Overpriced, bad service and quality of food is poor. Lemon pancakes tasted like pure lemons. Had to ask for server to bring drinks ordered and items such as jam for the rolls. So not impressed and a wasted expensive meal.

We were told to give Serafine at Time Hotel a try for dinner after the Tonight Show so we headed there. You almost get the feeling you know a secret place as it is almost tucked away though right off the street. The restaurant was quite small but we were seated very quickly. The host staff were less than friendly but the service staff was attentive and very nice. It was VERY loud in there. Not because of the people but because of the music. The bread that came out was hard and cold with self service olive oil and vinegar. The prices were a bit high with appetizers starting around 16 dollars and going up from there. We ordered the buffalo mozzarella which was tiny for 16 dollars and extremely plain. We added some balsamic vinegar which kicked up the flavor. The cheese was good quality though. I ordered, the special which was a fettuccini with porcini mushrooms and Steak medallions. It was quite tasty but very small for the 30 dollars it cost. My wife ordered the gnocchi which was tasty as well. Small serving as well but much lower cost than mine. Overall, the experience was«eh» and the cost was much higher than the quality of experience and food.

Service: Been waiting over 30 minutes for my breakfast and the waiter comes back to me and asks… what did you order? She literally didnt put in my order. She doesnt even remember what I ordered and there’s not even 10 people in the reataurant. If it was busy… I could understand the mistake but it’s 9am. There’s almost no one in here. How do you forget an order? She even has the audacity to say it wont take long since it’s just eggs. Never coming back here. Food: I got the 2 eggs breakfast with potatoes and salad. Salad was overdressed. Potatoes were crispy and good. The eggs for some reason has a moutain of salt on it. The best thing I had was perhaps the coffee.

I made a reservation to eat at Serafina for my mother and I, before seeing a Broadway show. It was supposed to be a special night. From the moment we walked in, it was just bad. We walked up to the hostess stand and no one greeted us. Finally we had to say«hello» for the employees to notice us. There were 2 women behind the hostess stand. We gave them our reservation name, and instead of just walking us to our table, they stood and had a conversation amongst themselves for what seemed like a ridiculously long time. My mother and I continued to just stand there, very uncomfortably. It was honestly very rude. I felt such a strong sense of zero professionalism in the entire establishment. While we were awkwardly standing there waiting for them to finish their conversation so that we could be seated, two employees were standing by the bar. They kept making eye contact with us, while singing and rapping along to the obnoxiously loud music. It just felt that no one cared that we still weren’t seated. Afterward, the dinner was just okay. The bread they brought to the table was stale, and the appetizers were not good. Our wine also had bits of cork in it. So unpleasant. I will say that the steak however, was delicious. We did not enjoy the obnoxious ambiance or the music, and neither did the party sitting next to us. The next day, my mother’s friend asked if we received the glasses of champagne he ordered to be brought to our table. We felt embarrassed because we never received any champagne. It turns out that my mother’s friend had called Serafina prior to our arrival and ordered glasses of champagne to be brought to us, and the employees of Serafina did not take care of that. It just seems like the people who work here don’t care enough. After an already crappy night at this restaurant, that information about the champagne just made it worse. Absolutely do not come here if you are looking for good service.

Don’t go here if you’re wanting a drink before a show. It’s located smack bang in the heart of the theater district. The bar is full and there’s only one barman. It’s been 20 minutes and we have yet to be served.

What a great time. I had the Bow ties and Shrimp dinner. The food was excellent and the service was top notch. I sent my compliments to the restaurant and had the manger come by our table. He shook my hand and thanked me for the compliment and was thankful I told him that the food was good and that I would be returning. Thank You Very Much Staff! :)

Great location and great food. Had the sea bass with leeks and zucchini simmered in Pinot Grigio. It was a large portion of bass and great bitterly flavor. Saffron risotto was great too. Cappuccino was delicious and not too strong. I would and will go back. Thanks!

Great spot for a work lunch. It is casual but nice and the service is always good. It is also not super crowded so i find it perfect to go during work. I always get the vegetable platter — It is spaghetti squash with a delicious and simple red tomato sauce with a variety of vegetables. It is filling but not too much so it is great if you don’t want to fall asleep at your desk

Ambiance is ok. Hotel is under construction. Drinks were very good. Lemon farfelle pasta with shrimp was really good as was the margarita pizza. However the lobster heart shaped ravioli was a bit of a disappointment. Sauce wasn’t reminiscent of lobster bisque and overall the peppers over powered the seafood in the dish.

