One of the few places like this that will offer a teacher discount if you remember to bring your ID Coffees and teas are good, food ok and service very efficient. Several other locations all of equal quality!

Went on NYE day. Plenty of room but most importantly the staff was cordial and friendly. The exact opposite of my usual New York coffee experiences. 5 stars!

This location wouldn’t take my Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf gift card for payment! How ridiculous! The rep told me this is the only location that they don’t accept their chain gift card. Is this legal? I still don’t get why…

The décor is nice and a good attempt to grab market share from the competition next door. The coffee taste average but cost the same as the competition. Maybe they should lower their margins so their occupancy will have a higher fill ratio than the comp. I still chose to run in and grab a cup of Joe to go when I don’t want to deal with a line so the spill over effect theory is alive and well.

This place definitely had enough space and I actually liked the fact that their table had real beans underneath the glass, so self-explanatory! However their caffe latte was a bit let me down given the lack of flavor. To be honest, I would rather go to Starbucks to pick up a small latte… not a bad try though, at least it told me I probably should try their tea rather than coffee!

The location was empty except from two other customers. I came in and the two employees behind the bar didn’t greet me, not even after I said hi, just confused faces after asking how they were doing. They barely reacted to my questions. If I wouldn’t know better I’d think they are robots. The café latte with soy milk was good — strong and hot. I would come back for the coffee, but to receive a good customer experience? Not really…

I asked for a receipt and the staff gives me an attitude. You could have asked me if I needed a receipt in the first place to save the trouble but you just went ahead and didn’t give me one. The coffee was good so two stars…

Noooooo. The TV screen menu with the«iced blendeds» was broken, so I missed out on that. Seems weird to not advertise your signature drink at all? It took so long for a black iced coffee to come out. I wanted to get a pump of hazelnut but apparently it only comes in powder form, which sounds terrible.

The two stars are mainly for the men of the establishment who excel in customer service and always make my chai latte perfect! My biggest issue is the amount of time it takes for the chatty women to take orders. They consistently talk amongst themselves about highly personal matters and even while taking orders pay very little attention. I said«large hot chai latte» 3x and the cashier who was chatting with her coworker still asked me if I wanted a «iced regular chai».

Came in here yesterday for an afternoon pick me up and since it was my first time in a Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf I decided I would take some extra time to look at the menu. Boy was that a mistake. When the employee saw that I wasn’t ready, she disappeared, and although it still took me about a minute to decide, she and another employee stayed in the corner making themselves look busy for another FIVE minutes, the amount of time it should’ve taken me to be in and out of there. Once I ordered and paid for my very simple drink, an iced Americano, I proceeded to wait for an additional 5 minutes. I’m sorry, but it should just not take that long to order, pay for and receive an Americano. It’s a simple drink with no syrups, sweeteners or anything nonsensical. The drink was fine and their Americano was less burned tasting than I would’ve gotten across the street at Starbucks, but the service was way too slow. I’d hate to be in this place during a weekday morning rush! Three stars for the good location and solid drink. They better up the ante on their service with all of the other coffee shops literally steps away though.

I love that if I’m not doing takeout, they serve my cappuccino in a real mug. And it’s a good capp, at that! Haven’t ever eaten anything at a Coffee Bean & Tea leaf, but I’ve found consistently good cappuccino at their Village, midtown, and UWS locations.

Better then other chain coffee shops in the area. Drip coffee is better then just drinkable, but not something you would get form a uppity coffee joint. All of their speciality drinks are done with their brand of flavoring powders. Not really sure how I feel about this, it really just looks like everything is a drink from a mix. However, they do have lots of «no added sugar» drinks which is nice. Overall, a solid go to. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here, but I surly would stop in if walking by(which I do often).

I have enjoyed Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf locations throughout Los Angeles and was excited to see them open one by my work. Until I went in. The staff here, is so rude. Incredibly rude. Not the cool or clever sort of New York rude that might make you laugh, but stupid, mean rude. I’ve tried a few times. I’ve met with the same dismal attitude, though different servers. Seriously, there are plenty of other places in the neighborhood to get good coffee without some unhappy server sneering at you. Sad, but true.

The staff are so loud that I can’t concentrate, and there is no internet. I really needed a place to sit and study, and this place has been a waste of money.

If it weren’t for the dark chocolate latte, I wouldn’t come in here. The employees are rude and could care less about what you need. Seriously, turn that scowl into a smile and maybe the Starbucks down the street will get some competition. Oh and the prejudice remark about us bringing other products in here was uncalled for. Your country?! I served our country for that freedom of speech of yours! So how about showing some respect!

Matcha Green Tea Latte. I just can’t get the same one anywhere else! Unfortunately, there is no CBTL near me at work, but this location is conveniently located near the 7th Ave train station and it’s about a 15 – 20 minute stroll to work, which is not bad on a breezy sunny day. This place is also across the street from David Letterman’s show and Pie Face. This means I can pick up a cup of coffee and then pick up some pie for lunch. Yes — I do plan these things out. CBTL is working on a rewards program similar in NY because it seems like the program they have right now is only for CA. They are now using this app card, but I don’t think it’s their true rewards program. Hopefully, they will establish one in NY soon!

This is a new location and it’s a small one. They have a few seats, but it’s just not as big as the other Coffee Bean’s in the City. While it is close to my office, they aren’t my favorite location. The drinks are decent every time, but they’re pretty slow there. Slower than the usual slow of Coffee Bean… Most of the time they’re friendly and the drinks are reliable, but if they could only make my drink a little faster, I’d be a much happier person.

Not a bad coffee shop. This place just opened a little over a week ago I think. I guess the staff attempt to be friendly by greeting in unison, literally every customer that walks through the door. It comes across as contrived so hopefully they tire of it soon haha. Everything’s shiny and new. Love the water dispenser at the condiment bar with round ice cubes. Fancy!
