Bay Ridge has a modest string of ‘crafts shops’ on Third Avenue. This –in my opinion – is the nicest. A very warm, colorful, creative, pleasing-to-the-eye presentation of wares, as soon as you walk in. Little concoctions and contraptions made of wood and wool and thread; porcelain and fluff and wire. Very comfortable to browse around – I think they have aromatherapy as an ongoing element in the air – and there is thick pile carpeting under your tread. Soothing; quiet; cozy. Take little kids with you as there are all manner of things to delight their attention. Shelf after shelf of delicate, ornate little doodads – gimgaws – knick-knacks. Best variety I’ve found among the shops which are its peers; and friendly customer service.