Disappointing dining experience. The other locations are much better. The service was abysmal. Twice we were brought tea and told it was iced coffee. The food was tasty but luke warm. Try some where else

Amazing meal after Chicago at Serafina’s from the amazing Passion cocktails, the ridiculously delicious salad to the divine entrée! I will absolutely come again, only gripe is that their servings are a little smaller than what I’m used to.

Review is for a Seamless Order. Tonight I ordered the«Alle Erbe Pizze» and it had potential but was only OK. You could taste that the ingredients were of good quality but there were issues which caused me to deduct two stars. I would consider trying another one of their pizzas to see if it’s more successful. Negatives: 1. It arrived cold. I understand you probably won’t get a piping hot pizza when you order delivery, but there are other places that are far more successful in delivering pizza that is at least semi-hot or warm, whereas this was just cold. 2. Not enough cheese. I realize the style of the Serafina pizza is minimalist, but there was still not enough Parmigiano Reggiano in my opinion. I think it could have benefited from a bit more. 3. Unequal distribution of the herbs. If you look closely at the photo you’ll see pockets of herbs on the pizza, particularly in the very center of the pie. This can be chalked up to carelessness, and, while wholly unavoidable, made for some bites of pizza that were less than enjoyable because I felt like I was eating an entire garden. Positives: 1. Fresh ingredients. The Parmigiano Reggiano tasted like Parmigiano Reggiano, and did not taste like some cheap commercial brand of parmesan, which demonstrates they at least use ingredients of a certain standard, a huge positive in my book. The same goes for the herbs, which, when not erratically clumped together, added a nice depth of flavor. 2. I quite liked the sauce. It was well-balanced and tasty. 3. The olive flavor came through even on the bites without olive simply from the cooking process, and this too was a strong point. 4. Reasonable price. Despite being a light, thin crust pie, the pizza was fairly large and filling for one person. I was starving, so I finished it, but on a regular night I wouldn’t have. At $ 14 I thought it was a fair value, especially because, as I said, they seem to have used premium ingredients. Unfortunately, there were enough missteps that I feel Serafina at the Time Hotel deserves a 3-star rating for this meal. However, because I liked the ingredients they were using and because I think the pizza I tried had potential, I would be willing to give this place another shot. At $ 14(on Seamless) it was reasonably priced, so we’ll have to see if they do better next time.

Perfect pre-theatre destination! I had the filet with pasta and truffles and it was delicious! The burrata is fabulous as well. My friends had the lobster pasta with spicy red sauce and the mushroom filet and both loved them as well.

Decided that my three star rating was too generous. Service was great but the food was very mediocre. Maybe 2 ½ stars to be fair.

I had a wonderful Time Here and I work in hospitality, so I’m a snob. I came on New Year’s Day(city was dead) and sat at the bar, a cute tiny white girl with long brown hair served me, she was funny, and easy to get along with. Then a manager came Over who was really nice and personable as well, long black hair and mixed. I was looking for open places to eat with a friend who was coming from Washington heights before he goes to a show and I Go to see a movie. I was having such a great time Talking to the staff I invited my friend to continue the fun. The staff recommended great food to me and was super nice. I extremely enjoyed it The only draw back is the restaurant is connected to the times hotel which pretty much looks like a DIY job stopped half way through. It was dirty and falling apart.

