Best pizza on the UES. The buffalo chicken slice is MOTHEROFGOD good. Wish they were on Seamless.

Random notes: It’s got more tables than the hole-in-the wall places, so it’s a good pick if you don’t necessarily want takeout. They’ve got a good variety of speciality slices, which I don’t think are listed on the takeout menu. They guys who work there are generally grumpy.(The guys at Roma’s pizza, which is my go-to spot, are pretty cheery.) They’re open until 10pm on weekdays, but will sometimes stay open later if it’s busy.

The pizza is mediocre and more importantly the staff is inappropriate. Warning to women, members of the staff have harassed women.

This is a basic pizzeria not a restaurant but the quality of the food is solid here and the prices very reasonable. They offer delivery and have plenty of space to eat in as well. From pizza dishes to pasta dishes I have never had a complain here.

The pizza here is not very good. I tried a slice of cheese and a slice of Sicilian pepperoni pizza. The slice of cheese did not taste very good. It was not fresh and was too greasy. I moved on to try the Sicilian pepperoni slice and it was a little better but again, the ingredients was not fresh. I would not recommend eating pizza here unless you absolutely have to. Papa Johns is much better if you want to compare. Plenty of better pizza places to eat at on the upper East Side but avoid this place.

Great food and great value; we always order the penne ala vodka. The owner always greets us while we are there.

I’ve been coming here for 10 years, love the flavorful grandma slice and whole wheat slice. So delicious. These are my go to’s and never disappoint. Curt service at the counter but haven’t experienced the rudeness others talk about. Perhaps it’s because I always order there and not over the phone… It’s the best pizza spot in the neighborhood. Wish they stayed open a bit later though.

when I come here there is only 1 thing I always get and that is the whole wheat grandma slice. This spot is the best option for whole wheat pizza in the city and my favorite pizza shop in the upper east side.

This place is pretty mediocre as far as pizza places go in New York City. I picked this place because I was passing by and had a craving for pizza. I kind of regretted having that craving. Or perhaps I should have just found a different place to go. The service wasn’t all the great either.

After being turned off to this place 6 months ago by the mediocre pizza and lousy attitude I gave it another shot this week. What a mistake! I got my slice and went to sit down at a table and there was a huge cockroach crawling on the table which was dirty to begin with. I should have taken a picture. The Board of Health needs to get up here and set things straight, disgusting.

So, the 2 stars is not for the food, which I still like very much, but the utter rudeness in this place. I’m a regular and love getting delivery from them, but the unfriendliness over the phone and even more so in person is unpleasant and unnecessary. The place was not busy at all, so the excuse of being stressed and overwhelmed couldn’t have been it and there was no reason to treat a customer so disrespectful, impatient and as if it’s a burden for them to prepare my food, which I’m paying for! Sorry, but that’s unacceptable.

Good solid pizza, rolls, and pasta. Better than Gotham which is a block away. My kids love the place and the portions are good for the price. I think it’s better than some of the«proper» Italian restaurants. Good customer traffic, very prompt service, good food, and good prices No complaints. They have good Italian ice during the summer too. Not sure why, but I’m finding it difficult to get Italian ice more and more in the city? Not many pizzerias have them.

Food is good but the cleanliness worries me. The baked ziti is tasty but definitely not the best. The salads are fresh however the orders in salads often get jumbled so if one requests no peppers, invariably peppers arrive in abundance. Delivery time is good but I am giving three stars because this place should have an ‘A’ rating…

The pizza is average but overpriced & the counter service is atrocious. The staff is not friendly and often rude & make you feel like you are a bother. The last time i ordered(and ever will order) delivery from here it took over an hour and when I called they blamed me. They need to greatly improve their employee’s customer service skills. Customers are not cattle, treat people with respect.

I was torn on how to rate Luigi’s. The pizza was actually one of the best slices I’ve had. The tomato sauce had the right blend of tangy sweetness and spices, the perfect ratio of cheese to sauce and the crust crackled as I bit into it. Unfortunately, I noticed that the very nice man servicing me had dirty grungy fingernails. Eeck. I wouldn’t eat near the top crusty edge but still I couldn’t help but think, dude, are you kneading my pizza dough? I I have to say, that definitely quelled the feeling of serendipity that had started to rise, along with my appetite. So unfortunately, pizza gets a 4 – 5 star and hygiene a 1 star. A repeat, unfortunately, is not in order.

Food was good, however the service was horrible! I got so much attitude for no reason. I literally just ordered and the guy was so rude and he clearly looked like he didn’t want to be there. Going forward i will take my business somewhere else especially because there is a pizza place on every corner.

Good pizza, but: — they don’t do online ordering — the guy up front can get a little flustered during the dinner rush

I went for the lunch special, two slices and a drink for $ 5.25. The slices were huge and so delicious and I immediately had a smile on my face because I knew I was in for lots of yummy flavor with a great crust. I also like how the guy that takes your order always yells at me, then he smiles. Between the clean seating area, the delicious pizza and the charm of the staff, this is my favorite pizza place in Yorkville.
