LASHES On 5th

Yesterday I had a wonderful experience at Lashes on the 5^th, Camille (owner), was amazing– she spent so much time with my lashes, totally making me feel like a complete princess –while getting a manicure and a pedicure as I lie on the table in her hands! The atmosphere is classic beauty and elegance, as is the staff, I felt as if I never wanted to leave, this is a great experience for anyone who needs to be pampered, I can’t wait to go back… Don’t walk –run to get pampered and feel like a princess!

Lashes on 5^th is the perfect place for eyelash extensions. The services has always been impeccable and they are very gentle, courteous and caring throughout the entire process. Lashes on 5^th is very clean, exceptionally beautiful and they have everything you could possibly need. Every time I go, the front desk truly wants to know about my experience and is consistently striving for perfection. Added bonus: you get a surprise foot massage during the process! Highly recommend Lashes on 5^th!

I have had eyelash extensions done elsewhere and was only «meh» about it as they had fallen out quickly and taken forever to get done. I saw a groupon and read the Unilocal reviews and figured I would try it again at Lashes on 5^th. I am very very glad that I did. The space itself is lovely and very relaxing and everyone there was very nice. I worked with Suji who was great. She helped me pick what would look best on me and I got cat eye natural lashes. It was very comfortable while she put them on and when it was done my eyes did not feel heavy or anything. It feels so natural and I love the way it looks. I already made an appointment for a 2 week refill. I love it.

This is my first time to get a lash extension. Had a great experience here. Crystal is so sweet and did a great job. My lashes stayed on even with alot of eye rubbing due to allergy. They looked so natural and beautiful. I am hooked

Great place and wonderful service. Very nice appearance/​décor, with privacy and comfort during your appointment. I got my lashes done there multiple times with Crystal. She is very nice and accomodating, definitely plan to come back again!

Aki did great job for me! I’m so satisfied! I had bad experience that when I got eyelash from another person, it was too much and it didn’t look good so I hadn’t gotten eyelash since that experience. But her work was perfect! Thank you Aki!!!

I’m posting this review as someone who has posted maybe 2 reviews before… that’s how you know I felt strongly compelled to let others hear about how fabulous this place is!!!
I bought a Gilt deal for one set of natural lashes and a two week touch up and couldn’t be happier or more addicted…
This place was amazing! I had never gotten lash extensions before and after seeing the deal on Gilt and researching the Unilocal reviews I thought it was a perfect holiday present for my mom and me. She had been talking about how she wanted to get lash extensions for a while and I had certainly been interested as well.
Making an appointment was easy and they had great availability. I even changed my touch-​up appointment a few times and they were accommodating each and every time!
My mom is a nervous/​anxious person and when I walked in there were two women helping her decide on the shape she wanted, thickness, length, etc. She was clearly well tended to, as was I, and this made her feel calm and excited.
After we decided what we wanted we went into a big clean room with a bunch of application stations with beds and a place for your shoes/​handbag.
The application process was easy, calming, took about an hour and included an incredible and complete foot massage.
The girl who did my lashes the first time was wonderful as was the girl who did them the second time for the 2 week touch-​up. I don’t remember the name of the girl who did my original set but the girl who did my touch-​up was Aki and she was fabulous! Both girls did a thorough job and clearly knew exactly what they were doing.
Overall wonderful experience. I recommend anyone thinking of getting this lash service to come to Lashes on 5^th!

Not so long ago, I had purchased a lash pkg from a spa due to its vicinity to me and the price per session. I guess I needed a lil break from Bling and wanted to see what’s out there. Regrets ensued, but then again every mistake is a learning experience. *high fives self for turning it into a positive!
Went to this spot cuz I was in the area and my princess attitude was in full affect and I needed lashes then and there, no matter what! The outcome was excellent, Camilla did a sweet bang up job! *applause! Reminiscent of Anne’s handiwork at Bling. The next time I went in, Mina did my lashes and they were pretty good plus they stayed on for a veeeeeeeeeeeerry long ass time, much longer than lash pkg place. Sold! Into the Filofax you go. Foreva.
Conclusion: Quality lash spot. I likey! This is not a $ 60 spot, and therefor the expertise is much better. Trust me, I definitely tried to get gold standard at a lower price, failed and realized that it just isn’t worth it basically. Lon5th is on that Bling level, well it’s on the Anne from Bling level.

Two stars because the staff is always very courteous. First visit was fine. I wasn’t too satisfied with my lashes but they were done & that all that mattered.
Next visit, I booked an appointment fora mani + pedi + lashes. I thought my feet were going to be soaked & well taken care of but my «pedi» consisted of my feet being wipe & toe nails painted. Same for my mani.
When it came to the lashes, they didn’t really last three days. They started shedding. I applied coconut oil to what was left only to find out that one extension what attached to each three of my lashes which made them feel very uncomfortable to wear & very painful to remove. I wish the tech had informed me that my lashes were too week for extensions

After going to a lash salon competitor who has become extremely disappointing recently, I read a few reviews and found lashes on 5^th. I am always extremely cautious with anything to do with face/​hair and even more do with eyes so I was apprehensive about trying somewhere new.
When I got to lashes on 5^th I was so blown away with how beautiful the space was– well decorated, stylish and most of all clean and hygienic.
I explained what I wanted and went with the technician who was lovely and kind. She worked quickly and time flew with complimentary leg massages!
When complete it was a lovely job and felt light and secure. The price was comparable to any other salon which surprised me as they were definstely more upmarket! There was a new client discount that was 25% off.
When I got home I realized the shape wasn’t what I wanted. I had been given what I asked for but had not explained correctly what I wanted! Lashes on 5^th were amazing, they brought me back in snd redid the lashes to the exact way I wanted them-​complimentary. And not only were these complimentary, they were so pleasant and professional about the whole situation.
I now have the most perfect lashes– exactly what I wanted– and lashes on 5^th have secured me as a repeat customer.
Best lash salon in the city– and I’ve tried most of them! Do yourself a favor and try them out!

