History

Established in 1972.

Antonio and Leonor Bonilla Opened Mexico Lindo In May of 1972.

Through Leonor’s Mexican heritage and Antonio’s Puerto Rican roots,

an authentic Mexican menu with Caribbean influence was born.

With a passion for food, spirits and Mexican comfort food… daughter Claudia now runs the business. As a child with her family, summer long stays in Mexico and winter visits to Puerto Rico, proved to be the inspiration behind Claudia’s love of authentic home cooked meals using local seasonal ingredients.

One of our most popular and in demand, year after year, are the Handmade Corn Masa Quesadilla w Squash Blossom and Oaxaca Cheese. We ONLY use Paulette’s squash blossoms from North Fork’s Satur Farms. And we are extremely proud of this.

Claudia fell into the business by accident. It turns out, it was the most amazing thing to happen to her. For the past 20 years now, she has been picking her parents brains and learning on the job. She cannot imagine doing anything else. And knowing she is continuing her parents dream; makes it all the more worthwhile.
