A solid local pizzeria. Their slices and pies never disappoint. I also love their baked ziti. Fast delivery!

We were visiting the vet with our pups and walked out to find food and this was a great slice of pizza on the go! Did not go in so have no idea what its like to sit and eat there but was a nice treat.

How on earth the pizza joint down the block stays in business is beyond me. I made the mistake of visiting that pizza place, which will remain nameless in this review, last time I was staying on the Upper East Side. I grabbed a couple of slices from Sutton last week and it is the epitome of fantastic NY slices. This is my new go to pizza joint on the UES!!!

The single worst delivery experience I’ve ever had in NY. Delivered to the wrong apartment. Then they yelled at me when I called to complain that the delivery wasn’t here after close to 2 hours. They told me that they would call the police and charge me for the bill and for his time. Life is way too short.

It’s a very casual place. The owner is very nice and I saw him make the pizzas himself on the counter. I love this authentic feel. The slices are rather large, with the cheese under $ 3. The pepperoni was $ 3.75. They had a bunch of other options but they were out. In addition they had gyros on the menu as well as calzones, rolls, and pasta. Delicious! Hits the spot. They put it back in the oven prior to serving the slice. It’s cash only.

Stopped in for a quick(plain) slice last night. Pizza’s are huge making the size of the slice larger than normal I’d say. Crust was ok but something was off with the sauce. Just not my preference. Will probably not be back, but would reccomend if your in the area and looking for drunk pizza. Also note: they do not accept credit cards. CASHONLY.

These guys are very nice and they do some of the best pizza in NYC arguably. Best on a Friday or Saturday night when they are pumping out fresh pies. Any time the pizza is fresh its amazing. The only reason it doesn’t get 5 starts from me is because its a small shop so I guess they get less business and so sometimes the pizza isn’t so fresh and then it is just very much ok.

My fiancé is obsessed with their pizza! I’m not big on pizza but they seriously have a great slice, it has the perfect amount of sauce and cheese! The cheese is real cheese and you can taste the difference. Anytime we walk past this place we stop in to grab a slice while walking home.

The older gentlemen, presumably the owner was so nice. Glad they hear up the pizza. Huge slices but wish it had more sauce. I’m a saucy person but I guess NY pizza ain’t supposed to have a ton of sauce?

I was very hungry and in the neighborhood; craving pizza. I saw this place and walked in to check it out. I ordered a slice of their white pizza — DELICIOUS! My review is only based on that one slice. The staff was very nice and helpful. It is a small space — there’s a TV and a few tables in the far back of the store. Not necessarily a place I would want to sit and hang out; but I did sit to eat my slice. They bring the slice to your table after they warm it up. Great service and amazing pizza. I would go again! The ambiance/store interior leaves something to be desired — which is why I didn’t give that 5th star.

Great pizza shop. The pizza is fresh and the perfect balance of dough cheese and sauce. The guys are pretty cool. They love baseball talk and they are really down to earth.

Good pizza. Not phenomenal. I asked for a veggie pizza without green peppers and they did deliver that. However, I called at 1:50, they said they would have it delivered in 30 – 45. At 3:10 still not there and I called and they said it would be another 10 minutes. Finally got the pizza 1 hour and 40 minutes after I ordered and the large is kinda small. Fine tasting pizza, took a long time.

This place has great pizza and their customer service is really great. They also deliver — for free! The only reason why this place is not getting 5 stars is because they only accept cash, which was really inconvenient. However, I’ll be back!

I used to eat here regularly, not because I liked it but rather simply because it was the closest pizza place to my apartment and I was too lazy to walk 4 blocks to a better one. The slices are good, but nothing spectacular. If you’re ordering a plain slice the price is pretty much in line with the average in the area, but all of their toppings tend to be overpriced relative to other local spots. Their dinners are pretty weak as well, and very overpriced. There are much tastier and cheaper options in the area if you’re looking for some baked ziti or chicken parm. My biggest problem with this place though has always been the service. All of the guys here are always in a bad mood(2 older guys, 1 younger guy). They’re much friendlier to female customers, but if you’re just a guy coming in for a slice they pretty much act like you’re interrupting them and making them go out of their way to sell you a slice of pizza. There are a few new places that have opened in the last couple of years very close by so even though I’m still as lazy as I used to be I hardly ever come in here anymore, and whenever I do those same rude faces remind me why I shouldn’t even bother.

This is by far my favorite cheese pizza in New York. I stumbled upon this place by chance and wasn’t expecting much when I saw how small it was. I decided to be brave and give it try. I am so glad I did! It’s cheap($ 2-$ 3 a slice), fast, and unforgettable. Every pizza place I tried after Sutton pizza just didn’t compare. They have bottle beer, no tap but there bottle selection is okay considering the size of the place. Some seating in the back. The staff will gladly wipe off a table if you ask. This place is busy on the weekend so it’s hard to get a spot but it’s worth it to go and get take away. I can’t wait to go back!

I’ve lived on the U.E.S. since the last Century and this place has been around even longer than that! I usually stop by and get one of their generous slices, which are perfect, IMHO. Last night my boyfriend and I decided to get a whole pie and it was the best pizza we’ve had in a long time — we ordered a large pizza pie(8 slices) — hoping to have slices leftover for breakfast — but we devoured most of the pie and a bottle of wine in one sitting. After a couple of hours we shoved the last two slices into our faces and can’t wait until the next time we order from Sutton. Never have tried any of the pasta dishes, but we’re curious about the Chicken Parm. The guys behind the counter are the best and after a lifetime of «cash only» they are now on Seamless and that’s a thumbs up for everybody!
