Very good chicken. The only one«hood» delicious type chicken anywhere near this area with a few places to sit. Ridiculously overpriced — only reason it does not get 5 stars.

Honestly their spicy chicken sandwich was amazing. I’m craving it again at the moment! The hot wings were great as well. It’s a small hole in the wall type of restaurant. It has limited seating and the wait was a bit long. Though it was worth it. I want to try the popcorn chicken next time!

This place just cranks out the fried food. Forget about taste and don’t even think about eating healthy. If you like greasy fried food, with little to no flavor, then this is the place for you. It is relatively priced or affordable by NYC standards at least.

Great food. Great service. Great workers. I’ve never ate at a place where the food is tasty and at an affordable price. 10 thumbs up.

A place with«everything». I ordered a Snack Box which has 2 pieces of fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and a biscuit. The fried chicken tasted ok at first but as I continued eating I could only think about how salty it was. The biscuit has the shape of a biscuit but is white bread. The small mashed potato had some really salty gravy. I know this is a low-budget dive, but there are better places nearby.

I’m going to echo one of the reviewers here — this place has some damn good sweet potato pie! O. M. G. Who knew that among a sea of fried chicken, there hides a gem called the«homemade sweet potato(individual-sized) pie» for $ 2.50?! Every bite was scrumptious.

I had a sudden craving for fried chicken and being stuck in the city on a Buisiness appointment I didint think I could find a place but then I walked by this place. I have to say the chicken was amazing fried to perfection just the right amount of flavor so crispy and juicy. Great service that’s going to be my chicken place when in the city!

Sometimes, you just want a quick and dirty meal. The greasier the better, and of course the spot itself has to be as grimy as a dumpster. For those times, there is NYC Fried Chicken. NYC Fried Chicken reminds me of Crown Fried Chicken(my absolute favorite), but 10x more ghetto. It doesn’t have that same feel to it, but for those days where you just don’t care what you eat, NYC Fried Chicken is there to save you. Food-wise, they have a variety of things. From fried fish, to popcorn chicken, to friend chicken, and even pizza, there’s just a lot of stuff going on. If you’ve made the conscious decision that you’re going to destroy your stomach here, then I suggest to bite the bullet and just get some fried chicken. For $ 8, you can get 3 pieces of chicken, a side of french fries, and a soda. Price-wise, that’s roughly comparable to what you’d spend getting a combo meal at KFC or Popeyes. Luckily, the chicken here is actually pretty decent. The meat itself is juicy, and there’s just the right amount of crisp to the skin. The seasoning could be a little better, but then again, you’re getting food from a place called NYC Fried Chicken. As far as the place itself, yes it’s pretty dirty. Even so, there are about 5 – 7 bar stools where you can sit down and eat your greasy mess. The guys working here are pretty nice as well, and depending on what you order, it is fried to order. NYC Fried Chicken won’t blow your mind by any means. There are tons of places where you can get better fried chicken. However, that’s not to say that this place doesn’t serve up some decent food. It’s greasy, dirty, but at the same time, somewhat satisfying. For those once in a while moments, I can make an exception and stop by here, but if you’re coming here on the regular, then I’d rethink your game plan.

Best sweet potato pie I’ve ever had! And about half the cost of pie face or any other store in the area. Friendly service too. I had a hamburger nuggets and a pie –for less than 10.

This is one of those fried chicken places like Kennedy Fried Chicken or Crown Fried Chicken. I’m not a big fan of the chicken from these places, but I tend to like their hamburgers every once in a while. NYC Fried Chicken’s hamburger is on par as the other brands. Greasy and juicy. Fried Chicken joints are normally good for a cheap meal, but they recently raised their prices, so I’m not sure if they’re worth it.

Made to order wings. Crispy and well seasoned. It’s a hole in the wall so what do you expect. $ 1/pizza slice. Haven’t had it. Good place to grab an inexpensive bite near times square. Only went there cause I missed my bus home and time to kill. Not bad at all.

This is the best fried chicken I have ever eaten. EVER. Don’t buy the pizza — it’s not worth the $ 1. Don’t bother with the sides… they’ll take up room that should be used for the chicken… for the best damn friend chicken around. I only order thighs and what I get is so juicy that I need 20 more napkins, so crispy that I worry about the noise the crunch makes, so tasty that I can’t walk by this place without getting a chicken fix. 2 thighs for $ 3. Try some of the addictive hot sauce with it, but be ready to sweat. The place is a hole in the wall with everything that goes with it. If you’re looking for fine dining or even McDonald’s level atmosphere, move on up the street… there’s national chains in both directions. If you want to eat come mind-blowing chicken, go in, stand in the tiny line, squeeze onto the postage-stamp sized counter, ignore the surroundings and give in to your fried chicken inner junky. OK — I must go eat fried chicken there today.

I’ve eaten here three times and I absolutely love it. My favorite part of each meal– the rice! Rice like this is amazing– I dream about it at night. Long grain, fried, brown rice. Ask them to put their white sauce on it and also get some hot sauce. Mix it all together, mmmm. I’ve ordered: — the whiting combo — the shrimp basket — the chicken gyro combo The whiting was good. I expected some little bones but found none. The breading was just right. The shrimp exceeded my expectations and the crunchy breading was tasty. The chicken gyro took the cake. Amazing spices and very juicy. Less than $ 10 for an entrée, rice, salad, and a soda equal a great deal. Not a big fan of fried chicken, but every other customer was ordering it, must be good.

Got their 10 pc deal for $ 10. Pretty legit deal if you want lots of fried chicken. The chicken legs tasted a lot better than the thighs. You can also choose which pieces to get for your 10 which is great. Great deal for $ 10 but only average chicken though.

The chicken tastes great. After paying double their price in Canada for an almost bland chicken, I have to say NYC’s chicken met my expectations. Although, there was something missing: my order included rolls, and I never got them, they had no water to sell at the time I went, space is limited(just 7 seats), and there is no air conditioner.

I didn’t get violently ill, which is probably the best thing I can say about this place. I had the 4 wings and fries combo, which was pretty cheap. The box was labeled«The Best Chicken in Town», which is dubious at best. The chicken was totally lacking in any discernible spice and was super bland. I will say that it looked like decent quality white meat(probably since it’s Halal). Like others have said, it wasn’t overly dry. They also didn’t give any extra salt or pepper packets, but luckily I had some at my desk. The fries were actually crispy and you get a ton of em. But I won’t be coming back any time soon.

I never had and probably wont have anything but the $ 1 slice of pizza here. Way better than 2Bros. The pizza comes out crispy and hot. Now I’m not nor saying the pizza is great or anything, but for a buck you can’t go wrong.

Good fried chicken. Don’t bother getting anything else at a place called NYC Fried Chicken. Everything is halal btw. You could get cheaper fried chicken a block away at Popeyes but this place always delivers oily juicy chicken just the way I like it!
