Don’t order from here !!! I’ve ordered from so many sushi places in the city and because it had 4 stars I figured why not? Worst mistake of my life. Placed my order at 12:30 and my food showed up 2 hours later !! The lady at the restaurant kept lying about the delivery man being 2 minutes away. After all of that the food isn’t even all that great. Never ever ever again. This should be rested the Worst sushi place in Manhattan ! 15 $ down the drain

I’m exploring my lunch options since my favorite place seems to have a differ t cook. I ordered 2 roll lunch special for take out. There was a bit of wait for my food. Miso was good, avocado& salmon roll was good, the tempura yuka roll tastes like sweet potato … Maybe they were confused. Overall good value for the price– I would definitely order some other roll. I am not sure if I would order take out or delivery but I would consider going there for food if I had time.

Absolutely awful. I have been sitting here for 1 hr 45 mins now waiting for food when their website and seamless both say approximately 25 – 40 min wait. I tried calling the restaurant for around 25 mins and it just rang through without any pickup. Was about to head out and walk to the restaurant to find out what was going on when they finally picked up but had no idea what to tell me except they were sorry. Could not even tell me when the food would get here. The person at the restaurant sounded comically incompetent.

Nobi sushi is one of my go-to brunch spots when I’ve got a hankering for sushi. I have no complaints in regards to the food, service or restaurant and will definitely be dropping by many more times in the future. The bento boxes are a good deal at lunchtime, and the noodle soups are HUGE. The sushi is of pretty good quality and the rolls that I’ve ordered before taste delicious. Nobi has pretty good lunch deals for sushi as well The service is always great, and the hostess/service staff are super accommodating and welcoming. The restaurant is always clean and is pleasant to eat lunch in.

I order from here all of the time and have had good experiences. The worst decision I made was choosing to dine here in person. First, our waitress was rude the entire night. She seemed annoyed at our existence on the planet earth. Also, the entire restaurant smelled like someone had been smoking cigarettes inside. They also had a giant garbage pail on wheels that they kept wheeling around while people were eating. Finally, we saw windex being sprayed all over clean plates and soy bottles. The lesson here is if you find a local sushi place that you like to order from, do NOT go an see it in person.

Order their Deluxe entrée through seamless, both of our employees had bad diarrhea. Two of them are racing to the toilet. This was the only food we had. I really don’t want to give bad reviews, since I like their rice, but their food quality need to get improved. Anyway, happy holidays to everyone

Do NOT order from here if you’re hungry and want your food to actually arrive. Ordered via seamless. Over TWO hours later, and the food never arrived. When I called I was informed that they were«very busy, too busy to deliver!!!»…wait, what!?? Whaaaaaaat??? Why are you on seamless then???

I don’t know how it can take you over an hour to deliver sushi when the destination is a few blocks away, but Nobi manages to do that. There are better tasting and faster sushi delivery places out there. Don’t waste your time or money here.

Loved this place. Was wandering around nearby with my girlfriend in search of a relatively nice sit-down sushi place when we found Nobu. The customer service we got was awesome. We were welcomed immediately by a waitress who led us in and brought us hand wipes while we looked over the menu. My girlfriend then wasnt too sure which wine she’d like and after the waitress recommended us one, the waitress even brought over a small sample of it so they we might try a sip before going with it. Customer service: A+ The food was awesome– the tempura appetizer was deliciously crispy and the amount was generous. The Sashimi Dinner was thick cut and fresh. And at the end we were even brought little complimentary cut up oranges to end the meal which was a nice touch. A+ all around.

Without a doubt, the rudest restaurant experience I have ever had. I ordered delivery and was told it would be about 30min. When I was still waiting after 60mins they were super rude and unapologetic and told me I should have ordered pick up because they were too busy to accommodate my order. After 90mins when I called, I was hung up on. When I called back I told them to cancel my order and credit my card back. Obviously they haven’t credited me back — and I never got my order. I had to have my credit card company halt the charge. There are wayy to many mediocre sushi places to continue to give them business. So rude.

I order in from Nobi at least once a week. This is my go to sushi spot in my neighborhood. I tried a bunch of sushi restaurants in the area until finding Nobi. I do usually order in and it usually takes about 40 minutes, which isn’t too bad. I have gone to eat and Nobi as well and it’s also a very nice place to have dinner. It’s reasonably priced and the sushi is excellent. My go to is always the Nobi special roll, which is shrimp tempura and topped with spicy tuna. I also happen to love the Kani Salad. If you live or are in the Kips Bay/Murray hill area I would suggest trying out Nobi!

