I’ve had many weaves… by many stylist… I know a good weave when I get one… and when my hair
Is pushed back too far… it is what it is… and know one
has money to waste on no hair that has false advertisement… not to mention I take good care of my natural hair… and edges wasn’t never a problem of mine… so put your big girl panties on… and take it with a grain of salt !!!

I went for a full head weave. Ok, it’s 2015 who still braids in a beehive style? The braid technique is important as it determines how your weave will fall/​lay. On top of which she braided my hair loose — another no no, especially if you plan to keep your hair in more than a month. Also. She started the braid at least 2 inches from my hairline and now it looks like a wig as it is so far back on my head. She didn’t think it was necessary to install my three bundles of Indique hair which I found odd since her site recommend three bundles for average head. Side note: She is full of herself!

So, I am on Unilocal looking for a new hair dresser. My last two hairdressers keep messing with my hairline and their not understanding my needs. I had my hair done at a Salon in Atlanta, GA and it looked good. Well, the tracks came out and I went back to the Salon. The hairdresser wasn’t there so FASHION offered to redo it for me. She’s a doll. It came out better! When I saw her on the New Jersey hair salon show for the Great Gatsby I got excited and searched all over the internet for her and I couldn’t find her. Back to my search on Unilocal and she comes up. I am excited and I just sent her a text to make a hair appointment.

I’ve been going to Fashion for years & I will continue to. Talk about a weave magician. Fashion is super talented. The salon is intimate, clean, & you really get a one on one experience.
I love going to Fashion, she always hooks me up. If you want to be transformed into a goddess, schedule an appt. You WONT be disappointed.

I have been toying with the idea of getting a weave for the past year. I wear my hair natural and have it colored blonde, so I wanted to find a style that was glamorous, easy, natural looking and healthy for my hair. After extensive research, it became clear that Fashion was the best person to book an appointment with… she is AMAZING!
Nervous about installing my very first weave, as well as having the color match my hair (which is many shades of blonde), I reached out to her before my appointment and she provided me with nothing less than SUPERB advice and direction as I prepared for the appointment.
I set up a time to purchase the hair directly from her prior to my appointment and when I arrived this afternoon for the install, it was colored to match my hair PERFECTLY.
Fashion is extremely affable, kind and professional. She is a stunning and beautiful woman inside and out. The studio is very clean and stylish. It was also the fastest and most pleasant appointment I have ever had… a major bonus for me. She is extremely efficient and I can sincerely say that she is not only incredible at installing… but an expert at coloring, cutting and styling as well! I have never felt blown away at the end of any sort of hair appointment until this afternoon. I could not be more happy with my hair. I LOVE IT and I am absolutely thrilled with NYC Weave Studio.

Fashion is a great stylist but my recent experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I was running late for my appt and I kept her in the loop on my whereabouts but right before I got to her (I was only a block away) she calls me to tell me not to bother coming cuz I’m too late and that she has a client that is spending $ 700 on their hair and she can’t be late for that. And with that she hung up on me which was totally unnecessary. The attitude that she gave really put me off. Not only that I am also a well paying client that spent almost $ 500 on the hair alone. Which was over processed with bleach. My lace closure that I purchased from her has broken off hair and so did my bundles. For what I payed for I should have received a quality product.

I went to Fashion for the first time yesterday, I was running a little late (13 mins) I began to panic because she’s ON TIME, I didn’t want to start off on a bad note as well as pay the late fee.
I made it to her at 12:13 and she got right to work (after I apologized) she braided, sewn my weave in, cut, flat iron and styled my FULL HEAD weave. I was sayingood bye and walking out at 1:50.
Moral of the story BE ON TIME !!!
My hair looks great and it is LAID !!!
The shop is clean, very pretty. Fashion doesn’t over talk nor does she under talk she’s perfect, there’s a nice size television if you want to watch it.
Fashion was very helpful, and gave tips on how to take care of my hair.

Unilocal came to the rescue when I searched for a weave salon and this place was one of the first to pop up. Great reviews, great photos, and great tips on the website.
I’d been waiting for my appointment for nearly 2 months! And finally this morning it arrived. I was early, thought I’d be late, and Fashion was on time. We started right away. She’s very professional and quick. I have to admit I was a little nervous but also very excited. I wasn’t sure if my hair would blend well with the hair. BTW, when a popular stylist uses fabhair and recommends it, use it! All my worries disappeared after the styling. My hair matched perfectly to the hair. I look amazing and Fashion did an incredible job.
By the way, I asked her how she keeps her great figure and she recommended GG bran crispbread from Scandinavia. She and I joked that I will mention this on my review as a one stop shop deal. Lose weight and look great. Thanks Fashion!

