A Chinese found Japanese bento prepared by Korean the best lunch option in tasteless Times Sq area… Do I need to say anything else? Oh, they have sushi, noodles, and many other options.

Came here unexpectedly. The service was friendly and welcoming. Our food didn’t take long either, they didn’t offer us drinks or water though we had to wait and ask but that was just a kink, the food itself is really good I had the spicy bulgogi and it tasted good! Definitely would come back again if I visit the city more.

This place might used to be good. I wouldn’t recommend this place for two reason. Expensive and bland food. Giving most staff are Koreans and its a sushi restaurant, I ordered a beef Udon and salmon roll. The Udon soup is tasteless like tap water and the pieces of beef is way overcooked and bland as well. The sushi chef who made my roll looked inexperienced as he constantly asked for advices. Sushi roll is supposed to look good, be fresh & savory, but at the place, the roll comes in different shape and fall apart. What’s more disappointed is that the food is overpriced.

Horrible! The worst restaurant service I’ve ever experienced in my life! Waited hours for the food to come but never came. When I finally cancelled the order, they thanked me instead of apologizing. If you don’t know how to serve your customers, just close down the business for everyone’s sake!

If you like waiting over two hours only for them to call and make excuses on why the food hasn’t even left the restaurant then this is the place for you! Horrible service and communication. I’d like to think of myself as a pretty understanding customer and not one to write negative reviews but this restaurant absolutely deserves one. I don’t understand how businesses like this even exist. People need to boycott this place and put it out of business so a good restaurant with good customer service can take its place!

What’s the point of offering groupon if you won’t treat your customers the right way? Upon mentioning you have a groupon, their attitude towards you will change to coldness and make you feel so unwelcomed. I wasted 20 mins of my life waiting for the food just so that I don’t waste my groupon value. The female owner will literally tell the sushi chef to cut down on the ingredients. Yelling it out from the register to «Stop!» in korean when he is trying to put avocado on your specialty roll. Then she would go over to him and check the roll. Craziness! To the old female owner: if you were to say that to your hired sushi chef, don’t yell it out. Do some kind of a sign language and dont make it so obvious to customers at least. Giving 2 stars for the rolls only. Me and my acquaintances will never visit that place again!

Cheap, cheerful Japanese and Korean offerings, been here a few times while visiting NYC for lunch and dinner — have tried the teriyaki tofu, California rolls, dumplings and the yummy roll(tempura prawn sushi topped with avocado and a sweet soy sauce), very tasty. Generally very few staff on, looks like a family operation, but can’t fault the service or quality of food.

Stumbled on the place while shopping in Bryant park. Quiet and empty. Sushi was fresh, place was clean, service was nice food came quick. Bought us a beer back, which I always appreciate.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. — Didn’t serve water — was rude — fish tasted like it was two weeks old — large Kani salad was small — ordered a dragon roll, eel was almost indistinguishable — one guest ordered egg bowl and they reheated it in a microwave

One of the best Korean restaurants near Time Square. I ran into this store today, and had a great Teriyaki :)

Remembered to take a picture of the rice burger before I ate it this time! Again, really good and filling. I’d recommend the beef rice burger. ^^

My boyfriend and I needed a bathroom break but had to be customers, so we ordered a rainbow roll. Standard Asian food place. Nothing to rave about and nothing particularly great about it, but considering it was one of the only places open on NYE without a ridiculous cover charge, we couldn’t complain.

Don’t eat here. This review is based on a carry out order of sushi rolls. Soy sauce was completely watered down(basically just brown water) and sushi rolls were filled on inside and outside with extra rice to hide the fact that the pieces of fish were very small. Ingredients themselves did not seem fresh. Cheap and did not taste good.

This place goes by several names. On my receipt, it says Sushi & Bento Box. On my credit card slip, it goes by Do Si Rak. On Unilocal,it goes by Sushi & Deli Box. Whatever you want to call it, it’s a decent place for lunch and a quick place to go to for dinner. The place is fairly authentic and you do get a good value here. The staff is friendly. I ordered the budae jjigae and the beef udon soup. The budae jjigae was a bit disappointing. I came here for dinner so I’m not sure if they ran out of ingredients, but there was no spam or sausage in there. That’s what makes a budae jjigae for me. A budae jjigae without spam and sausage is like having a girlfriend that’s celibate. It’s nice and all, but you kind of wonder ‘what’s the point?‘ However, the udon soup was good. The broth was delicious and the portions were hearty for the price. If you stick with the classics like udon and bibimbap, you won’t be disappointed. If you come here thinking that this is a sushi restaurant, you will probably be disappointed. I think the sushi here is pretty decent for this type of establishment, but it’s all about expectations — keep that in check and you’ll be fine.

This place is adorable with pretty authentic Japanese/Korean food. There’s a sushi counter, ramen bowls, sushi made fresh or to go, spicy Korean dishes, and even typical New York subs is none of it interests you. You’ll end up spending about 8 – 11 $ here if you get a normal sized portion of decent food. It’s DELICIOUS and totally worth it though! Staff is also super friendly! One of my favs!

Had a sushi craving. their selection for takeout is pretty basic. I got the spicy salmon roll for $ 5.72 total. Also got the seaweed salad which was ~$ 2.50. Prices for the other rolls were between 5.50−11. There are 9 seats by the sushi bar if you eat in. Semi-small sized place. Extremely casual. Pretty much a get in get out kinda place. The cashier was extremely friendly! She asked me about my last name and its origins haha :-P she put a smile on my face.

Don’t get the fried dumplings here(I don’t remember them having steamed ones, which I generally prefer). They’re very small, flavorless and the skin is much too thick to be an enjoyable dumpling. You’re better off getting dumplings as a fast-food Chinese take-out type of place and I NEVER recommend those… lol. The sushi/sashimi stuff is pretty good though if you go before 2pm and their deli stuff is your pretty good, yet average, sandwich offerings and such. But their bread it really good… I know that sounds weird, but I’ve also only been here twice and it is what it is. Go here for deli stuff, sushi/sashimi if you’re craving it badly and don’t get the dumplings.
