Their avocado toast and an americano are my favorite ways to start the day!

Loved this place! Went here for a quick brunch and it was delicious. I got the waffle and a boiled egg and my husband got the avocado toast. The waffle was so good, kind of flaky like a pastry and so tasty with fruit and a little syrup on top. Avocado toast was amazing too! Service was polite and attentive. Definitely would go here again and recommend it to anyone.

This was my go to while in NY — I have crossed this restaurant off my list after the dining experience today. Salty food. Incorrect order twice. Nice servers who are not adequately trained by management. Why not support and train your team?

A good hangout place closer to Columbus Circle. Quality of the food was good as well. I am a dessert person, but I didn’t find the Belgium chocolate brownie that I ordered any extraordinary. Being a student in the city, I found the price a little expensive for the quantity served.

The chilled bisque was perfectly refreshing on a summer day with just a hint of citrus. The toast with avocado, corn, and shrimp was simple but unbelievably good.

This is the place for breakfast. Get yourself at the big wooden table with many of their jam and different spreads jars, order cinnamon late and get your frittata and trust me you will enjoy. You will be ready to take on any day of the week after this.

I met up with friends for lunch. I ordered a salmon salad thinking it was cook salmon as in a filet. it was the most expensive salad on the menu at almost $ 18, what I got a mere 3 slices of smoked salmon and a little bit of greens. I also ordered a chai latte, which was lukewarm when I got it. sorry to say… way over priced for what it is. it literally cost me $ 30 for the lunch. and i had to go get another lunch.

I’m so glad we found this little gem for brunch/lunch. It’s a nice place somewhat hidden from the hustle and bustle of the city despite being a block from Central Park. We came here for lunch after strolling around Central Park in the morning. It was only upon checking in after getting being seated that I saw the many positive reviews, which got me excited. Surprisingly they weren’t too busy being a Saturday just after noon. Perhaps most people sleep in during the weekend, since it got visibly crowded as we were about done. This place is suitable for families and individuals alike. I see families dining and chatting happily with one another, or individuals in their headphones reading as they go through their meals. And I can imagine myself doing either so it’s great. I had the avocado toast, which came with citrus cumin salt, organic chia seeds, some greens and carrots and extra virgin olive oil. It is green and pretty. In addition to the avocado spread, the toast was topped with fresh avocado slides! The only thing is that the cumin salt was way too salty for me. I had to pick out the salt grains with the fork as I was eating my way through the toast, so if you are having it for the first time it’s something to note. I would omit that in future, but other than that the toast was delicious and fills me up before heading off for desserts. Their salads and soup of the day were also good choices. When I was there they had corn chowder, one of my favorite soups. And the salads were refreshing. We had plans elsewhere for desserts otherwise I would certainly try their tarts and pastries. They are too tempting to pass.

I’m not sure what the hype with Le Pain Quotidien is – it feels like every time I go to a location I am deeply underwhelmed. I tried some of their raisin bread and mocha coffee — it was less than mediocre and overpriced. They had a watermelon, mint & lemon concoction that sounded refreshing but also failed to impress. They also only have one bathroom here so plan on waiting in the queue for 20+ minutes to use the restroom. The only nice thing about this establishment is that the waitstaff are supremely nice. Other than that, the food is abysmal, overrated & overpriced. Why have so many locations in the city when none of them are monitored for quality control. When creating this establishment, it was meant to be quality & artisanal — it has become like the H&M or Zara of bakeries in the city.

Loved the atmosphere and interior design of this restaurant! As I’m sure many tourists do, I came here from the Central Park/Met area, looking for a place to eat lunch. It was a relatively close walk from the Met. Inside, there’s a lot of wood furniture, industrial detailing, and interesting little details like cool light fixtures hanging from the ceiling and jars of different jams/chocolate spreads/honey on the smaller tables(I say«smaller tables» because there were some long communal tables too up front, which looked super cool. I love it when restaurants have those kinds of tables. Very neighborhood-y). Water was in one of those large glass bottles that was placed on our table at the beginning of the meal, which I personally am a big fan of because 1) Looks cool, and 2) You can refill your own glass and run out of water less quickly that way. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Cobb salad, and my mom had the Smoked Salmon Tartine. Food arrived within a pretty decent time. My salad was great, and I liked how they served bread as a side with it too. As for the tartine, this was the first time that I’ve been introduced to them, so my initial impressions were that it was served in a pretty cool/fancy way(on a wooden board, all flat-like), and also that they were a little smaller than expected. When I read«open-faced sandwich,» I assumed the sandwich to be a bit bigger than the four small, dainty squares of bread my mom was served. Alas. This is probably just the way tartines are designed to be, though, so one cannot fault the restaurant for being authentic, if this is the case. The service was great here. My phone was almost dead(#touristproblems) when I arrived at the restaurant, so the waitress graciously took it over to a place where it could charge(and I could keep an eye on it). I am very appreciative of that, as it’s a real problem to have a dead phone while lost in New York City on a hot day! Lastly, I should note that there’s a bakery area at the front of this restaurant. We bought some Belgian chocolate and chocolate granola clusters there to bring home. I’m a huge sucker for good interior design, hipster details, and attached bakeries, so overall I really loved this restaurant. I also liked how it had a very local and relaxed atmosphere, despite the huge intake of tourists that they probably get because of their location, and just the fact that this is New York City.

