OOTOYA serves authentic Japanese home style Teishoku meals to hundreds of people everyday in New York.
History
Established in 1958.
OOTOYA was founded by Eiichi Mitsumori, and was first known as «50 cent (Yen) diner,» serving every dish for equivalent to 50 cents. Since then, OOTOYA has been very successful serving authentic Japanese home cooking to many people in Japan and in all over Asia including Thailand, Taiwan, Indonesia, and Hong Kong. The restaurant in Chelsea, NY is our very first restaurant outside of the Asia Pacific region.
