Off The Wall Frozen Yogurt

Their froyo is amazing. They have a large variety of flavors and toppings so you can do your own thing and enjoy.

This place is a nice treat for the craziness of the area and for its proximity to Port Authority. The yogurt overall is fine for chain frozen yogurt places (not super creamy), and they have a good mixture of flavors. I usually just opt for some form of vanilla, but they also have things like coconut and banana bread.
They also have a good amount of toppings like chocolate chunk, chocolate chips, almonds, cereal, some fruit like mango and kiwi (though didn’t look very fresh), and sprinkles.
The few times I’ve been here, the server has been very nice and friendly – which is surprising at one of these small chains. They also now have a rewards card in which you get one point for every $ 5 that you spend. Two yogurts have run us about $ 10 – 11. They now have plastic cups for the yogurt in which you can put a lid on them and take out.
I’ve never been here when it’s been crowded, so not sure how crazy it gets. But there are a few tables to sit inside.

Great variety and prices so I would be a fan even if there was more competition around. Wish they had boba and mochi toppings

I’m here every other day. I’ve never been let down by the delicious new flavors and friendly service. It’s crowded with screaming children on weekdays from 2−4pm. The prices are reasonable. The chairs and tables are always clean. They allow free samples if you ask so.

Off the Wall Frozen Yogurt is great! I go here more because of its convenience to the subway, bus, and Roosevelt Island Tram stop — it’s very centrally located. They have an excellent selection of frozen yogurt and the usual display of delicious toppings.
Although Off the Wall looks like a «hole in the wall,» the place is actually quite long and there’s quite a bit of room to sit. There are about 5 – 6 tables inside as well as a bench outside which is nice.

Overall a solid fro-​yo option, if you eat VERY quickly.
I enjoy their flavor varieties, plus good selection of toppings. My current fave flavors are cherry, pistachio, and coffee. They have everything from fresh fruit to mini chocolate-​covered pretzels. Employees are usually friendly. Sometimes they don’t pay too much attention or offer you sample cups, so you have to go ask.
But here’s the problem:
the «frozen» yogurt melts by the time you sit down and take your first bite. Every time. I don’t want to drink milky soup; I want to eat FROZEN yogurt. I keep coming back, but this hasn’t changed. There’s something different or off with their yogurt, and it simply melts too fast.
Also, I noticed the current containers for cereal/​sprinkles /​those toppings are difficult to use. You have to sort of stick your cup behind and under, awkwardly.

yogurt is very good-BUT…watch the guys who take your money. they have a tendency to rip you off if you aren’t paying attention. example– they will give you back change from a $ 10 bill when you gave them a $ 20! then they go in back to «look at the tape» and disappear for an hour. when they return, they say the tape isn’t clear so they give you back the change you should have gotten.
GOOD YOGURT! DISHONEST WORKERS! BEWARE CUSTOMERS!

I am a huge fan of froyo, especially in the winter time! There a couple of things I look for in my froyo place:
1. a good variety of flavors — check
2. a good variety of dry toppings — check
3. fruit that looks fresh — check
4. sample cups to taste the yogurt before you commit — check
All in all, I would say this place has all the qualities that would make this my go to fro yo place.

Cheaper than Pinkberry, 16 handles, Red Mango, and any other froyo place I’ve been to in the area.
Interesting flavors and toppings, and the selection also seemed to be a lot larger than most other froyo places in the area. The watermelon sorbet is great for summer.

Love this place! It is close to my work, so I look forward every time I can come here for FroYo while on my break! The only place so far around here where I could find non-​fat and sugarfree options! Great and tasty!

One of my favorite places to get frozen yogurt. So much cheaper than Pinkberry, and such a wider selection of flavors and toppings! Always love coming here.

Off The Wall is probably one of my favorite spots for froyo. It’s a tiny little hole-​in-​the-​wall place but don’t be fooled by its size because they have SO MANY FLAVORS to choose from it’s hard to not go froyo crazy in there. Their topping selection is fairly large as well so the possibilities are endless.
So far my favorite flavors are chai tea and sweet sixteen, and you can never go wrong with peanut butter or cake batter.

