Jerri’s Cleaners & Launderers

My two items just came back still stained. They also now smell like a thrift shop — meaning they reek of mothballs and old people. The smell is insufferable and now I have to pay someone else to clean them a second time.

I have been a happy customer of Jerri’s for about 2 months. But today I was blown away. I lost my money clip and could not find it for over a week. Today, when unpacking my laundry, I found the money clip and $ 60 in an envelope at the bottom of the bag. i called to thank Mike personally. I know Jerri’s uses a partner to help with the wash and fold, but the point is whether it’s Jerri’s or their partners, this place can be trusted. I’m thankful to have my local dry cleaner and wouldn’t think of using anyone else.

I’ve been going to Jerri’s for the past 2 years and have never had a problem. They’ve always treated my clothes with the best care and have always tailored my clothes perfectly. I’ve moved out of the neighborhood now and now I’m on the hunt for another cleaners that’s as good as jerri’s.

I was reminded again today why these guys are the best.
I brought in 7 different pieces with almost 7 different problems (ring around the collar, a variety of food stains, mystery stains, odors, a pullled thread, strange misshapen shoulders from my attempt at home laundering) and when I got home tonight, everything was PERFECT.
I feel like I have just fallen in love with my wardrobe again. No need to go on a spring shopping spree. Total win.

This is a love letter to Jerri’s cleaners: I have never found another cleaner ANYWHERE that can get stains out the way Mike can. In the past, other cleaners have told me something couldn’t be done without even trying to work on it. Mike has never refused to try to get a stain out, even though he often cautions me that it may not be possible. In 90% of the cases, the stains, with his excellent attention to detail, come out! Where they don’t, I know there’s no point taking the garment elsewhere because, if he can’t get it out, it surely won’t come out. Mike is the sultan of stain removal… and the best!
I can’t recommend Mike and the excellent staff at Jerri’s enough. Aside from removing stains, they are courteous, competent and prompt with deliveries.

I’ve been going to Jerri’s for years. Best dry cleaners in the business. Professional and hard working guys. Can’t recommend them enough.

I have been going to Jerri’s for over 10 years, for dry-​cleaning and basic alterations, and they are great. Never ever had a problem, and I’m sure if I did they’d do everything they could to fix it. The owners and staff are friendly, and just want to make your life easier. Love having them pick stuff up at my building and drop it back clean and perfect 2 days later. And you can call or leave them little notes if you have anything special. Meena, who does the alterations, is super nice, I like to go by just to see him.

I went here to have a black smudge cleaned out of my pants. My pants came back looking like they had been dipped in bleach. Color was faded, with distress marks where there had been none. They’re ruined.

We have been using Jerri’s for over 18 years. They do a very professional job and they have never lost anything. I think the owners are great and the tailor too. A little expensive, yes, so four stars. Pick-​up and delivery are seamless.

I’ve been using these guys for years without problems. They’ve always been serious about their work, and they’re easy to communicate with. I’ve been surprised a couple of times when they got out stains that I thought would never come out. I personally think these guys are top notch.

As you can see below, the owner is abusive, insulting and still refuses to take any accountability for losing my clothes. It’s now been over two months since he lost my clothes and I’m still waiting for his insurance company to settle the issue with me.

I agree that the price is a little higher than places in the area, but I rely on these guys for stains that my regular, lower-​priced, dry cleaner doesn’t get out. Jerri’s is also good about taking something back a 2^nd time and trying to get the stain out, and their delivery is pretty reliable.
My advice is to take your regular, non-​stained items to your regular place, and go to Jerri’s for the real stains, since their prices are a little high.

I’ve only brought two items there. One was a dress and they wanted to charge $ 15 to dry clean. When I saw the price, I told them thanks but I’ll find another place and sure enough they reduced the price.
I guess they just charge as much as possible until you fuss.
I don’t know how anyone can afford to bring their clothes here on a regular basis, I sure can’t.

Jerri’s is a great dry cleaners. The owners are always on the premises and they’ve had the same staff for years. It is pricier than others BUT they delivery quality cleaning. If you have expensive clothes that require extra care than Jerri’s is the place to go. They are the only cleaners I’ll bring my Prada suits to, and that’s saying a lot!

yeah OK, not the cheapest cleaners in town. They charge 20 cents more per pound for wash and fold than other places do. But you know what, those other places do not have free delivery AND you have to separate whites and colors. If you are a color blind lazy ass bastard who likes to dump dirty clothes in a hamper and have’em delivered in a nice little cube shaped clean bundle of joy to your stratosphere apt., then Jerri’s is the way to go.

Brought in a jacket to have the sleeve shortened. They just cut down on the length without adjusting the position of the buttons, which made it look retarded. Actually it would have been better for them to adjust it at the shoulder, as moving the buttons was tough.
Anyway, the guy got completely nasty when I raised the issue, admitted that it looked awful but he didn’t care less. He said that I should «take it to court.» What a jerk.
P. S. I just wandered by here and saw some of the more recent reviews since I wrote this one. Same high prices, same jerk owner. I see some guy brought by 25 pounds of clothes that Jerri’s lost, and the owner refused to reimburse him and told him to «hire a lawyer.» I’m amazed these apes are still in business.

Jerri’s actually got me so miffed at paying for laundry I actually went out and bought an apartment sized washer! So I guess I owe them a thank you for that.
I hit my regular wash and fold joint a while ago and was already late for work when I saw the signed taped to the door saying «back soon». What’s «soon»? So I walked across the street to Jerri’s: it looked a little fancier, but hey, it’s wash and fold; the prices can’t be THAT different, can they?
Oh, no. Check the bill I got when I picked it up. Two average bags of laundry!
Yeah, that’s right; a total of SIXTY DOLLARS to do two bags! a THIRTEEN DOLLAR CHARGE to hang-​dry some jeans and a couple of shirts! A TEN DOLLAR SURCHARGE to wash a BATHMAT! «oh sir», says the guy when I wave the bill under his nose and ask in the politest possible way «wtf is this». «we’d never wash your bathmat with your regular clothes».
No, of course, you wouldn’t want something my feet have touched mixed up with my boxer shorts, which have spent the entire day sitting next to my BOTTOM. That would be horrible! I put the god damned bath mat IN WITH the socks and boxers thinking they’d get done in a seperate load. You know, since they were all WHITE? Did you get that big hint? No no, they picked the bathmat OUT of my specifically arranged bag and gave it the regal treatment. Shit, for ten bucks, I hope it got a «happy ending» while it was in there. Can you imagine washing your bathmat with your socks? The horror!
I’m sure they do a lovely job doing suits and mink coats and what the hell ever, but after paying sixty bucks to wash some jeans, a few shirts and a god damned bath mat, I broke down, went to JR, and bought myself one of those Haier portable washers.
Best 200 bucks I ever spent! I heartily recommend you break free of the tyranny of the wash and fold racket and get one yourself! Hang the stuff while you’re at work and it’s dry when you get home. No brainer.