Do not go here people. You may get black hair in your food… or worse… they run after you on the street if they’re not pleased with your tips!!! We will tell all our friends and pray they go out of business for treating costumers that have gotten HAIR in their food like this. So we just had the worst experience ever. The food was okay until I found a black hair in the cheese on my pizza. I got really disgusted obviously. I waited until the servant came to our table to not cause a scene. The servant seemed nice, he apologized and asked me if I wanted a new pizza. I politely returned his offer as we were all grossed out by the hair in the first pizza and wanted to leave as quickly as possible. After a while the manager came to our table and told us that after«thoroughly analyzing» the hair it could not be anyone that worked there that had caused it to be in my food. He pointed out that it was too long(about 10cm) and that everyone that made food downstairs wore something over their hair. In other words, he blamed me and rudely told us all that he didn’t understand how it happened instead of sincerely apologizing and tell us that I didn’t have to pay for it like a normal restaurant should do. We were three BLONDE Norwegians at the table. The hair was BLACK and not even close to the length I have on my hair. The hair was not on top of the pizza, but inside the cheese.(I had to pull it out as I almost swallowed it!!) In other words. not mine. Getting hair in your food is something that can happen to all restaurants, but I did not expect to have to PAY for it. But this is not the worst part… After we all paid our food and tried to politely not cause a scene and just get out of there, the servant RANAFTERUSOUTONTHESTREET and told us that we had to give him more in TIPS. We had paid and written down what to pay for tax, etc. Then this person that barely spoke English told us we had to pay FIVE dollars more in CASH. We were humiliated as it looked like we didn’t pay for our food. We had to stand outside and wait for the servant to go inside again with a $ 20 bill so he could get his EXTRA for literally the WORST service ever. He came out with $ 15 dollars and we left. This is not a place I would recommend anyone to go when you have so many great options around the city. This one is not even worth considering.

I’ve dined at other Serafina locations before and this one was my least favorite. The chain is one you go to for decent food and a fun atmosphere… usually. Last night, at this location, the food was less than decent and the atmosphere was… a cluster**ck, even during a blizzard. We had an 8pm reservation and arrived a half hour early. The hostess was a snob and gave us an attitude about our arrival time but sat us instantly(doesn’t make any sense to me). The tables are WAY to close together. My behind literally graced the poor couples’ table sitting next to us as I got into my seat, and the same thing happened to us when people were seated on the other side of us as well. I’d like to mention this was by far not my first choice for a dining destination. I saw a show in the area with a friend of mine who isn’t as adventurous when it comes to food. I was in charge of the reservation so I figured a safe bet would be an «Italian» restaurant with a large menu that she can choose from. Who doesn’t love some pizza and pasta? Anyway, we ordered bruschetta as an appetizer to split, which was basically 4 pieces of overly toasted bread that were to hard to even bite into and some salted cut up tomatoes on top… SKIPIT. I, like an idiot, decided to change up my usual order(the Chicken Salad«Gold Gym» which is actually pretty good for an entrée salad) for the Insalatina di Portofino. It was awful. No dressing, no olive oil, nothing. SKIPIT. My friend ordered penne a la vodka which looked good. She devoured the entire plate, but come on, that’s SUCH a simple dish. For dessert I ordered the panna cotta which is supposed to come with parmesan cheese and balsamic vinegar. Out came a poor excuse for the dessert which was relatively tasteless, sitting on a hair-thin piece of cheese that tasted like cardboard with maybe a drop of balsamic. SKIPIT. She got the nutella crepes which she didn’t finish. The only plus is that if you bring your Broadway ticket stub, you get 20% off, so I guess I felt a little less guilty shelling out money for this sub-par meal. Look, if you’re a foodie, this is not your place. If you want to be part of a «crowd» and feel like a «somebody,» by all means, go ahead and dine here.

This is one of the first restaurants that I stepped in without doing any research on Unilocal before hand! I had a little anxiety attack not knowing what to expect. It was then I realized how much I depended on Unilocal! This restaurant is located at a good location near broadway shows. It is a good spot to grab some dinner before your show starts. I really like the ambiance of the restaurant. This restaurant is like the kind of Italian restaurant you see in a romantic movie. They serve bread and olive oil like other Italian restaurants. The olive oil that they use was so good! It had a fruity flavor and it really tingled my palate! It got my appetite ready for my wonderful dinner. For antipasti, I tried the calamari and for my entrée, I ordered the Farefelle al limoncello, which comes with baby shrimps, limoncello from Capri, and parmesan with a touch of cream sauce. The calamari was fried perfectly! The calamari was really soft and fluffy. The pasta was cooked aldente! I really enjoyed the pasta. It is so much better than a lot of the Italian restaurants I have tried in Boston. I liked the tangyness from the sauce. It went well with the seafood and it increases my appetite. I also ordered couple glasses of Sauvignon Blanc. It added a perfect touch to my dinner. The service was also really good. Everyone was attentive and made sure all our requests were met. The only downside about this restaurant is the restroom is on 2nd floor where you have to wait 10 hours for the elevator to get to! Other than that I am really happy with my experience at Serafina.