I stopped by Le Pain Quotidien on my way to Central Park. Best decision ever! The ‘European’ atmosphere made me decide to sit down and eat inside, instead of grabbing a bite and coffee to go. I would recommend you to go to Le Pain Quotidien if you are looking for a nice, casual place, to have a slightly upscale(because it is a little pricy) breakfast, brunch or lunch. As a European I’m quite picky when it comes to the quality and fresh taste of bread, sandwiches and pastries. But what they serve at Le Pain Quotidien is as good as it gets! I ordered the Quiche. Very yummy! So when you feel like skipping on hash browns, sausages, eggs etc, definitely stop by at Le Pain Quotidien instead to eat a ‘light’ European kind of meal(yoghurt, oats, juices, fruits, delicious tummy filling croissants, toasts and sandwiches etc).

I came here with my husband on a Saturday morning. Of course it was busy and the wait was a little longer than we hoped. However, it was worth the wait. Yes, the prices are a pretty high for what you get, but it is New York. We both had the belgian waffle-mine with jam, his with fruit-and it was exquisite! It melted in my mouth, the jam added a nice tart touch to the sweetness of the waffle with the cream. It was a perfect pair and a great way to break the fast for the day. The only downfall was that the portion is pretty small(about 6inches in diameter) I wish I could have had more than one waffle to enjoy. I was also served coffee with a little pot and a bowl to drink it from. The coffee was pretty yummy as well. We also got the impression that the staff expects, or rather, demands they be tipped. Which is quite understandable – when you are a server, you should be tipped! However, one waitress in particular yelled across the restaurant asking her customers as they left why she wasn’t tipped. She walked after them and asked again and tried making sure they gave her extra. To me, that wasn’t very well-mannered and we found it a little tacky. All in all, it’s safe to say my husband and I enjoyed the meal very much.

No matter which location I go to, I am always pleased with Le Pain Quotidien. When my parents and I visited New York, we ate breakfast and lunch here practically every day. I love the casual and cozy French theme of the restaurant. The food is always amazingly fresh, healthy, and hearty. For breakfast, I order the steel-cut oatmeal(plain) with a large cup of berries. It hits the spot every time! For lunch, I tend to get the vegetable quiche, which is so yummy with a warm filling and a flaky crust. My parents also love the lentil salad and the vegetable chili! I’d say you really can’t go wrong at LPQ!

Have returned to this location many times and just loved every morsel. Lots of tables. Always busy. The park is right across the street. Columbus Circle is nearby which means you can get just about anywhere from here. Coffee Deeelish. Pastries and fresh bread– to die. Salmon breakfast. Lovely soft boiled eggs. A Belgian waffle with a dollop of fresh cream and raspberry preserves. Decadently irresistible. And that’s just breakfast. I’m hungry just thinking about it.

Perfect breakfast spot before hitting Central Park! Shared the chia seed pudding, bowl of fruit, croissants with jam, and the vegan blueberry muffin. Pure carby goodness. Their fresh squeezed OJ hit the spot. I was jealous of the avocado toast the lady sitting next to me ordered. Would definitely go back again!

A lot of the menu items and people’s plates next to me looked great and I went with the turkey and avocado open sandwich which was good, except for the fact that the avocado was rock hard and totally not ripe enough to eat. That’s a major no-no when one of the three ingredients in your sandwich is inedible. For the portion size, I felt the sandwich was overpriced. Service was great, I had a sweet gal who checked in on me often. It was buzzing for lunch and looked like a really cute place. I will have to come back and try a few other items.

This is an adorable great find for lunch or to warm up with hot chocolate or coffee. The ambiance is really cute and a rare charming place in Manhattan. The hot chocolate also had a snowman made out of the foam which was a sweet touch! They have delicious vegetable chili, hummus, smoked salmon salad, and lentil salad. I would definitely recommend to check this place out!

This Le Pain Quotidien is by far my favorite! Depending on the time this place can get packed and is filled with tourists. However, during their downtime, it is pretty quiet and more relaxing. Regardless, staff are still attentive and friendly. Some of the items we always end up getting and that I recommend include: Grilled Chicken Cobb, Smoked Salmon Tartine and Quiche Lorraine. I’ve tried going to other LPQ, but this specific one had set a high expectation. I don’t think the other ones can compete.

Tee dann eher in sehr begrenzter Sortenvielfalt.

Ein kleines Stück Europa in New York.

Alle Sachen gibt es natürlich auch«to go».
