I’ve been seeing her for nearly 8 months now for laser hair removal. First off, I highly recommend the full body package she offers, especially if you are interested in several large body parts, because it’s cost effective! Secondly, you definitely feel taken care of by Jhoanny. I know that she wants her clients to see results but also takes necessary precautions to make sure they’re getting safe treatment, which I really appreciate. She’s also a very warm and caring person with whom you can feel comfortable with something as intimidating and intimate as laser hair removal.

Jhoanny is amazing! I’ve been going to her for over 2 years for laser hair removal. I’ve seen major results. I’ve also gotten chemical peels, facials, and nicrodermabrasion. She’s great with everything. She also got me started on a vitamin A regimen which I can’t live without or my skin starts to feel clogged. Jhoanny is really warm and friendly, maybe because I’ve been going there for so long she’s turned into a friend. No matter what you go to her for she can’t let you leave until she’s extracted any buggers on your face. She also gives honest opinions on what will work and what will not work for your skin. I can’t recommend her more for her expertise, professionalism, and the great results I’ve experienced with any service I’ve received from her.

I have been to see Jhoanny twice now and frankly am blown away. She is exceptionally competent, manages expectations extremely well about what’s coming, and clearly honestly cares about her clients and the quality of her services. The day after my first visit she called me just to make sure I was OK and to see if I had questions about my skin or the treatment. Who does that these days? I have to say that in spite of my years, I really have had limited facial experience — a few visits to nice hotel spas that have relaxing hours and no lasting results. With Jhoanny, it is all about results, and I must say they are real. I have been blessed with great skin but at some point we all start to feel we can use a little help to maintain it. The first time, I was visiting from the west coast and had a bit of time and thought why not check out someone who has great reviews on Unilocal?I really liked what people wrote. I had no idea it would be such a serious undertaking. She has almost 20 years of experience mostly working in the offices of plastic surgeons — she used laser skin tightening both times which greatly improved things — particularly my neck, microdermabrasion the first time, and photo facial for sun damage the second time — all is doing as promised, really! It is a very customized treatment based on what she sees will help the client. Just as a reality check I went to a top medical spa where I live in San Francisco, and I don’t think the experience was even in the same league — so I came back and will again each time I’m in NY. Jhoanny is someone who is so on top of her game and clearly such a good person at the same time, I really want to see her succeed.

I came to Manhattan Skin and Laser because it is one of the limited places that offers Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) in New York City. I found out about CIT through the skin care line Environs, and decided that it may be the answer to my hideous stretch marks on my buttocks. Johanny, the owner, was informative, polite, personable, and professional and gave me the best treatments.
Johanny carried out six treatments for me and each treatment was performed with care and enthusiasm. After being numbed with a topical anesthetic cream, which Johanny would allow to work for at least 30 – 40 mins prior to the CIT, she used a CIT Roll on my butt. CIT involves tiny needles on a roller puncturing your epidermis to induce the production of collagen over the healing period post puncture. The treatment can take a min or so, depending on your body part and it can be uncomfortable at first, or just the thought, but if you’re completely numb you should not feel a thing.
I had laser treatment at SKINNY which did nothing for me. There wasn’t a visible difference at all, and they lost my pictures too.
I have never seen my butt looking this good for years and years! The appearance of the stretch marks has dramatically reduced; I had them since my teens! Being of Indian descent my skin is medium dark and the stretch marks really stood out. My butt also looks fuller and smoother. I’m really happy with the results! So all in all I would say this has been the best spend money in a long time and I highly recommend Manhattan Skin and laser for your stretch marks, don’t be fooled by lasers for stretch marks, especially if you have darker skin. I think CIT is the best treatment that’s been invented for stretch marks or sagging skin, and I don’t need pictures to prove it, because I look at my «new» butt every day and love it!

Went for a facial during spa week. Easy availability (on a Sunday). I was glad to get Johanny, as ppl gave her great reviews. I really enjoyed my facial. I’ve gotten plenty of them– cheap, expensive & in between. Johanny was the 2^nd person ever to properly use the steam machine… not up my nose, not on just one side of my face, not super close so that my face is burning & I have to move my face away. It was just right, & I was able to tolerate it the full time & actually enjoy the facial. Her extractions were very thorough. I enjoyed the products she used. I would come back for a facial.
They have an unlimited microdermabrasion package for $ 550 for a year! which I MUST buy! This is a steal considering that, on avg, a spa wants to charge $ 100 for one micro session… ridiculous!
Not sure about their laser removal machine. I’ve gotten great results in 4 separate areas from the candela yag, which they don’t have, so I am hesitant to entertain anything but. Overall, I would recommend the spa, & I’m coming back for my micro package :)

After threating about my lines my friend recommended Manhattan skin and lazer as alternative to botox and surgery.
I came in and she suggested a non evasive microdermic ebrassion and a vitamin infused facial.
Basically broken down they vacum your skin removing the dead layer then apply a heavy duty face mask connected to high doses of vitamin A.
The result is a fresh looking rejuvenated glow you haven’t seen in years. Its not the same as botox but it def makes you look fresher .
I am so happy I’m going to try collagen induction therapy. Stand by for an update. This is quite a new technic so lets give it a whirl .
The place is friendly, clean and the young lady knows her stuff when I asked her to break it down.

Been coming here now for 10 months and have to say what a difference. I have tried various treatments from collagen induction to skin peels and the results are amazing. My skin looks younger and fresher.
Jhoanny is a real professional who really cares about your skin and the end result you are looking for.
I would and have totally recommended her to others.
I would suggest buying a package of treatments as it works out cheaper and you will get the results you are looking for.

Great service, punctual and very accommodating to last minute changes.
I wish I could last longer than 10minutes with that laser but it’s just way too strong. I’m sure if I muster up the courage she would zap away.

I bought an Amazon deal for six laser hair removal sessions. Jhoanny has been great — very professional, and the treatment is quick and relatively painless. The office is beautiful and clean. I have had two sessions so far and have been very happy with the results.

Well, I made the right move. The office was very clean and professional. The actual treatment was hardly painful and I was just slightly red in the area I had treated for less than an hour. The asthetician, Jhoanny, answered all my questions and has a lot of experience in laser hair removal so I felt I was in good hands. I would recommend this place to all my friends.