I walked in the cold tonight to get my favorite flavor froyo at this place: Sea Salted Caramel. But the machine was exhausted right before we walked in… boo! :(Well, i guess it means other people really like that flavor also?! Anyway, I was really looking forward to having the Sea Salted Caramel, so I was very disappointed when I couldn’t get it… Instead, i just got Euro Tart, which i also enjoyed. Still, it was no Sea Salted Caramel! :P
By far, this is my favorite froyo place! I have tried other «popular» places, such as Pinkberry, Strawberry Fields, 16 Handles, Red Mango, etc… All just «meh!» (shrug). At Off the Wall on 2^nd Ave., you can a lot of different flavors, creamy consistency, a variety of fun toppings, and most importantly, a very clean and neat little place!

I got the crème brûlée and Belgian chocolate flavors, with lots of cookie dough, reese’s cups, and salted caramel cups. I was just sad because the frozen yogurt totally melted as soon as I sat down. Maybe they need to cool it a little more? Otherwise, it’s a very clean and colorful store, servers are friendly and helpful, and plenty of space is available.

It’s not pink berry, and cheaper than 16handles. They have great toppings and delicious flavors! I’ll most definitely be going again.
Got the tart flavor (a lot of it) with lots of chocolate and candy toppings and raspberries. DELISH! And it was around $ 5

As a icecream lover this is the place to go anytime. Well not icecream, it’s frozen yogurt here which is much more healthier so no need to feel so bad after wolf down.
I like chocolate the best but they let you try other flavors before filling your cup.
I tried about half of those.
Topping selection is huge. It’s awesome — they have everything I need and even more.
I love those little cake pieces (and that’s about healthiness)
And the thing is: it’s self-​service. With no shame I can hoard as much as I want to. I don’t have to settle for a half-​full cup when I’m too embarassed to say «more» for the fourth time.
Seriously, (or not so much) forget a fancy dinner and impress your date with this place instead.

I have to say that I am addicted to fro-​yo. There, I admitted it… Anyway, one night I happened to be having dinner on the Upper East Side, an area of the city that I almost never visit, and was in need of a sweet finale to the evening. I opened my trusty Unilocal app and searched for «frozen yogurt» places in the area. After reading the overwhelming cries of decadent passion for Off the Wall, I knew that this was the spot for me.
Upon my arrival at the large and fun-​filled treat heaven, I encountered a multitude of self-​serve stations, many offering non-​fat flavors that I have not seen at competitive shops. The Peach variety was a bit too sweet, but the Angel Food Cake and Mango Sorbet were perfection.
I also loved their selection of unusual toppings, such as chia and flax seeds, both of which added flavor but a nominal amount of weight, keeping the price low. The granola was also crispy and fabulous, but the fruit had been rather picked through and slimy. To be fair, though, the place was about to close. However, the late hour did not deter the staff, which was congenial.
Since that visit, I have seen at least one other Off the Wall location sprout up in the city, which was really a bittersweet surprise, as I will now have to make a conscious effort to not head there on a daily basis!

I have tried pretty much every froyo place in the city (except for the struggling tasti d-​lites and the converted The Lite Choices), and this place is the best.
I may be biased by the fact that they just leave the sample cups out and you can go to town on as many samples as you want with a low shame factor since there is no one there really watching you either. They also have a good bathroom, which is a huge plus for my wife, who always needs to go. This is also a huge plus for me, as I always eat far more than two massive cups worth while just waiting for her to go to the bathroom (she takes awhile and I also eat very fast).
In all seriousness, this place is the best. The sample freedom does contribute to the rating, but the yogurt itself also is awesome. Their Peanut Butter flavor is one of the best, and they have a frequently rotating set of other flavors that are really really good (angel food cake and cookies in cream in particular). The yogurt is some of the smoothest available, and not at all icy, which is a problem a lot of other places have.
They have a good number of toppings too, including lots of fruit and several different kinds of ground up candy bars. It also seems to be cheaper than most other places. Though that might be because I end up buying less after getting myself full on all the free samples.
I don’t think it’s open yet, but I can’t wait to go and try the new location in Chelsea right between Doughnut Plant and the Clearview theater. I hope it’s as good as this one.
