Nice lunch or dinner option if you or a loved one is visiting or staying at CUMC. The food is a little better than the cafeteria(which isn’t saying much), however here you get served at your table like a regular restaurant. A couple of the tables have amazing views of the river and the GWB, very nice. Doesn’t have the negatives about eating at the cafeteria, i.e. crowded, not enough places to sit or stand, etc… I had the tomato, mozzarella, pesto sandwich and wedding soup pre fix lunch for $ 14. Both were good, service was quick and friendly. They bring a bag with a couple cookies in it with your bill. Nice touch. One thing to add here and yes I realize this is a hospital, but it would be great to be able to get a glass of wine with your meal. Located on the 9th floor of the Milstein Hospital. Look for the small signs and nice aromas to get to the restaurant.

This was a nice change of scenery for hospitalized patients and their families. Beautiful fully renovated floor with great view of the Hudson although we were seated in the back with mostly buildings to observe. The service was a bit slow. The food was mediocre. We ordered the marguerita pizza that was soggy and the cavatappi in sausage ragu that was very chewy. The fries were not bad — twice fried and seasoned. Not a place to go for the food but it is nice to have a place that a patient and his/her family can go to have some semblance of normalcy.

Visiting friends/loved ones in the hospital is almost never a pleasant experience(with the exception of a birth) however, having somewhere like Windows to retreat to is a real bonus. The views are great(GW Bridge and NJ in the distance) and take you away from it all. The lobster truffle Mac & cheese hits the spot. Comfort food at its finest! The big hits in our group were the street vendor sandwich, Kobe burger and mezze(dips) plate. The food was always on point and fresh. Added bonus: when the restaurant isn’t open(on the weekends), you can still order«take out». It’s nice to have a little bit of normalcy when things are out of whack and the new Chef makes sure that things are tasty, diverse and fresh. Thanks for making our stay a little easier!

Best food ever. Being a patient is never fun however looking forward to 3 gourmet meals is the highlight of the day. We look forward to visiting the restaurant with friends after discharge.

Ok, so, this is not a restaurant that you ever want to be eating at. There’s really only two disturbing set of circumstances under which you would find yourself here: 1) you are sick, but not so much that you couldn’t make your way across the hospital hallways just to have a different view(through the windows, you can see the Hudson and the GW Bridge) just to have a different view for lunch or dinner(as long as you’re done before 7:00 pm) or 2) you are visiting a patient in the hospital and you want somewhere convenient with somewhat better food than the second floor cafeteria to eat in, or the food cart at the corner of Fort Washington and Haven… Service is present but rough – I think they have trainees. A couple things aren’t bad; the Mediterranean appetizer platter — the hummus and baba ghanoush are ok; the salads aren’t half bad either — the roasted beets with chevre actually tasty. The ice tea is good(they don’t serve it with real sugar; you have to ask); sadly, the pizzas are soggy — the cavatelli pasta is alright; the turkey and brie on a croissant is alright too. The bento box is a bit too salty but they try. Hey, it’s better than the cafeteria experience. Not, in most cases, if you are eating in a hospital, that you’ll actually notice. But sometimes, some light, sun, and just a different venue help. Under the circumstances, three stars is a win for this place.
