Went out in search of Colombian Pesos. Omnex had less than $ 200 worth, but I appreciate that not that many people will be buying/selling COP.
«Rate guarantee»? Total bullshit. I purchased $ 100 worth at approximately an 18% discount from actual rates. Pretty mediocre, but it’s worth it to not have to search for an ATM in a foreign airport. While traveling back home, I stopped by two other places and found both with better rates. For the $ 5 – 10 that i lost, I won’t be going back to demand the guarantee.
Painless, required ID, mediocre exchange rate.

Excellent money exchange! They were fast and efficient and showed me everything they did in the computer.
The rate was almost on exact (market for GBP = 1.55, I paid 1.57). Lost almost nothing in the exchange and fees are waived for exchanging over $ 300.

Came here after getting screwed around with A & S exchange. The business actually has uno foreign exchange on the front but is the same business. The guy there was very helpful with purchasing Canadian dollars. He has just as good rates as anyone else in the city. Also over $ 300 there are no fees which was great as I normally exchange money in large amounts. Will definitely use this place again.

Excellent money exchange place. I wish I found this place sooner but now I know thanks to Unilocal of course.
Service was quick and courteous. Fee waived if you exchange over $ 300 so go big! I can’t speak on the rates for anything below $ 300 but I believe it’s reasonable.
Ready for my trip this week and no need to deal with annoying money exchange places at my destination. Highly recommend this place.

Can’t complain. The rate here is pretty comparable with the exact exchange rate. For USD to CAD they gave me $ 1.25CAD for $ 1USD which is a pretty decent rate since the real exchange rate is $ 1.31 at the moment. The normal transaction fee is $ 3, but if you exchange over $ 300 then it’s waived. The place is not the most private area in terms of getting your money, but it’s alright. They also take work phone calls while servicing you which can be offputting to some, but I didn’t mind too much. Convenient location for those near midtown and looking for a decent rate!

I just called them and apparently they don’t do exchanges for yen anymore. Make sure to call and ask if they carry the currency you’re looking to exchange for and the amount you want before going because they may not have it.

They have to buzz you in. Otherwise, the door is locked. Omnex is a solid and trustworthy place to get your money exchanged, unlike some of the several other money exchange places in the immediate area. There is a $ 3 charge for any transaction under $ 300 — just remember that.
You need you drivers license or a form of picture ID in order to transact. They also keep you in their computer system.
Rates are always pretty solid and at the very least, competitive.
Quick and easy transaction every time and they have most currencies available.

Quick and very good rates. Located just near the Empire State Building. As mentioned by other Unilocalers, it is tiny so you may miss it if you aren’t paying attention.
They also need to buzz you in at the door which is just ever so slightly annoying, but I guess it is for security reasons to protect all of those stacks of money. ;)

This place is a must-go if you need currency exchange.
Great exchange rates (no commission fee if you exchange more than $ 300!). Friendly service. The girl behind the counter was quick — I was in and out in under five minutes. There was another man that came in while I was there, who spoke French — she was able to converse with him fluently. (I’m not sure if all the tellers can speak multiple languages, but I felt that this is something worth mentioning.)
They don’t have every currency in the world, but they have had any currency I have ever needed: GBP, yen, euro, etc. They also had Swiss francs on hand that my bank did not have.
