Called a million times and never got anyone. I couldn’t leave a message.

If there was a zero I would give it a zero.
I bought a voucher through Groupon in 2011. I have made several calls to this merchant and have had no one every pick up the phone or call back (even after the voucher expired). Now the Groupon has expired and I am left with a voucher to nowhere. There are other such deals which have more ethics than this merchant and Groupon.
So bizarre

I was stupid enough to buy more services after 1^st «living social deal» experience when it was impossible to locate the place and make original appointment. as of today i still have 4 sessions unused. no one ever returns my calls (4 different #s)

I must say that the coconut oil rub was relaxing and the pod itself was nice. HOWEVER, the lady left me in there for about 50 minutes and didnt return as fast as she said (25 minutes). I purchased a package with groupon and brought to her attention that she had missed some of the things that were «included», as mentioned on the website AND groupon. She said she did not know and refused to give me what I paid for. I am UNSATISFIED with the services. In addition, there was only one person there, herself. So she left me to answer doors and such. Unprofessional.

I suspected something right after I clicked that «buy» on one of those daily deal sites where I got the $ 99 certificate. Seems to be the only way they are getting clients, not sure how much repeat business they have. But since it was already purchased, I went for it.
I have nothing against the woman who worked there and helped me but the whole idea of the pod spa is nothing but snake oil.
First, I got an oil rub down. Not it’s not a massage, it’s just oil rubbed on you. Then the woman applied what felt to me a pretty cheap mask and then I was off to the pod machine. I think the only «benefit» of that machine is water loss if you are overweight, because you will sweat some out. I actually just ended up horribly dehydrated, because it was a warm summer day and she gave me just half a cup of water when I was done. Yes, the whole oxygen blowing on my face is very stupid. It has no effect. And then she put «collagen» cream on my eyes and lips. And the whole experience felt very bland, folks have already described the décor and the set up and they are 100% accurate.
For the «water weight» loss, if that’s what you are after, go to a sauna. There are plenty of russian, korean and similar spas around (even your gym might have one). While there get a massage. Or get one in Chinatown afterwards. You will end up spending the same $ 100 or so and you will actually get real treatments that have a positive impact on your body and health.

It has been a while since I have been here but i was greeted as if it was yesterday. Very relaxing and therapeutic. I have a series of appointments due to a great Groupon special that I am using to get ready for an event. I can definitely feel the difference.

So, I went to the pod spa today. It’s probably not all that it that it claims, but overall it’s a nice relaxing experience. They def should explain everything prior to you going in, otherwise you feel kind of clueless.

Not the best experience. The Pod’s are interesting though but the massage and the facial were very dull and disappointing. It’s all the rage in Japan though.

I feel like I got scammed. What a waste of time and money. It was not relaxing, in fact I actually found the Pod to be uncomfortable being in this tight capsule for such a long period of time. I wanted to get out of there but I figured I had already paid for it so I stayed. All it does is make you sweat. PLEASE don’t waste your time and your money like I did. Use the money to sign up for a gym or a get real nice massage.

I get the sads when I am giving a business 1 star, esp when I know its owned by 1 person and not a corporation. But in this case, its deserved…
I, like everyone else, bought the $ 99 deal on *insert daily deal site here* and called to schedule my appt. I asked if there was anything I should do to prepare for my appt, was told no, just come.
I arrived at quarter to 7 for a 7pm appt, after running around the UES because their address on Foursquare was wrong. I didn’t have to wait though, but was still immediately disappointed. lets just say the pictures on their website are not of the place I was at. Either its another location or straight off the internet, but the place I went looked like something out of a creepy John Malcovich film. Cheap furniture with nothing on the walls but a few of those small circle mirrors from ikea.
I am brought into a room with a massage table next to the pod, told to disrobe down to my undies and lie tummy down. I have nothing to put over me, and I am laying on a towel with my face touching a disposable sheet (that I later watched her NOT change
after I got off the table ew omg omg my MOUTH touched that)
anyways, the coconut oil rubdown was ok, not bad but not good either. then she takes one of those drugstore make up remover cloths and wipes face with it, and uses a q tip to apply some mask that she has in a little dixie cup. scrape, scrape, scrape. then i am asked to lay and relax for 10 mins. There is no music playing, no candles giving me ambiance, just one light on a dimmer, the constant whirrrr of the pod. then she leaves the room, grabs her cell phone, and goes into the room next to me and flips on the light and has a 4 – 5 minute convo on the phone. normally not an issue except the only thing between me and that room is a curtain on a pole that neither reaches the top of the ceiling or bottom of the floor. so their goes my relaxation time.
then i am put in the pod, laying on the same towel i was on before in my undies. the whole pod process was ok, except again the facial process is so low budget. she adds a new mixture to my face without taking the other off, and in the meantime through a wipe of my hand i discovered i still had makeup on under this mask. that one is applied with a popsicle stick in another dixie cup
when its over im sweating and ask for a towel to dry off with before i put my clothes on, she gestures to the towel i had been laying on in the pod, soaked in sweat. um, no. also, i wish when i had called to make my appt and asked if i needed to prepare she said yes bring new underwear, because wearing wet undies all the way home in january zapped any remaining joy i felt from this experience.
i am brought to a public restroom and told to rinse my face with water, where i discover all my eye make up was still on and now is running down my face, lovely. i come back and some other popsicle stick is dipped into some lotion and rubbed on. then she asked me for gratuity.
end of experience.

