Master Malick Coulibaly dit Fall, a master and world class competitor, began studying taekwondo in 1982 in his home country of Mali, West Africa. As a red belt, he won his first national championship and remained National Champion of Mali from 1986 to 1993. During this time, he received his 1st and 2nd Degree Black Belts. In 1993, he went to New York to singly represent his country in the World Taekwondo Championships at Madison Square Garden where he reached the quarterfinals.
After the World Championships, he moved to New York. Shortly after he arrived, he found West Side Taekwondo. There he received his 3rd and 4th Degree Black Belts and continued competing.
He left West Side Taekwondo in 2001 to open his own school, Harlem Tae Kwon Do, in 2002. In 2006, he founded One World Taekwondo Foundation, a non-profit organization aimed at providing taekwondo to members of the community that cannot afford to join.
