MTA- 34th Street Hudson Yards Subway Station “7”

Utterly gorgeous so much that it doesn’t even feel like a NYC subway station. Everything is spanking new with an architecture whose only signs of normal MTA stations are the stamped steel stair steps & wall tile arrangement & turnstiles. Everything else is so chic as if it were a station from Asia. Signage is generous. Busses are clearly labelled. The elevator’s a cool funicar not a normal up-​down one. The long 260-​ft long escalator’s not scary despite the sheer length/​height thanks to generous lighting. Cleansiness is tip-​top thanks to a constant team of 12+ cleaners (amazing, I know) who clean both the cars at this terminus as well as the station itself. Perfection at last.

The Newest Subway Station on the # (7) Subway Line which makes it the 469^th subway stop in the NYC subway system with connections to the M34 Select Bus Service & M12 Bus. Like every new station in NYC, there’s new platforms, stairs, escalators, elevators and new artwork. The station is close by the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center which is a block away which is very convenient for people traveling vice versa. Like every new station, there’s something that makes it stand out and in this case for this station it’s the incline elevators. The station is more than 10 stories deep which in other words 108 feet (33m) below street level making it NYC’s 3^rd deepest subway station compared to the 191 St on the # (1) line which is the #1 deepest in the Subway system and the 190^th St on the (A) line which comes in 2^nd.
