Dr. Lewin is my primary doctor. I have been going there for 7 years. He is the best and very knowledgeable! He is so caring and lovable!
Highly recommended it! I wouldn’t trade him for no other doctor in the world!

Dr Neal Lewin is an excellent Doctor I have been his patient for many years, one of the many qualities I like best about him he is not an alarmist he doesn’t hand out prescriptions like candy. He is very easy to talk with and he never once rushed me out of his office not even after my 100 questions on ebola lol. If you want a knowledgable caring Doctor. make an appt.

I’ve been Dr. Lewin’s patient for over 25 years and I’d never go anywhere else. Yes, he can be brusk sometimes, and he has a very dry sense of humor (very dry). And Lord help you if you are even 2 minutes late. But that’s all fine. He sees you on your appointment time or within 5 – 10 minutes (with an apology!). But I trust him with my life, literally. He is very smart, very opinionated (which I like), and he has never been wrong. He can be a bit intimidating because as you are explaining something, he is already two steps ahead of you! He has referred my wife and I to various specialists over the years, who have also been top-​notch. I will be very upset when Dr. Lewin decides to retire.

Dr. Lewin is the _​best_​primary care physician I’ve ever had. He’s thorough, very knowledgable, and not quick to force a possibly needless bunch of prescriptions on you.
It’s worth noting that I’ve been a patient of Dr. Lewin’s for almost 8 years and he’s never once been late to see me. That said, his policies about showing up late or canceling at the last minute are very clear and very strictly enforced. If you’re the kind of person who can’t be 5 minutes early for appointments, you best look somewhere else.

I’ve gone through a number of issues with a former primary care physician and I have to say that Dr. Lewin is incredibly superior. His staff is smart, quick, funny, and they remember who you are every time you walk in. They are tough on appointments, but it’s worth it to wait at the most 15 minutes, if at all. I used to have to sit for about and hour and a half to two hours even when I had an appointment and then see a physician’s assistant who could barely keep track of my care and passed me off. Dr. Lewin is always prompt, on time, on point and is very thorough («Please see him, Jeffery. He’s a good man. And thorough.»). He will challenge you on your assumptions and your printed internet research. He listens, but he’s firm with his care, and you end up the better for it. Someone described him here as old school, I think he’s an expert that’s aware of medical care’s unfortunately declining quality — and he is focused on quality. There’s nothing old school about that.

Dr. Lewin is extremely smart. I am happy with the care he provides. Also, his office is very organized and i usually never have to wait. Just make sure you get there on time as they do not like people being late.

I found his name in the NY Magazine Best Doctors in New York 2008 or 2009 issue. At first I didn’t think much of him and thought him old-​fashioned. Wouldn’t prescribe my usual meds, said he’d never heard of them and didn’t understand why any of my other doctors were prescribing them. I thought all right, he’s against medication, the usual battery of sleeping, anxiolytics, feel-​good remedies. Fine. A) they’re not too good for your liver and B) I can get them somewhere else if I really want to. I left it as that. I thought the staff was nice enough though, personable and warm. Him, not so much. At first. Then time passed, I saw him on a couple more occasions and noticed his attitude was different. Much more caring, better listener, eager to help you feel your best whatever it took. Referrals, recommendations, health tips… Which lead me to believe that he was just the kind of person who needed to warm up to people. Fair enough. He is a really bright and intelligent man, a no-​nonsense practitioner who doesn’t let BS stand in the way. He’s efficient and fast. A bit too fast sometimes… it’s possible you may feel rushed even. As I said the staff is really nice, one person in particular can be moody though and it can be a tad chaotic at the tiny front desk if you happen to walk in when all 3 ladies are crammed behind the tiny desk. Overall, chatty happy people. A word of advice: don’t even think of arriving late! They will all turn against you and you might find Dr. Lewin much aggravated and not so interested in your alarmingly visible signs of jaundice!
