Manhattan Dental Spa

I have been coming here for three years now and I love this place. My hygienist, Yokanna, is always so upbeat, that she makes the experience better. Also, she gets me in and out, which is always appreciated! Dr. Charnas is great and very nice as well. I would recommend this office to anyone.

THE WORST DENTIST VISIT IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. If you want someone to curse you out in the visit and deal with god awful employees, this is the place for you. Never in my life have I met a staff nastier than the front desk staff at Manhattan Dental. The front desk woman had no problem dropping an «F-​bomb» to my face. Also, the practice is very dated and old… but the hygienist is the only nice person who works there. Bottom line — don’t waste your time or your money.

Dr. Vargas goes above and beyond your expectations. He’s extremely knowledgeable, polite and an artist for lack of a better word. He has transformed my mouth in no time at all.

I have a great appreciation for Manhattan Dental Spa. I was previously a patient of Dr. Greer’s (now retired) and I went here for many years until my insurance changed. However, I still came back and paid out of pocket to have my cleaning done by Natasha. She is truly the best! She is very gentle, caring, and experienced, and has the ability to spot potential problems before they happen. I can say this from experience.
I just came back for a cleaning with Natasha yesterday after a 5-​year hiatus. She did an exceptional job, as always, and I was very pleased to see so many of the same faces again. To me this says a lot about the quality of a place — if the employees choose to stay 10+ years.
Anyway, I still don’t have good dental insurance, but I scheduled another appointment to get my teeth cleaned by Natasha 6 months from now, and I’m already looking forward to it. Thanks for being so awesome, Natasha, and thanks to the wonderful staff at Manhattan Dental Spa.

When you need Invisalign, this is the place you should looking for, if you live around New York.

I have been coming here for at least 8 years and have always had a positive experience. They are knowledgeable and have given me good advice over the years. The only thing that I would say is that sometimes they do try to «sell» new products that you probably don’t 100% need so just be aware of that. The prices are also higher than you would get from a suburban office.
I really love that you get to watch tv while you get your teeth cleaned which is great and there are also great views from certain chairs out onto Manhattan. I would definitely recommend this dentist!

If you are fortunate to be a patient of Dr. Charnas and Natasha count your lucky stars. I am an anxious dental patient due to issues with the numbing agents not working and poor dental care as a child. Dr. Charnas was endlessly patient, kind, and considerate. In addition, the front office staff is terrifically professional. Very short waits, easy to understand, and also patient. I moved out of NYC after having been a patient for over twenty years. And even though I needed braces from the first dental visit, we waited until technology exceeded my anxiety. over 15 years– that is real patience. The Invisalign really worked.

Dr. Vargas is awesome — he’s super knowledgable and explains everything to make sure you understand what’s going on inside of your mouth. He also designed a cool nightguard for me to prevent me from grinding at night. His staff is super helpful and I never have to wait long.

This place is great! The people are always friendly and professional. The service is great! I have been going here for years (since 2007 I think) and I have always had great service.

I went in not expecting too much, despite the great reviews for this place. I’d booked a teeth cleaning through Gilt City and was pleased with the price, as I don’t have dental insurance. What I got was amazing. Rosana was my technician, and cleaned my teeth beyond what I thought was possible. I had some serious staining on my front bottom teeth I didn’t think was possible to remove, but she did! She gave me solid guidance on how to maintain my teeth (electric brush, tongue scraper, floss daily, mouth guard, types of tooth paste to use), and was incredibly pleasant. Dr. Charnas was also charming and kind, and I will definitely go back. They have a plan for people without insurance that is pretty reasonable, and their level of professionalism is second to none. Thank you!

This is top-​of-​the-​line, first rate dental care. No question about it.
Years ago I arrived with a complex case that required substantial effort to address. They got it done and they did it right. Since that time they’ve stayed on top of everything. (By «they» I refer to Dr. Charnas, Dr. Margolis (surgeon) and Yokanna (hygienist)). Usually I don’t need more than a routine cleaning /​x-​rays, but if I do, they’re on it. If I call up with a problem they get me on the schedule quickly and they get it fixed.
MDS is not inexpensive but if you require high-​end dental care, you will not be disappointed.

I have been going to MDS the past year and will not leave. I have definitely found a home for my dental needs. Yokanna, one of the hygienists is fantastic. Not only is she great at what she does, but is so pleasant to be around.
Recently, I had some dental work done and was a bit nervous. Dr. Charnas was so terrific. He took a lot of time and was very understanding and kind towards me. Dr. Vargas, is also great and has a wonderful bedside manner as well. You don’t always get a good doc combined with a caring one. Here, you do.
Also, I must say that the front desk staff, starting with Diny, are so professional and create a nice atmosphere as a first impression. It starts there and ends with Al in billing, who is equally knowledgeable and very nice. Why go anywhere else?

I’ve been going to MDS for over 10 years. I find them to be very modern talented dentists. Massage chairs in the waiting room!

These guys are great. Dr. Charnas just gave me two small fillings and was skilled enough to not use any novocaine. The whole experience took about 30 mins and I don’t even feel like anything happened.
Every time I come in my appts are quick, on schedule, and everybody’s polite and in a good mood.
I’ve had a lot of bad dentistry in my life, so the contrast is great. Don’t plan on switching dentists as long as Dr. Charnas is still working.

I absolutely hate dental cleaning. I get all sorts of anxiety but I’ve had 2 very awesome experiences at Manhattan Dental Spa. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone
