I’ve been to these guys a few times as I think it’ worth trying somewhere more than once to get a feel. The staff are friendly enough. The prices are competitive — less than $ 5 for a shirt dry clean and $ 2.25 for a wash and press. On two of my trips though, a couple of my shirts have been stapled along with the tag that they put on them. When I told the guy about it he basically ignored me. When I had told him three times he just said «OK, OK, I’ll do my best». Saving a bit on the clean isn’t worth getting all my shirts stapled. I won’t be going again.

Pros: Price is low… I think it’s slightly below average, but it’s not that low. ** Location is convenient for people who live near 51^st and 9^th.
Cons: Same-​day service isn’t entirely reliable… they say everything will be done by 5:00, and I’ve used them twice now for same-​day service, and both times they weren’t done at 5:00, which messed up my plans for both days. ** They ruined two sets of bed sheets at two different times I’ve used this service. ** They lost a sock. ** Not open on Sundays… um really? If you’re a laundry service, how can you not be open on Sundays??? ** Hours are pretty bad — they close at 7:00pm on weekdays! ** My favorite pair of jeans were also ruined here… I was quite upset about that. ** Just also wanted to say that they don’t fold socks. I personally don’t mind that, but I figured maybe somebody else would.
Other notes: Ten-​pound minimum. If you have less than ten pounds of laundry, they’ll charge you for ten anyway. Credit cards accepted only if the charge is $ 20+, otherwise cash-​only.
Bottom line: I think they made a mistake every single time I tried them out, in 3 – 4 tries. Despite the convenience, I’m never going back again. They’ve ruined far too much laundry and are too inconvenient with their hours. I’d rather get quarters and walk a few more blocks to do my own laundry.

Friendly staff, great turn-​around time, and pant alterations for $ 10! There’s a million different cleaners in NY but I really like going to this place. Look for the neon lighted sign as you walk down the south side of 51^st street.
