It seems this is a regular hotel floor with 60% of it kept as is — hence the ‘massage suites’. It’s great that there are guerlain products to sample in the room, but the bathroom has standard products — like really cheap versions. Shame, shame. Not appropriate for a spa of this [supposed] caliber. The makeup area — not bad but looked a bit… off balance. Something was off.
The service was great though. Everyone asked me how I was doing or if I needed anything and there was no attitude or snicker. My masseuse (young male) was was fine. Not amazing, but he did have his strengths and was able to pinpoint some problem areas very well, with good results
Thank goodness I got this on a «deal» as I could easily see me buying a spa day for full price — but undeniably not worth it as it relates to ambiance. Please revamp the entire spa (except lobby — it’s good). Justify your prices and your «signature spa» status. Skip the suites and go for standard group bathroom with high quality toiletries and sauna etc. Having to go all the way on the «other side» to use a sauna is unfortunate.

Spoiled myself silly after landing in nyc from a red eye flight. I have been looking forward to coming to this place for a long time. Beautiful spa with refined touches. I do agree with some of the reviews that it’s lacking in some amenities such as a sauna, a hot tub, a cold plunge, an actual relaxation room but overall a very luxurious place. When I made the appointment, the gal on the phone was extremely friendly and helpful. She answered my many questions patiently and explained everything. The check in process was seamless, they whisked away from luggage to store for me. I also asked them to steam a dress and a peacoat that I planned to change into after my services which was complimentary. The gal who checked me in walked me to the locker room a d showed me around. She left a big fluffy robe and slippers. Man was that robe awesome. I wish I can wear it everyday in public. I sat in the steam room to open my pores and wake me up a little before my treatments. After the steam room, I was led to the Grand salon where I was provided with a glass of champagne. They pulled the semi sheer curtains to provide me with some privacy while I relaxed.
The gal drew my hydrotherapy bath and when I walked in I was amazed with the hydrotherapy room. It was absolutely gorgeous and huge. She left me a second robe and slippers so I can change into something dry after getting out of the tub. The hydrotherapy was amazing, it had different jets massaging your body. It was like a huge bubble bath. Bubble bath, champagne, sinatra, and a lovely room… So awesome.
After my bath, I was led to my massage suite which is arguably bigger than some hotel rooms in nyc. The décor was absolutely beautiful and serene. It had it’s own private shower and bathroom with all the personal hygiene products. My massage therapist was very sweet and personable. She took such good care of me. She asked what kind of music would I suggest and I picked classical. Immediately, claire de lune claude debussy came on which is one of most favorite compositions. A great start to my massage. I upgraded to add the facial mask which was a great idea as it restored some moisture to my complexion after the long flight with little sleep. One of the best things about the massage was the duvet. I wish I had one at home to sleep with every night. It was the most comfortable and soft duvet I’ve ever felt.
After my message, the therapist brought me another glass of champagne and gave me 20 mins to rest and relax in the suite.
I grabbed a shower and changed into my freshly steamed garments. Upon check out they gave me some hot tea while I waited for my make up refresh which was also complimentary.
What a blissful adventure. It’s not cheap but worth every penny. An amazing start to my nyc trip and really set the tone for me. Thank you, Guerlain Spa!

Jamira is the absolute best facialist I have ever had in all of NYC (and I’ve had quite a few facials). My skin has never looked better, and the entire spa is heavenly and exactly what you would expect from the Waldorf. She carefully explains everything she is going to do/​use before she applies it to your skin, which is a huge deal for me having such sensitive skin. I’ve received 4 facials thus far – and the only one that was so-​so was the one I did not have Jamira. (I don’t remember the other esthetician’s name.)
But Jamira is a total godsend and it’s safe to say I’m hooked on her facials.

If you ever want to feel like royalty, spend a couple hours here. You will start talking and walking like you’re from the upper class by the time you leave.
My experience here from start to finish was beyond anything I could’ve imagined. As if the Waldoof hotel wasn’t intimidating enough, you step off the elevator and you seeing bright chandlers, perfectly waxed floors, and smiling staff opening doors and welcoming you.
I came in an hour earlier than appointment time. I came to redeem a gift certificate here for a gentlemen’s package (initially not knowing what it included – later on finding out it was deep tissue massage and a manicure), check-​in was very smooth, I was seated in a waiting area that included magazines and lemon water.
The only negative part of the experience was that after a couple of minutes of waiting, I had to return to the front desk to inquire about amenities in addition to my massage since I was instructed to come early to enjoy other services. She apologized and walked me to a steam room – that’s where the fun began.
I was the only person there so needless to say I let it all hang out and enjoyed a relaxing 30 minutes in the steam room. I was able to shower off and come back into the waiting room.
I was called in at exactly appointment time, laid on the table and within minutes of the massage I fell asleep (i think I even snored too). It was remarkable the way they tailor the room and the experience to exactly how you want it.
Manicurist was also very good, extremely social, pleasant, friendly. By the end of the experience I felt ready to deal with the stress of life again.
I highly recommend this place for a massage and spa service, yes it’s pricier than other places but you get what you pay for.

One of the most exclusive spa experiences you can find in NYC… I had a lovely diner at the restaurant downstairs from the spa (Bull and Bear) then went upstairs to my private spa suite with the best sparkling wine you’ve ever tasted… lovely room… Very accommodating staff and plenty of delectable perfumes for you to try…
I would’ve loved if the desk had a few samples for me to take with me as it was extremely hard to choose between all the different scents…
Other than that, I have not one complaint with the Guerlain
