is a ripoff. Blackouts, unfinished games, drops from casting devices (others don’t), no personal contact or replies to complaints. No bueno! I’ll figure out another way to watch the Giants! Sore disappointment.

I have been an MLB fan since I was 11 in 1970. In the past two years, I have subscribed to MLB. TV Premium and was NOT happy at all. First of all there are too many black outs. It is ridiculous. I have not been able to watch a game with my team on it at all. The cost was $ 129.99. It is NOT worth this price at all. What a ripoff! It might be worth $ 19.99 if they could provide good service. You can’t even get a partial refund for cancelling halfway through the year. I will NEVER subscribe again. I hope none of you have to put up with this and get suckered into their scam.

Since ordering tickets for the Boston Red Sox, I have received «
Insider» emails several times a week. I have attempted on numerous occasions to Unsubsribe using the link at the bottom of these emails. To no avail. When I called the
customer service phone number, I was told that I am not in their data base, and that maybe it’s the Red Sox’ «fault.» I was given a Red Sox number to call. But since the emails come from
, it’s ultimately their responsibility.

Major League Baseball — my first love of sports — ever since 1962 when the SF Giants were playing against the NY Yankees in the WS Championship games. I was in fifth grade then (yep, I’m showing my age… lol).
This week is the fourth week of baseball season 2013 and the month is not over yet. The two local newspapers (Oakland Tribune and SF Chronicle) that I have do not mention anything about the ballots being out for the All-​Star Game (the mid-​summer classic).
About 9:00 AM (today) I received an email from
to start voting early and often of ball players deserving to be in the All Star Game 2013. Last day to vote is July 4. The All Star game is NOT until July 16.
C’mon now, the month is not over and as a fan, this announcement is a bit early. (I guess y’all at MLB Advanced Media LLP just couldn’t wait until next week, May 1, to do so. It seems as if y’all jumpin’ the gun, and man oh man, I don’t need this reminder right now. Wassup with the rush?) I don’t know about anybody else, but I need «just a little mo time» to focus in on which players besides the pitchers who are performing well on the field and at the plate. Another thing, since I am a procrastinator at times, I don’t believe in a mad rush to start my voting this early, not knowing whether or not that big-​time slugger is going to sustain an injury and/​or get placed on the DL. (Hey, sh*t happens and one never knows.)
Well, I can’t vote for any of the pitchers. That’s up to Bochi and Leyland to decide. However, for pitchers and wanting local representation on the All Star Team 2013, I would have to go with Bumgarner, Zito (SF Giants) and Griffin, Milone (Oakland A’s). Just a thought… throw in Justin Verlander (Tigers) even though he’s not on the Giants or the A’s team.

Like many people, I really, really, REALLY enjoy baseball. I enjoy listening to and watching broadcasts of baseball games, driving while listening to baseball, exercising while listening to baseball, falling asleep while listening to baseball, attending live baseball games, listening to and watching people talk about baseball games past and future, talking with other people about baseball, reading about baseball history, reading about baseball news, thinking about baseball, playing fantasy league baseball, checking out different baseball fields/​stadiums, critiquing baseball uniforms and mascots, checking out different broadcasters on radio and TV around the country, keeping score of baseball games, eating baseball-​related food, drinking baseball-​related drinks, meeting baseball players, and playing baseball myself. I also enjoy baseball at different skill levels, ranging from Major League baseball down to my pathetic attempts at playing it. One of the 3 happiest moments of my entire life was sitting in the upper deck on the 3^rd base line at Comiskey Park with my sister to witness Game 1 of the 2005 World Series (White Sox 5, Astros 3).
So, I have a lot of good feelings toward the game of baseball in general, and Major League Baseball in particular. Even so, the MLB. TV customer experience has been so incredibly awful over the past several years that it makes me hate the League and hate that I care about it. Just see the MLB. TV Support Forum, where you can read the enormous number and variety of problems people have with this expensive product every single year, and the unbelievably useless, insultingly inane responses to customers by the Forum Moderators – every single year. To deal with MLB. TV may be some kind of wisdom riddle, in which your desire to possess the thing is proportionate to the difficulty of possessing it, and so the only way to be satisfied is to be satisfied with your dissatisfaction. I can think of no analogously unsatisfying consumer experience in my more than 25 years as a buyer of any service or product anywhere in the US or abroad. While other companies roll out and update beautifully functional, consistent, and inexpensive online media experiences (e.g., Netflix, Hulu), MLB. TV wallows, for years now, at a level of quality just better than useless and just worse than pathetically embarrassing.
