Oliver Pacifico, MD

He’s great. He takes personal phone calls. He’s common sense. He doesn’t try and pad the bill. I’ve never waited more than 20 minutes. The staff is just OK, but he’s tops.

Very good doctor and felt immediately comfortable with him. He doesn’t rush you out and listens to your answers to very well put together questions regarding your health and needs you may have. Staff there get 3 to 4 stars but I’ve found that is true almost everywhere in NYC.

I’ve been fortunate to have Dr. Pacifico as my internist for the past ten years. He is knowledgeable in any given medical situation and by far the kindest doctor I’ve ever been acquainted with. He always returns my calls promptly, listens and respects my opinions and takes the time to address all of my concerns.
I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great doctor!

Dr. Pacifico is the best doctor I’ve ever been to. His beside manner is impeccable. Its easy to talk to him but the best part is that he listens. Really glad I found him.

Best doctor of all time! I’ve been going to Dr. Pacifico for almost a decade and he handles business. I’m not talking about once or twice a year either. There was a period where I must have seen him every month. I recently moved out of state but won’t change doctors. I travel back to NYC to see him because he’s just that good.

Dr Pacifico is the best! I went for my physical and routine blood work. He was on time, very nice, and he walked me through all blood work and answered any questions I had. He is also very accessible when you need perscriptions filled etc, which is hard to come by in NYC.
I would recommend him to anyone, although I still want on time appointments, so maybe not everyone ;)

Dr. Pacifico is excellent. I’ve only been for my annual check up, but he was the most thorough PCP I’ve ever used. He is very patient, explains everything he is doing very clearly, and is willing to sit with you & answer questions — I didn’t feel rushed for even one moment. My only complaint would be the nurse during my appointment… she was very slow & I wasn’t confident she knew what she was doing (not a good feeling!)… but Dr. Pacifico is definitely the best doctor I’ve been to!

I have to agree with Olivia. His bedside manner is just the best. He’ll listen for as long as it takes. You’re never rushed. And he takes all concerns seriously. Never makes you feel silly.
You’ll have to put up with a bit of annoyance now that he’s moved from his own office to a group practice on the West Side, but he’s well worth it.

Let me start by saying the Dr. Pacifico himself is a very nice guy. He’s always been professional and courteous, and seems like he knows what he’s doing.
His staff? Atrocious. I’ve only ever had one smooth experience there, the others riddled with rude service people and 1.5 hour + waits for an AM appointment.
The final straw was showing up to a 9am appointment to have them tell me that the Doctor wasn’t in. This was after I called at 4:30 pm the previous day to confirm the appointment, to which they told me they called at 9:30pm to cancel. Would I have been able to cancel my appointment at 9:30pm? Didn’t think so.
Anyway, then she hands me 5 new forms to fill out (which I’ve already done twice), tells me that I need to call my insurance company since they’ve switched labs (isn’t that something you could do?) and that I need to reschedule… probably for weeks out.
It’s a 6 degree wind chill outside. I just walked 12 blocks to find out that you cancelled my appointment at 9:30 pm from an unavailable # (which I never answer). The least you could do is NOT act like it’s my fault. Any ounce of courtesy would have kept me there.
Needless to say, I’m finding a new doctor. One that knows how to hire decent staff.

Awesome bedside manner and really listens to your problems and concerns. Very helpful and goes above and beyond to make sure youre always taken care of.
Note though, He is now at the NYU Langone Medical Center in Midtown West (52^nd between 8^th and 9^th)

This morning was our first visit. We have been patients at another practice for a number of months (being new to the city) and were not happy. We found Dr. Pacifico and it only took one visit for us today to choose him as our primary care physician. He is personable, thorough, obviously knowledgeable, prompt and all in all around nice person to entrust with your health care.

I’ve been to Dr. Pacifico twice and he’s just a really nice guy. There’s no uncomfortable creepy factor about him. He’s just very professional and easygoing, which is comforting because I always feel nervous when going to the doctor but had no nerves in this situation.
