Pet Town

The men who work at Pet Town are always accommodating: kind, helpful, and service served with a smile [even though we’ve only a phone relationship, I can «hear» the smile]. For the past 2 years since I’ve been uptown, Pet Town has been my go-​to place and I couldn’t more genuinely recommend it.

Best in the City. The store keeps in stock for me the particular hard to find dog food I feed my dog. When I call to order the food, they even remember my name and address. Terrific store. No need to go anywhere else. The stay open late and will deliver late. You can’t do any better anywhere else-​great service, great prices and just plain, nice folks. Plus the cat is cute!

This store is great — the staff is super friendly and helpful. Very personable and great customer service! The fat cat may be a bit obese but he’s super cute too!

AMAZING pet shop!!! Their hours are excellent and the front staff is so helpful and polite. They deliver big bags of food right to your door and are kind and knowledgeable whenever you need something.

I love this little shop! They are knowledgable and always have what I need. I’d rather support a small business than Petco. If you can’t make it to the store they even deliver!

Like many other reviewers I’m a fan of supporting local businesses. This place was recommended to me by the shelter I adopted my cat from. It’s around the corner from me so I thought I’d check it out. Its great! The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have everything you need and its cheaper than Pet Co or Pet Smart (at least my brands are — Wellness & The Worlds Best Cat Litter). They provide delivery if you need it and are open late — 9PM on the weeknights!

we live around the corner and make an effort to support the local businesses in the neighborhood. These guys are THE BEST. Literally became some of our first familiar and friendly faces in the neighborhood! Not to mention they appreciate their loyal customers. Same prices if not cheaper than chains like Pet CO. and wonderful friendly faces to help! Love them!

I went here because the citronella bark collar I needed would not be here in time for the day I needed it if I ordered it online. I bought the collar but decided not to use it, returned it for credit and have been shopping here since. Excellent selection and nice employees.

Like other reviewers, I try to shop locally. This store carries most premium pet food and treats, even brands that are harder to get. Moreover, I always want a size they don’t carry, but they’ll order it for me promptly. Service and prices are very good. And as another reviewer mentioned, their hours are very convenient. They’re open every day (at different times) so shopping on Sunday is perfectly fine. I recommend it strongly.

I’m with the other reviewer — I try to shop at the locally owned businesses. These guys are really nice, and they stay OPEN until 9:00PM!!!
If they don’t have what you’re looking for, they will order it. Also, they deliver!

Pet Town is a great neighborhood pet store. They have a large selection of food, treats and pet supplies at competitive prices. The staff is always friendly and extremely helpful. I recommend it to anyone in the neighborhood that is looking for pet supplies.

I try and make an effort to frequent smaller independent shops as much as I possibly can. Let’s face it, the big PetSmart on Lexington really doesn’t need my business. It is small shops like Pet Town that give a city its character.
Pet Town is a great store. They always have whatever I need to pet supplies and because its an independent store, the service is much more attentive that you are going to receive at a large chain like PetSmart.
PetSmart has its place … but unless you really need something which only they will have, then I really suggest you give a store like Pet Town a chance. It is well worth it.
Plus, you get to say hello to the store’s house cat who strolls the store as his own! He knows who the true boss is. PetSmart doesn’t and can’t offer that!