I bought the spa package through Groupon, for $ 99, you get a one-​hour pod-​treatment spa package and a $ 50 gift certificate to use for future treatment (a $ 400 total value). I was in the actual pod for maybe 30 minutes, not one hour, I could do a better facial myself at home. I was very disappointed. They should put on their website: NO shower, no bathroom. Bathroom is across the hall, locked, and used by everyone on floor. Treatment table felt like it would collapse with the smallest amount of pressure. When I was told to change my clothes, that I could keep my underwear on, there was no were to put my clothes, nor a place to sit, except maybe on their radiator, no trash bin. After the rubber glove massage oil treatment, and the woman’s long hair dangling and grazing my body, this really set the tone for the hour. After I got wrapped in saran wrap, she slipped on paper slippers, then told me to lay in the pod. The pod part was actually pretty interesting. The facial was horrendous — I could dab on cream on my face, wipe it off and blow oxygen on my own face. The worst was the pod was over, I am sweating, gross she tells me to wipe myself off with the already wet towel, get dressed and meet her in reception for a paper cup full of water. Then she walked me across the hall to use the bathroom. I came back, she put on any kind of moisturizer and had the nerve to ask me if I liked the treatment and if I would come back!
I asked her about the $ 50 gift certificate and the collagen mask, her response was that the «owner» wasn’t in and that she would email it to me. I know I will never see that.
No shower, no bathroom, no trash bins, tissues, such a let down. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Lame. Not worth the time or $. I’m pretty sure that neither of the two people in there have ever been to a spa or gotten a facial or a massage.
Facials are not just air blowing in your face, massages are not spraying cold oil on you and rubbing it in with rubber gloves on. A body wrap is more than just saran wrap. Nothing at all tranquil or nice about the experience. The Pod was interesting… not sure it did anything but make you sweat. The best finishing touch was going down the hallway to a dimly lit bathroom to wash your own face since there was still crusted face mask on there…
They seemed unprepared and kind of just winging this whole «spa» thing.

Weird and total waste of time and $.
Go pay $ 12 for a 10min chair massage at a nail salon, do a mask at home and sit in your gyms sauna for a ½ hour instead.

Not recommend it. I regret to say my co workers thought it was not bad and purchased me another one…

I redeemed my voucher on ¹²⁄₁₄. I thought I was going to get a real facial, not just oxygen blown on to my face and called oxygen facial. I called today to find out where is my giftcard and I was told it’s broken down to 4 $ 25 giftcards good for 4 treatments. I think the deal explanation is a quite misleading. I’m not particularly happy with the treatment so I was not planning to return so all in all it’s a waste of money and not a deal but a rip-​off.

No it was not mentioned anywhere in the Right Deal that it was 4 $ 25 certificates. Just $ 100 certificates.

We arrived early to the spa (which was totally empty and we weren’t sure if we were at the right place), but the woman did not appear ready for us at all so we had to wait for at least 20 minutes, which is fine. I did the facial first, and my friend did the pod first. The facial was okay; it was freezing in the room so it was hard to enjoy. The lady left the room do to the pod for my friend so I never had a chance to tell her it was too cold. My face did feel a little firmer after, but not much else.
When we switched and I went to the pod, it was enjoyable for the most part but I really don’t think it did anything. I thought it was entirely too short — 15 – 20 minutes max? And after I got out of the pod and my friend and I talked about our experience, I realized that I was never offered a body wrap. I was just lying in the pod with a towel in my underwear. However, the body wrap my friend received was simply saran wrap straight out of the box.
We did both receive the spurts of oxygen during the Pod treatment, which did provide relief because it was so hot in the pod, but not much else than air blowing on my face. And I don’t think either of us received the Eye & Lip Collagen treatment.
We both left the appointment confused and wondering if we received what we were supposed to receive. The whole thing felt very rushed.
Also — as others said, there is nowhere to shower, just a bathroom down the hall to wash your face. But we wore workout clothes and went straight home so it didn’t really bother me, but might bother others.
We definitely did not get the Free Collagen Therapy Night Pack nor did we receive the $ 100 in gift cards. The woman advised we would receive the gift cards via email, but that has yet to happen (our appointment was in September).
Overall, disappointed. But understand that spas and other services really don’t make much money from these deal websites, but if that’s the case, then you should change what you offer to make it more realistic.

This was a complete waste of my money.

