I just had the worst experience at this restaurant. The only good thing was the food, but the waitresses and management were extremely rude and unaccommodating. Our waitress started out by asking us to move, get out of the way, and didn’t take our drink order for over 5 minutes after we were seated. After this, she did not check on our food at all. Finally, my friend and I put both of our cards in the folder when she brought us the check. We were obviously splitting it. She then charged each card the full price of the check — and brought it back to the table as if nothing was wrong. I brought the error to her attention and she quickly made excuses for herself — «I didn’t see the other card.» When I asked her to correct the error her attitude changed and she was extremely rude and unaccommodating. I asked to speak with a manager and luckily he did his best to help, but after 20 minutes trying to solve the credit card issue my friend and I both checked our accounts and we BOTH had been charged the full price of our check. Ridiculously enough, management didn’t offer any assistance, much less apologize for their mistakes. It’s clear the staff is uneducated about customer service and does not have the means to deliver any at all. Don’t waste your time on this place unless you’re paying cash.

I love this chain — their food is delicious, seasonal and organic. I love that they are mindful about food quality and have a wide range of foods to choose from. I eat here almost every day, and sometimes twice! The Hudson location staff is always on point — attentive, swift, kind. A special shout out to Soledad, she’s always so considerate and on top of her game!

Johanna and Cristina were great. We are thankful for their smiles, energy and friendly service. My family and I enjoyed our experience here, it was a perfect spot on this sunny day. The Belgian hot chocolate with soy was decadent, iced lemonades fresh like home and the chai latte with almond milk was subtle. The tartines and cobb salad were phenomenal, so healthy tasting and delicious.

I have worked in this neighborhood for two years and regularly frequented a local mom and pop coffee shop almost every morning. When I found out they were charging me 75 cents every day for a pat of butter on my scone I decided to try this place. From the moment I walked in I felt welcome. The manager Yakosta(spelling??) was so warm and helpful and I’m now a regular at this place. The coffee is great and the jam scone is amazing. Too amazing. Service from randy and Marvin is also top notch. Love this place. Also love their app on which you earn free stuff. Thanks for taking such good care of me!

This location has not ramped up yet! There are sections where the waiter comes to you — the big round carousel table, onward. If you are sitting at a table between the entrance and the round table, it’s self-service. We were misinformed and were waiting for nothing. The waitress gave us the wrong bill. There is no alcohol on the menu(yet). I love Le Pain Quotidien, just please train your staff properly! Will come back in a few weeks when you all get your $h!t together ;) Food was great, by the way.

I feel sorry for the waiter, they had him serving the whole place all afternoon. I don’t know if someone called out sick, but they really need to get more help at this location. I had a quiche, Berry Tart and some coffee. All was typically fresh and tasted good. There is something about the coffee here compared to other locations. It just tastes better and doesn’t make you bloated. The eatery is big and seems to have a nice calibre of patrons. Also good location if you want to sit down with your laptop and work on stuff. No rush atmosphere as always. I was amazed by everyone’s patience level. Great location when it’s properly staffed.

I came to watch the show SMOKEFALL, so I walked in since it’s very close to the theater. The food is very nice, I had chicken & smoked Mozzarella. Great service, too!

Walked in to a staffer talking to herself quite loudly. Browsed the displays surrounding me in the corner space, but had a goal when entering — recently installed the(slow) LPQ app and redeemed the free tartine for the smoked salad option(normally $ 14.25). Smoked salmon and avocado were fine, but threw out all the bread.

Overall decent experience. I went here because I was trying to get some work done and wanted to get something to eat. I live in the area and I always pass by, and since there are a ton of Le Pain Quotidiens and this one’s always busy I figured it’d be a pretty solid choice. When I walked in there was no one there to seat me; the waiters were standing around in the back chatting and I had to ask them if I could get a seat. I ordered my meal– it was decent, nothing too memorable. After eating I did some work and a little later I decided to go up to the counter to get a pastry. My waitress came up and asked what I wanted while I was still looking at the selection, so I told her I would just wait and order in a minute after I decided. When I decided what I wanted, I asked the woman at the counter if I could just pay right there. She told me that I had to charge it to my bill. I said I just wanted to pay for it right there, like everyone else getting pastries to go. She said it had to be charged to my bill and asked what my table was. I could only describe where my table was and try to point to where it was, but it just seemed very inefficient. It seemed pointless to do it this way. Slim chance I will be coming back.

I love how fresh their greens and salmon are when I get them for Sunday brunch! Very friendly staff and the artisan aesthetic is quite alluring.

Love it here! Just discovered the awesomeness not long ago and step into the chill atmosphere of LPQ(as I lovingly refer to it) on my break. Everything is fresh and delicious and the prices are very reasonable! Eli has been my server both times. He’s great! It looks like he’s usually got run of the place between 4 – 6(when I go) but he’s still on his game. Cudos from one server to another! I’ll definitely be going more often for a healthy bite… and that mixed berry tart!

«Why go to Starbucks when this is right here», which is what i said when I was on Hudson street. I was allured by the very quaint look of this place walking buy one day. A little escape to France from NY but still here on Hudson street! I just love the artisan look and feel of this place. The huge communal table catches the eye too. Now regarding the treats: they make a great cup of coffee. So I went with the a huge cup of AuLait, which was rich and creamy, but not too creamy. I also had this eye catching, French Cream Donut — cream and powdered sugar beauty! This was one of those that looked far more delicious than it was. The cream was wonderful(omg…I can’t believe I said that… don’t tell my homies!), but the donut itself wasn’t the greatest vessel for all this creamy goodness. The donut was bland, and to «bread-ie». As for now, I will give Le Pain Quotidien 3 of 5 stars, but I will be back for their other treats and I think it will make me add some other stars… I hope so!

Delicious food and happy, friendly service in a communal atmosphere. Try the prosciutto, fig and pear tartine. The flavour is subtle but it’s delightful on a humid summer day.

Posting here because can’t find the location I went to on Unilocal.Server at 52 9th ave location dinner time on 6⁄26 was THE nicest. Helpful and replaced some food that dropped. And the food was good. Seated a rolling party that showed up at different times. Affordable, too!

Started with delicious coolers. Watermelon and summer green. Both refreshing. However, these took at least 10 minutes to arrive. Our sandwiches took even longer. They were just OK. My companion felt that the bread was stale. Then the bill came and I realized that for a light dinner I had spent $ 50. I had better experiences at other LPQ, so is this just this location?

This is my go-to spot in the neighborhood. Their menu keeps getting more organic. Milk is Organic Valley, certain meats, all eggs, and most breads are organic. My favorite menu items: chicken pot pie(comes in a flaky soufflé), chia pudding, smoked salmon tartine, Cobb salad, chocolate twist, waffle with jam and cream, the large variety of spreads. Hot chocolate is no good – not much chocolate. Sad. Very kid friendly: high chairs, foods that older babies can eat, changing table, and wait/kitchen staff who love kids. Weekend mornings are baby hour. The service is French – it will take you a while to get your check. This doesn’t bother me.

Last stop on a party of two’s failed food intake due to the heavy influx from three international events coincidence that we were shun out from nearby business: Pride Day(parade route runs directly on Hudson Street), 2014 World Cup, and Wimbledon 2014. At Le Pain Quotidien, finally, we were immediately seated but served after a twelve minute wait. Party of two’s lunch consists of: * Belgian Tartine: Paris Ham & Aged Gruyère(with cornichons and mustard trio) $ 11.75 * Croissant $ 3.85 * Minestrone soup $ 8.95 Food is okay but insufficient to eat my fill. Décor is very rustic and European café.
