Patsy’s is the most costumer unfriendly restaurant I have ever experienced! They are the rudest restaurant on several occasions I have ever experienced and I though I give them another chance an order in. After waiting 1 hour ½ when I was quoted 40 – 50 minutes… They were unapologetic, charged me more then my grub hub bill and the oizza was like cardboard and ice cole… Fool me once Shane on you, fool me several times… I am so done with Patsy’s!!!

Been to the one on the Upper West Side — this one is obviously of the same chain and just as good. I got the white pie this time which I haven’t in the past(I usually go the classic). Just as good as always but slight dry as it doesn’t have a sauce on it which disappointed me a bit. It’s a good slice/pie but nothing that I would write home about. I’d stick to the classics here.

Not sure why so many people complain about the service, but then again if your an a$$ expect to be treated the same. We sat at the bar, service was 5 star. Fried zucchini and eggplant was delicious. Cheese pizza arrived and it was amazing… I’ve had pizza all over the world, Patsy’s was one of the best.

Just average it’s ok for what it is. Would I go back? Not sure maybe to try the pizza. Had the insalata Siciliana it was overdressed and like I said just average. My friend had the pasta Alfredo with chicken and again just average… the waitress was nice enough… I think for average food it’s overpriced… there are other places to explore in NYC

The pizza here is very solid, with a nice, crunchy, slightly charred crust, thick, slightly sweet sauce, and the perfect amount of cheese. We had the mushroom and onion, which was topped with fresh mushrooms, not the canned Geisha mushrooms that you can probably buy from Duane Reade. I wouldn’t call it a Ben’s of Soho-NYC-style pie, but it was good, and I did like the insalata mista, which was tossed in the perfect blend of red wine vinegar and olive oil. The pollo ala griglia sandwich is also a good pick with a nicely seasoned breading and a thinly-pounded chicken cutlet. I acn’t speak to the service since we got our order to go so that we could watch the Heat/Spurs game but our order was ready when we arrived.

Wanted a quick pizza fix and was too tired and lazy to head to the Village to the usual spot. Unfortunately, I didn’t get that fix. I had Patsy’s a couple of times when they were in Murray Hill and although they weren’t the best they were pretty good. This new location needs to work on their crust and sauce. I was sadly disappointed, not as good as it used to be. Lesson learned. when I need that pizza fix, I’ll just head downtown.

Great service and great food. The arugula salad(individual size) was enough for 2 people, and was very fresh. The rolls were warm and tasty, and they provided olive oil for dipping. The pizza came out piping hot and fresh, quite delicious. The waitress was friendly and attentive. I will go back here often when I’m in the neighborhood.

My fav pizza place, ever. I’ve been to every location, I like this one best, right around the corner from Bloomingdales but always peaceful. The sauce is thick, the cheese is stretchy, and the crust is crunchy. I’m not a pizza snob but I still expect every bite to make me warm and fuzzy inside. Patsy’s does just that for me.

We visited their location on 3rd Avenue in Murray Hill after seeing a screening at the Ford Foundation.(Nearby.) Reliably delicious pizza… although I had the rigatoni in a bolognese sauce, which was really good. Small portions though and pretty high prices for a bowl of pasta and meat so that was a little discouraging. Their locations vary in size and state of the structure. this one looked a little beat up and more like a deli-lunch place rather than a quality restaurant. $ 60 for two nice sized salads with a great oil/vinegar dressing, two beers and two plates of pasta and we were out $ 70 with tip. I’d always recommend Patsys because I really enjoy their salads and this crust pizza but overall this location was a little lacking.

I am a VERY tough pizza critic, a lifelong New Yorker, and regularly sample pizzas all over New York City as a hobby. Patsy’s stacks up. Crispy crust, tangy, sweet-ish sauce, good quality cheese, and the right ratio of cheese to sauce, too. We had the basics: a margherita, a pepperoni, and a mushroom. The mushrooms were fresh, not canned so I’m guessing all their produce is good. The pepperoni was lackluster. It’s the small, nickel-sized, thick-cut, oily kind. I prefer the thinner sliced, silver-dollar sized kind that lays flatter on the pizza. These small differences make otherwise great pizza just good. They are always packed so make a reservation for a large party for sure. And don’t be late. We were on time, but it took us 5 mins to just get through the crowd of people jamming up the doorway and the sidewalk. The host(who seemed like a jerk) told us we were late and that he gave out table away. I persisted that we couldn’t even get in the door and thankfully a nicer lady hostess said she had a table for us upstairs. Once we were inside it was a pleasant experience. Upstairs is much more peaceful than the ground floor.