Fashion is absolutely brilliant! She did such a perfect job on the weave install and shes full of such useful information regarding upkeep and shes got extensive hair knowledge! After seeing all of her incredible pictures on her Instagram page I was beyond excited to finally have my appointment with her!
Shes knows exactly what shes doing and no appointment with her takes longer than 2 hours! I couldn’t believe how fast and painless she braided my hair (my hair is very thick and the hair strands are coarse). This is the tidiest most natural looking weave install I’ve had done. Fashion was able to do exactly what I wanted and in record time.
The salon is so beautifully decorated and she has a nice TV to watch while shes working on your hair. She’s also such a pleasure to talk to and chatting with her made the experience so much easier, Fashion had a little bit of extra time so she was able to completely fix my matting (I had a lot of matting in my hair due to my prior install done at a different salon) and combing out tangles is never fun but she made it as easy for me as she could.
Anyone who would like a weave NEEDS to book an appointment with Fashion because i really don’t see how you can get a better service than the one i received from her! YES, SHES THAT GOOD. And her price is right on point! I know a lot of people somehow want good service for cheap pay but it just doesn’t work that way you guys, you get what you pay for especially where hair is concerned, and her price is excellent as far as I’m concerned because your going to walk out of her salon looking like a movie star. (I’ll let you in on a little secret, i paid the same price for the install i received last October in Brooklyn which was bulky from the moment it was applied and just got bulkier over time and it made my head look about 3 times larger because the braids pattern was totally off and the tracks were sown in sloppily so i paid $ 175 for that and to top it all off I was in that hair salon for over 7 hours & you cant forget how matted it left my hair while removing, which has never happened to me before) So all of that trouble when I could have just came to Fashion! Wow so glad I stumbled upon her!
She has a client out of me, as long as i continue to wear weaves! SHE’S THE BEST.

Love Love Love this salon! I had been on the hunt for the perfect hairstylist and ‘weavologist’ for a very long time. My search has finally ended with NYC Weave Studio.
My mother and I had previously gotten our hair done by both Fashion and Priscilla at different locations, and I can guarantee you that both of these ladies have SKILLS!
Unlike other stylists, Fashion and Priscilla take great care to not only make sure that your weave is ‘laid to the gawds’, but that the health of your hair underneath is up to par as well. You’ll never entrust your tresses to anyone else after you visit this salon.
Both ladies are professional, have great personalities and know how to make each and every client feel beautiful.
Plus, the salon is decorated in pink, silver, black and crystal! What’s not to love?!

I went to see Fashion the Weavologist at her NYC Weave Studio back in March for my first full head install with a lace closure. Fashion did an AMAZING job. I was a little nervous to get an install, being that I’m hispanic and I have very fine hair. I voiced my concerns to Fashion, stating that I was afraid that the tracks wouldn’t stay put in my hair and she assured me that it would.
Before my appointment, I exchanged texts with Fashion for a consultation and I sent her a photo of the style I was looking for. She told me how many bundles to purchase, the lengths of each and also where to buy the hair. She only recommends the best quality hair. I am VERY satisfied with my purchase. She also has YouTube videos that are very informative as well… I made sure to watch all of her videos before my appointment.
My appointment took about 2 hours. She was very professional and informative. She told me which products to use & which not to use. She taught me how to properly wrap the hair and taught me how to curl the hair using a curling wand. I felt comfortable when I left the studio.
A couple of weeks later, I decided that I wanted to remove the lace part. I contacted Fashion via text, and she made herself available at the last minute to remove it at no charge.
I love that she makes herself available via text or email for an appointment request or consultation. I will never go to another weavologist as long as I wear weaves! Fashion is truly the BEST and I highly recommend her. Cant wait to go back and get my 2^nd install.

I was nervous about trying out a new hair stylist as I was not too thrilled about my last install. I texted Fashion on a whim and her super fast response took me by surprise. I arrived at the salon ten minutes early and she was there waiting. She has such an extensive knowledge of hair and makes sure that you are aware of what is going on. The end result was the best closure install I’ve ever had. I opted for the NYC package which covers all bases and is a very good price compared to other places in the area. The salon space is great and gives you a sense of privacy. You don’t have to deal with a million people walking in and out. I will definitely be back!

I went for my install on 11÷23÷12 Fashion was very polite and professional. Usually I would be in the chair for at least 4 hours for a sew in… Fashion did it in 2. I was scared at first because of how quick she did it but kept telling myself «She knows what shes doing»… My hair has NEVER looked this PERFECT and REAL before… She made my sew in so versatile that I’m able to throw it up in a ponytail. She also layered my hair to perfection… Fashion is BY FAR the best hair stylist in NY. I recommend her to any and everybody

I’ve never had such a good experience with getting my hair done. Fashion is the quintessential «IT» girl when it comes to doing weaves and doing them right. The prices are delicate, the service is fast and she knows exactly what she is doing. I was done within two hours as promised, my weave feels secure and the salon is neat and trendy. She offers you a complete consultation and gives excellent in-​depth tips about haircare. Worth every cent.

Fashionn is a weave professional! My appointment was scheduled for 2pm and she greeted me promptly at 1:59pm (after just finishing up a previous client). I normally bring lots of reading material when booking hair appointments because a 2pm appointment for a weave can easily turn into a 4pm appointment, which is a huge waste of time. So let me just say I was completely shocked when my appointment started on time. Prior to me booking my appointment, I asked the duration of the style I wanted. I was quoted 2hrs but thought it was complete bs. In all my days of weave wearing, no style ever took 2hrs or less. At 4pm (which I was unaware of the time because of our reality tv discussion) she said okay,“You’re all done,” I was completely blown away. It’s now been two weeks and 1 wash later and my hair is amazing. Fashionn does not braid tight and makes sure your are comfortable through the braiding process. She is about 30miles from me but the tolls and gas are worth a great hairdo that is completed within two hours. I’m sold!!!

So worth taking the bus and train to get to her. She is definitely professional without being too cold. As she was doing my hair I felt as if I was chatting with an old friend not a stranger.
She tweaked the style I wanted a bit to make it easier for me to maintain but it still came out perfect. Took about 2 hrs including my haircut, flatiron, the works. She even texted me a few days later to see how I was liking the style. She is most definitely my new go to weave stylist.

She has been doing this for some time. As a natural with a crown of hair I adore, I was nervous at first because a sew-​in in NY for less than 150 is just unheard of if its good… My hair looked great! Totally worth the trip.