The place is a little hidden gem. It’s on the 2^nd Floor on top of a restaurant, but they have there logo sign right outside.

I like the space, clean, pretty and comfortable. They’re very accommodating. You can have a free foot massage while you’re falling asleep during the session.
I am leaving off some stars because every time I go here my eyes are very itchy afterwards and it seems like there are cemented for a day or so. I think this second round I ended up losing a bunch more lashes because it was so itchy I kept rubbing my eyes. The first time I went I had someone apply them who was definitely a smoker so that wasn’t a pleasant experience for my nose and mouth.
Overall I’m not sure if I would adopt this place for my eyelash addiction. The actual lashes were applied well but they fell off pretty quickly the first time (smoker hands) and I ended up scratching them off the second time (from the glue?).

The original receptionist who I met on my first visit reached out to me and offered for me to come back and scheduled an appt with a different technician. This technician would use the blow dryer thing every so often, instead of just drying them at the end. My lashes looked great the first day, but still many lashes fell out the next day from my left eye. The staff here was very nice and returned my money from my last trip. I will definitely come back just because they are so committed to providing excellent customer service.

I am very happy about this place! I moved to NYC couple of years ago and it was the first and the last place I go to do my lashes! Aki is great and she gave me perfect eyelashes which I wanted! I warmly recommend this place!!!

This was my 2^nd time getting professional falsies, my first experience was good — but wanted to find a location closer to work. So after reading reviews, decided on Lashes on 5^th. I had a weekend event 2 weeks ago and wanted something natural looking. I don’t know if there was a misunderstanding of what I wanted done but I left the place looking as if I’m going to a Vegas Showdown. It was overwhelming and… a bit sloppy.
I can clearly see clumps of lashes, some were swaying in different directions and because I have sensitive skin, my eyes were getting watery from the poking. The technician obviously glued them TOO CLOSE to my eyes. The technician reassured me that it’s normal and once you brush out the lashes, the clumps won’t be there.
1 day after, half the lashes fell out and worse, the clumps got thicker. YES — I followed the ‘care’ instructions because I paid for these suckers! What’s WORSE then falsies falling out so quickly? IT FREAKING took my real ones along with it. If I wanted to superglue falsies to my lashes, I’ll have my kids do it! NEVER will I go back to this place.

Such a great experience. Super clean, cute space with really sweet staff.
My lashes came out great and I was so comfortable I fell asleep and woke up with gorgeous lashes! Will make sure to come back here.

The management and the manager for Lashes on 5^th is beyond par. The team contacted me few days after my first visit, which shows that they really care about their customers. I came back few days ago to get a new set of lashes. This time it was with the manager Camilla. Camilla is very nice and accommodating. She told me the last set that I got were a bit too long and if I wanted to try something new. Instead of the cat eye, I decided to go with a more natural look (round shape). Camilla spent a long time on me even tho the place started to get busy. She removed my old set gently and carefully applied the new set.
This is day 3 and so far so good. I haven’t seen any lashes falling out yet !
I definitely recommended this place to one of my co workers after she complimented on my lashes! I think she would be heading there soon! Will be back!

I am a total newbie when it comes to lash extensions but am now entirely obsessed !
I have gotten mine 3x now here and the service is top notch — from Christina at the front desk to Camilla who has me walking out like I own the world (with my eyelashes).
I have very sensitive skin and was very extremely concerned about doing anything like this to my eyes and skin but it’s been such a great experience ! Camilla is a super star ! So don’t be nervous if you are concerned as well. Also ask for the complimentary wine before the session — helps to take a nap while they are working their magic .
To sum up: I really feel beautiful when I walk out. Eyelashes are awesome — especially if you have deep set eyes like I do. Nobody has noticed that they are «fake» because the application is so prefect.

I am a bad eye-​lash care taker, so the first set (110 per eye) started falling off the first day :(
When i went back for my touch up, they used a «stronger» glue that really stained… but i guess kept the lashes on longer.
They consulted with me on shape and length before we started (I had C curve in 12 length) Something I wish was presented to me was a choice: 1) option to updated to silk lashes & 2) choose my glue in advance

It took me 2 hours to get lashes that I didn’t even like.
The tape they used irritated my eyes in which I never experienced this before. I get my lashes done once a month and tried this place for the first time. After the first week nearly 50% of my lashes came off. The reason why I wasn’t pleased with them when I left is because I was very specific on the style and length I requested. Because I get my lashes done so frequently I am aware of the look I prefer. Lashes are very expensive and time consuming so I expect the best when I am finish.
I’m sadden to say that I don’t recommend this place and will not be returning.