There’s other New York style pizzerias that are more fancy and offer a more exclusive set of toppings and options and are probably a bit«better» in the grand scheme of things(Otto Enoteca in Washington Square comes to mind), but Patsy’s is one of the quintessential classic pizzerias of New York City. Being fair, I believe the«real» Patsy’s is the one in Harlem, but as of this writing, this food tourist hasn’t managed to make it that far up the island. After a long day of hitting up Museum Mile and hitting FAO Schwarz, I took the subway on down to Patsy’s on 3rd Ave. After a short walk from the subway, I walked in, was seated, and got the Pizza. It was very good – everything a New York Pizza should be. For some reason(some folks believe it’s the water), New York Pizza tastes far better in New York than it does when made in other locales. I agree. It was a little on the spendy side(most things in New York are) – I think I spent about 25 dollars for the meal for myself. But I left stuffed. Which brings me to my next point… I think it’s much easier(and more economical) to come here with someone, as I don’t remember having the ability to get Pizza by the slice. But I managed to down the whole Pizza like a champ anyhow. Anyhow, this is a good stop for the food tourist who wants to experience a Patsy’s pizza, but doesn’t want to make the trip to Harlem. Harlem may well be worth the trip.

If you take out pizza, and you show up on time, it shouldn’t be cold when you get home, especially if you only live 4 blocks away. Enough said.

DECOR: 3⁄5 SERVICE: 2.5÷5 FOOD: 2.5÷5 Quantity: 4⁄5 Quality: 2⁄5 –Paying a premium for pasta is not my style. I came here for a friend’s birthday. –First you’re served bread which holds you off until the main entrée comes out. The family size portions definitely feed 3 – 4 adults. –Fettuccine Alfredo e Pollo: the chicken was cooked well and tasted great. It wasn’t overcooked. –Linguine Fra Diavolo ai Frutti de Mare: lots of sand in the clams, seafood was okay.

Listen: just go. It’s the reason to move to NY. Worth the money. John’s, Famous Ray’s and Patsy’s. All different, all good. Stop reading. Go.

3 ½* I’ve been to this Patsy’s a few times but was never really a fan. Went here for lunch today and I think it’s gotten better from the last time I’ve been here. Between 6 girls we ordered two large pies, one margarita and one white pizza. It took a really long time for our pizzas to come out. Since we came during our lunch break(and we were all starving) this turned out to be pretty inconvenient. We finally got our pizzas and they were devoured pretty quickly. Margarita — great sauce but I wish there was more mozzarella. The pie was cooked perfectly though, not burnt at all and super crunchy. White Pizza — I thought this was pretty good, but a little too heavy. If you really like ricotta, this is the pie for you! I still prefer my pizza greasy with a lot of cheese, but I’m glad I gave Patsy’s another shot.

My co-worker swears by Patsy’s. He guaranteed this would be the best I’ve ever had. Oh, it was good. I’ll give him that. We kept it real simple: pepperoni pizza. Crust: chewy but crispy. Sauce: Fresh! You can really taste the tomatoes. Cheese: stretchy and whole(you know what i mean, right?) Pepperoni: traditional tiny slices, lots of flavor! Two guys, one large pie, no leftovers. ’nuff said!

Patsy’s may not be John’s(my favorite pizza in Manhattan), but man it’s good. Really really good. Their salads are big and flavorful. Their pastas are robust, creamy and well cooked. They have a decent, relatively well priced wine selection. But let’s talk about the pizza since it’s all about the pizza. Their plain pies are balanced and extremely clean. Not lots of oil, and a great balance between cheese and sauce. Their olives are hand cut and have none of that metallic taste you get sometimes from places. Their onions are nice, thick cut red onions. Their veggie pies have bite. I don’t eat pepperoni but the smell is fantastic, and my friends constantly rave that the combination with mushrooms and sausage is to die for. Maybe my only problem with Patsy’s is that they close too early. 11pm on a Thursday night? That’s just silly.

I don’t know what happened here. The pizza used to be a lot better. It is okay but nothing great. I think the Patsy’s on the UES is better. Arugala salad here used to be better too! It gets 3 stars because compared to the awful quality food of the other 3rd Avenue restaurants along Murray Hill, Patsy’s is your best bet.

How excited I was to learn that Patsy’s was within eyesight of our hotel. After we checked in and were reassured by the hotel staff that Patsy’s was one of the top two pizza joints in the neighborhood we headed straight out in the 20 degree heat and walked across the street. I’ll start by saying the pizza looks better than it tastes. It isn’t bad, but in my opinion a let down. I expected a tasty crust with fresh and flavor toppings. What we got was a tasteless thin crispy crust with really just average toppings. Nothing better than you can find anywhere else. The sauce was a bit sweet and resembled those that you would find at any major chain. For my friends back in the Bay Area, Amicis is better. And I consider Amicis to be a little above average. Decent pizza, but not great and nothing to get excited over.