Consistently great sushi! I can only review their lunch delivery and dinner take out but just that is enough for me to tell you that you will have consistently great sushi! Fresh, delicious, and super fast delivery lunch service which is extremely hard to come by in Manhattan whenever my coworkers and I are craving sushi Nobi is our spot. I haven’t dined at Nobi but hope to soon. Highly recommend shrimp tempura roll, yellowtail, avocado salad, salmon or tuna avocado roll yummmerssssss

Worst sushi I’ve had in NYC yet. First off, I live less than 1 block from this place and it took them an hour to deliver. When I finally received my sushi, ¼ of the rolls were destroyed… tough luck if you live more than 300 feet away from the restaurant. On top of them managing to destroy the rolls, the sushi itself was terrible. The fish didn’t taste fresh, there was barely any rice, and even the soy sauce was gross. Probably better off catching some fish in the East River and making your own sushi.

This place is a disgrace to sushi delivery. I make the seamless order at 7:42, an hour goes by so I call the place and the lady says the guy is coming. Okay thats all I needed to hear, another 20 min goes by, I call back, I get an explanation of «there are lots of orders but your food is coming». ANOTHER20 min goes by and I call them again and she triple checks my address, then acts confused, THEN says Okay i’ll call your delivery person, and says in a voice full of attitude: okayyyyyyy he is coming. Dear god I am now famished and enraged and all I hope is for hurricane Joaquin to tear this place a new one. This place is also quite close to me, there are no excuses, only lies. …Okay just got off the phone again, 2 hours later, I call them to cancel my order and she immediately and nonchalantly says«okay». I then proceeded to get a very delicious pizza from Patrizia located conveniently in Kips Bay :) #lordhavemercyonmytummy

I came here for dinner on a Saturday night and the sushi rolls were good and reasonably priced! There’s nothing that’s really exceptional or different about this place, but it’s a very pleasant experience and overall pretty chill. The ambiance is casual and not super nice or fancy or anything, but I’d come here again for a low key dinner.

Nobi’s portions aren’t as generous as Maguro’s but the portions are pretty darn fresh — fresher than Maguro. I had their three-roll combo, with tuna, yellowtail, and a California roll. I enjoyed eating every bite of it. The ambience is fairly comfortable, so I can see this place being an alternative to getting takeout if you wanna get out of the house a little.

This is my go-to Japanese restaurant in Kips Bay. At first I was put off by the dim lighting(what are you hiding?!) but now I trust them to not give me food poisoning. Their dine-in portions are approximately the same size as their takeout. The lunch specials, especially the bento options, are a good value! And FYI, their udon bowls are huuuuge.

The definition of value. They don’t come close to the best sushi places in NY. That’s fine as they’re obviously not trying to based on their prices though I think some sushi purists can be surprisingly appeased. There’s a lot of great sushi and a lot more bad sushi. It can actually be difficult to find satisfactory rolls on a budget.

Not a place you’ll go out of your way to eat but if you’re just say waiting to watch a movie at Kips, Nobi is the perfect place for sushi. Charashi bowl was more like a plate with a scoop of rice on the side. The fish was incredibly fresh. It’s quiet unlike other places near the 30’s on 2nd Ave where people are yapping loud all the time.

Real Time Lunch Review time… and I’m already impressed that they have such a wide delivery area(they’re 24 blocks and a good 5 – 6 aves away from my office!). Ordered up Perfect Match Roll(Lobster salad and asparagus inside with shrimp, eel, spicy tuna, red tobiko and avocado on top, served with spicy mayo and eel sauce), 2009 Roll(black pepper tuna, avocado, spicy tuna, spicy mayo), and Loving Roll(fresh lobster, mango, spicy tuna). Confirmed at 1:35pm for delivery by 2:15pm. Arrived closer to 2:30pm, which ain’t bad for that distance! Nice, friendly delivery guy, palate-cleansing oranges in the bag, and the soy sauce in its own ziplock bag! All sushi was in one big olé container. Quite the beautiful delivery presentation! Perfect Match was true to its name!!! Damned fine roll! 2009 Roll took me back… in a VERY good way! That black pepper tuna was fresh and taste-tastic! And I was most DEFLOVING that Loving Roll! You can see the fresh lobster, and the mango balances perfectly. INMYFACE! I will be ordering from here again!!!