The «facial» isn’t a facial — just a mask.
The pod where you lay in — you’re there for about 20 min — left alone in a small office room.
It’s more like a sauna.
I didn’t feel anything after, no improvement on anything, just a complete waste of money.
Also, was supposed to get $ 50 gift certificate, didn’t receive that either.
I was waiting for about ½ hr before she realized she had people waiting for her. She apologized and said she would up the gift certificate to $ 100 for the wait.
Didn’t get anything, and I wouldn’t go back anyway.

This place is awesome! Amy the owner is very knowledgeable and full of energy. She was very helpful in explaining the whole process and making the entire experience comfortable. The spa is located in a really lovely space that is shared by a few other practitioners. Everything is brand new and very luxe. The pod is a trip. It feels like something from the future! Laying in the pod feels like a warm day at the beach. It is so soothing and all the oxygen makes you feel a little euphoric. The facial she gives you is great and the collagen mask really made my lips and eye area look much younger. After the treatment my skin looked and felt amazing. I am going to wear a cute little dress out on the town tonight and show of my beautiful skin! I would totally recommend this as a fun alternative to your typical day at the spa.

I purchased the deal on living social and based on the description that NASA approves this technology… i got to try it… making an appointment was easy, one phone call and it’s done… she gave me a lot of choices for the day and time
It’s in an office building, and I have no idea which floor the Pod Spa is on!?! The security guy told me go on to the 4^th floor. and when i got there. i was like… umm…it’s nice. don’t get me wrong. but no where it says the Pod Spa on the door or entrance… it’s a medical office. kinda upscale one since there’s sofa and pretty furniture.
I walked in and asked the receptionist if this is the Pod Spa. and she was like. yes everyone’s been asking her. why not put a sign up?! wink wink!
she gave me a form to fill out and i waited for less than 2 minutes. a woman came up to me and asked me to follow her…
she led me into a room. that smells… like…um…honey & coconut… i’m not into sweet scents… and the room feels kinda warm… so i’m not into this first part… but i soon find out why the room smells like that
she gave me towels and disposable underwear to change into and told me i’ve got to take everything off… everything…okie dokie… for some reason. after she gave me the towel… she’s not stepping out… so i finally asked… am i suppose to change in this room?! then she realize she will leave me alone to change and stepped out… i’m just not comfortable getting undressed in front of others…
I changed and lay on the Pod. I guess… that’s what i should call them?
she got back and explained that by the time i finish i would have ran 6 miles and burned 400 calories and my skin is going to feel tight! Sounds fabulous to me…
She first misted my arms and legs with a splash of coconut oil! hint — coconut scent! and she asked if i would like to wrap my thighs. i said sure if it comes with the package… and it did.
everythings ready and she turned the machine on! it’s like sleeping in a sauna bed but better, since there’s cool air blowing in ur face, so ur body’s hot and ur head is clear! she put goggles on me and placed the collagen lip and eye mask on me and let me be for a little while…
it’s pretty hot and u can’t really fall asleep inside the pod… and it vibrates. but nothing close to massage or anything.
I lost track of time but probably around 20 minutes or so, she came back to the room and took the masks off me and applied the oxygen/​co2 masks on me, it’s cool and refreshing. but it’s no facial. it’s just a mask… and there’s nothing like cleansing ur face prior to putting the mask on you… i think she also put the honey cream on me at the same time… since that’s when i smelled it, she didn’t tie my hair back so my hair is always in the way when she applied the mask… not so great… i don’t think u can really call this a facial. if there’s no cleansing… i mean… u put some cream and mask on me… is that a facial already?!
basically she let the masks sit on my face again… and later on came back in and turned the machine to start cooling down and let the room again… so finally… some cool air… yes i’m feeling the heat now…
she got back in another 10 – 15 mins i think, wiped the mask off my face and told me i’m can get changed! that’s it… my entire experience… she did mentioned some promotions and discounted prices for future visits and she left the room for me to change
I changed. and now i’m really hot… and kinda sticky since she misted oil on me… so i was hoping for a quick shower… but since this is more like a medical office. so there’s only a restroom i can use after the treatment… and it took me quite some time in the ladies room to try to wipe my arms and legs…
she didn’t try to sell me again on the packages which i was kinda expecting her to do, she just wished me well and said i can call anytime if i want to come back again… that i think is kinda cool, i hate those ppl that wants to keep selling and selling
Overall, it’s pleasant, and i finally get to try out this space ship like POD which sounded too cool to me… but… the no shower after treatment thing kinda suck… seriously i’m a little sweaty after this and there’s no place to freshen up? it’s an interesting experience and i feel fine afterwards… but there’s no amazing in this treatment… i think i did lose some water weight since i slept in a sauna bed for abt 40 mins…

I can’t believe how good I feel after only a few treatments. My skin feels rejuvenated and I feel healthier…
I recommend this treatment highly…
And such a warm and kind staff to assist…
