Mendes Donna MD

I think that Dr. Mendes is one of the top vein specialist in NYC. I was referred to her by one of the top surgeons in NYC and I am extremely pleased that I found her.
I had some veins on one leg that were very unsightly. She told me that she could definitely fix my problem. She ran some tests on both legs in two short visit the ugly veins were gone and the swelling I use to experience on both ankles were resolved .
Her office staff at 10 W. 66 Street, NY, NY are very professional and you just know by the way they treat you, that you are good hands.
I would definitely recommend Dr. Mendes to any of my friends and family in a heart beat!

Worst Doctor experience of all time. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR. I had a problem where my entire arm turned blue. A month later, my vein grew to the size of a walnut and I was in pain. I made an appointment with a doctor in my network. Big mistake, next time I will do more research and get a reference. I arrived to the disgusting offices that were completely out of my way to have 5 minutes with this completely incompetent doctor. The incompetence grew with the experience. Instead of doing an ultra sound of my vein after seeing a bruise that was the result of the swelling and an «aneurysm» exploding under the skin. Instead, she has her even more incompetent assistant schedule an MRI fro my entire arm. I had to push to have this done because when you hear that an «aneurysm in your arm exploded» you get concerned. I arrived at the MRI, also in a disgustingly dirty office to find out that this «doctor» wrote the wrong prescription. I sat there for an hour and a half while they tried to track down the doctor. Finally they did an MRI of my wrist. Which of course proved nothing as I didn’t break my arm. She should have ordered an MRA so they could actually see my veins. How does a Vascular Surgeon not know this? She then refers me to a Hematologist claiming my clotting factors needed to be checked even though she never checked my vein with an ultrasound and an MRA. The Hematologist brushed me off until I finally got angry at the entire incompetence of the entire organization and the absolute unnecessary waste of my time. He then picked up the phone to call Dr. Mendes and tell her she was wrong and I had the pleasure of sitting there watching these morons fight over who was dumber. Then today, a month later, they have the audacity to send me a bill for $ 350. $ 350 for that? Are you kidding me. This woman should have her license revoked and she should send me a check for $ 350. The idiots never put through the insurance and I had to call their billing office to resolve their own billing inefficiencies. NEVER GO TO THIS DOCTOR NOR THIS HOSPITAL GROUP, THEY ARE COLLECTIVELY INCOMPETENT!
