Extraordinary service but not feeling the portions. Cold vegetables aren’t pleasing either. Prices could be conducive to the meal. $ 22 for 4 Oz of chicken in teriyaki

I love Hee for being outside of Ktown and never being too loud, and still having pretty good food/meat. Hee is one of my go-to Korean gogi places :)

So when I go out to diner the chef in the kitchen is the one that usually cooks right? well not here my friends. We were a party of 10 and waited about 20 minutes, not bad. But then after the table had been set water placed the host tells us we need to move tables because the burner on our table does not work. So we start the hokey pokey and we turn ourselves around and even had to move our own silverware and water cups, napkins and all. We proceed to order and thank God that our Italian World Traveler«Mr. World-wide Porto» explained the menu. Then came out a tray with a poparri of vegetables and other vegetarian delights which again we had no idea what they were, save the day Mr. World-wide. Then came the tray with meats, not impressed, half a mushroom a thick onion slice, one NY Strip, two paper thin pieces of flank steak and some beef small chunks. The flank steak was harder than the rock of Gabralter and the NY Strip was as flavourful as a plain McDonald’s pattie. This soup in the middle was good. The place gets three stars and thats only because the company and watching my friend, Pepe«El Matador» struggle to cut the meat with a pair of what looked like something out of Edward Scissors Hands movie was worth every penny of the meal I went out for and had to cook myself.

I came here with a party of 6, and it was not a disappointment. The meat was very high quality, our server was extremely helpful and took time to explain the process and the different dishes, and the portion sizes were sizable. Highly recommend the BBQ and the calamari! Making Hees is actually pretty fun and a great to socialize over dinner. It’s a bit pricey, but such is life when you’re dining in Midtown.

The seafood pancake appetizer was delicious. The table side grill was so unique. Our waiter provided excellent guidance on quantities to order and then cooked the meats to our liking. Would highly recommend!

I have eaten here twice once in July and once this week. Both times I was very happy. I got the same thing both times the grilled meats. The BBQ for 2 is expensive about $ 80. Both times we went we ordered a individual chicken and beef. Chicken was about $ 25 beef about $ 30, and it was more then enough for two people and saves about $ 25 then ordering a combo. We also got pan fried vegetable dumplings which were average The meat was all high quality and very good. They will bring you white rice if you ask for it. next time I go I plan to try the hot pot . I will return Atmosphere– good service — average but friendly food — excellent

We called to make a dinner reservation for 11 people. Somehow, it was never logged and our reservation was lost. The employees were trying their best to accommodate us, but for us to wait an hour to even get seats, almost threw my experience. It was a horrible first impression and it seemed like we became an inconvenient. Finally, they told us we can be seated but our group had to be seated separately. At that point, we didn’t care. We were nearing hangry! But, once we sat down the entire dinner experience-the staff, the food, their willing to assist was beyond our expectations We were split in three different tables. Our table ordered a 3-combo of spicy pork belly, non-marinated pork belly, and kalbi. Seriously nothing short of delicious. Tender meat and perfect marination. It was food for three, but was great for us 3 ladies and a guy. I also ordered the seafood soon du bu. Not shy of seafood at all. I just wish it came sizzling. I don’t even know if our egg cooked lol. It was our friends birthday. The staff were amazing in assisting us with surprising our friend with a cake! I’ll save the details, but it made our dinner experience that much more amazing we ended up leaving another 20% on top of the 18% we left. It’s a small restaurant, I would recommend making reservations.

This is not a condemnation of this restaurant per se. We actually really enjoyed the food here. The service is less than friendly and the prices are a little steep for the portion size but the food was really tasty. The spicy pork was probably the best I’ve had in a while. The issue is that I’m currently laid up because of a worse than mild case of food poisoning– if I had to guess, salmonella. My partner and I had the exact same foods for the last 2 days with the one exception– the lightly cooked bean sprouts served as part of the banchan. When you go out as much as we do, food borne illness kinda goes with the territory– to date: three more or less serious cases. This is just a reminder to us all, and especially to this restaurant, that bean sprouts that are raw or lightly cooked are always a risky food. Even with proper handling and storage they can harbor dangerous bacteria(like I said– not an indictment of this establishment). That said– Dear restaurant owner: if you care, please reach out to me so that we can discuss some ways these types of incidents can be avoided in the future…

Walked in with a party of 9 and were treated like Kings — great food, great service. Everyone had a great time, even saw a food network celebrity chef eating there.

I’ve passed by Hee Korean BBQ Grill many times, and usually after a workout which often left my mouth watering! Finally made it there — and I was NOT disappointed. My friend and I started off with the house white wine — which was great — light and not too dry and decently proced. We then ordered one of the«for 2 people» meals as an entrée(more on that later), and prior the waiter brought us a spread of Korean side dishes, ranging from kim chi to thinly sliced and light battered tofu strips to sprouts and we dug in and finished it — and then asked for more! The entrée(Bulgogi Jeongol — marinated thin sliced ribeye, casserole with udon noodles and assorted vegetables) came in a wide, low rimmed pot and was placed on the heating pad on the table, and pretty soon it started to sizzle! The beef was extravagant and the vegetables crisp and fresh. The broth was unlike anything I had had before — not to salty, with a hint of sweet and spicy that was overall quite savory. I will be going back to have the actual BBQ soon, and to test out their bibimbap as that is one of my favorite Korean dishes. Thumbs up for a great dining experience! One small caveat is that the waiter asked us to leave to seat more guests!

Quality of meat is top tier y’all. If you’re looking for good korean BBQ, this is the place. The meat is better than most places and the servers are really attentive. They come around and grill, cut and distribute the meat amongst everyone sitting at the table. I just get to watch and smell the goodness before it lands straight on my plate. I had the marinated and I would recommend that one to first-timers. I personally like the regular meat without the marinade because good meat needs no marinade and that’s probably the case with Hee, but my friends wanted the marinated meat. In addition to the meat, get the japchae. It’s different from traditional japchae — I don’t know how, but it tastes better. Definitely worth getting it and splitting with others because it’s a pretty big dish and noodles can fill you up. Overall, it’s a great spot for some good old Korean food!

Excellent service and great quality meat. We were a party of 4 and came on a Sunday evening at 7. There was no wait at all. We went for the bbq so we got the C6 combo for three. Wish they had combo for four people. I think they should add this. Party of 4 seems to be pretty standard right? Side dishes were pretty good. The meat came out looking very clean and fresh. They cooked everything to our liking(we said medium rare) and served us equal portions each as things were done cooking. My plate was never empty. We were given more lettuce as soon as we asked. And they refilled our side dishes when we didn’t even ask. I have nothing to complain about… Except it was a bit pricey. $ 99 for the combo for 3 people. Definitely went for dessert after our meal because we all felt like we could eat more. But i guess it’s worth it because you are paying for the service and quality of food, which were both beyond expectations!

I love this place. Came here as a date night. I have never had Korean BBQ before but I am familiar with some of the more well known specialties. We ordered the dumplings as a starter although the it came out with all the side dishes. We ordered the combination 1 which I feel is the best bang for your buck. It was a sirloin a flank like steak and a sokiyaki cut(excuse my spelling). The server walked me through all the sides and the proper ways to enjoy them. He also recommended the Bohae which was absolutely delicious. I can’t wait to come back and try one of their lunch specials or soups. Just remember for two: combination 1, Bohae, and an app… You can’t go wrong

Great tasting food, and excellent service. What more can I ask for? This restaurant is one of the best I’ve been to. I used to goto Ktown for my Korean BBQ needs, not anymore!

You could tell this place is sort of Americanized. which is not a bad thing the spicy level here is good. It packs the flavor and at the same time not leaving the burning sensation you usually get after eating korean food I highly recommend this place. very clean and yet traditional/americanized korean food must try the kbbq here

This place is nice and spacious, and you gotta love the suction cups that will take away the BBQ smell from your clothes! Haha. We had the popular meat combo(C1 or something? They’ll let you know) and it was tasty and filling! I also enjoyed the soup they make in the middle for you, which included some scallions, mushrooms and udon noodles. Yumm! We also parked our stroller right next to our table, which was nice. Service was quick and friendly as well.

Dropped by this new spot with a few friends. Korean BBQ has this general notion of being pricey. But the meat here for the price… you can’t beat it anywhere else. The meat melts in your mouth. That’s how you know you’re eating some prime grade A meat. The servers grill it just right and even place the done bbq on your plate. Nothing I like more than a full service :) They serve a generous portion of traditional Korean side dishes. Everyone there was just so nice. Made the whole experience so pleasant. Will be coming back with my family this time!
