Wireless One Communications

This place is a few blocks from my apartment and I stopped in when I wanted to switch my phone Service to Verizon. Mike was super helpful! There wasn’t much of a wait like there is at larger retail stores. I hadn’t backed up my old iPhone properly before it broke and he told me to bring my macbook in and showed me how to make sure that all my info got moved over to my new iPhone. Will definitely be back when I need to upgrade.

I just happen to walk into this store in May. I had been with Sprint forever and they convinced me to finally switch to Verizon. Mike, the manager, helped me quickly switch over and set up 3 lines with 3 new phones. They went above and beyond to get all my data (contacts, photos, apps, etc.) transferred. It’s nice to now have the latest phones and a cell service that actually works in NYC :) They even threw in some extra accessories. I’ve gone back several times for basic questions and they are always helpful. I strongly recommend using this store for anything you need (services, repairs, accessories, tech support, etc.) for your Verizon phone!

Hours are strange if you want to return a Verizon set top box here. Weekdays until 6pm, though they close at 8pm. Weekends until 4pm, though they close at 7pm…
Otherwise, it was pretty straight forward and fast to return my set top box. They seemed like very friendly people and the store was kept clean. No complaints here. I’m not on Verizon cell phone service, so no comment there.

It never ceases to amaze me how bad service is at Verizon. It rivals only Comcast. I was told when I went to drop off my equipment that I needed and appointment to do so. These people are trying every way they can to screw you. Word of advice is to go to a different store or better yet not use Verizon.

STAY AWAY! These people are SCAM ARTISTS! I am in the process of filing a report.
Here is the story: My phone wasnt working — so they took it here to get fixed. Well I ended up using an upgrade I had on the account because they told me that my phone was dead… not going to turn on, etc etc. Basically, a new phone was my only option.
DARVIN was the guy who helped me — which I find out later that he signed in as «CHRIS» so he wouldnt get caught. So, after I got my new phone from the upgrade on the account (which wasnt mine, but was my only option) DARVIN said he was going to take my old phone and sell the parts for me.
Well, «surprisngly» enough a few hours later my phone turns on and seems to be working fine. DARVIN texts me and says that my phone turned on and he wants to «wipe» it clean so no one can get my information. But he needed my code to get in… good segway into getting my code right?
Well, luckily I trusted my instinct and told him that I would be picking up the phone the next day so I didnt give him my code. I picked up the phone and its working FINE!!!
So I decided to take the new phone back, return it and I can get my money back.
Darvin is mysteriously not there… found out he signed in as Chris so he wouldnt be traced back.
After the return, my dad calls to make sure his upgrade is put back on the account after I returned the phone. Well, the store says they have NO trace that I EVER RETURNED THE IPHONE! They have no account! I ended up calling Verizon Wireless customer service to fix it. They called this store and spoke to managers who still denied the return… Luckily we scanned them the return receipt and Verizon Wireless Customer Service fixed it for us internally… NOT THE STORE!!!
All I can say is STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE! They are scamming people here… saying their phones are not working & then taking your parts for cash… taking your information… and taking your money!
This store needs to be shut down immediatly.

This is not a Verizon Store. It’s just a shady, sleazy cellphone store that’s masquerading as a Verizon Store. They fool people with a Verizon sign outside, and then in smaller letters it says Wireless One. It should say Wireless Zero.
I met a friend there to help her pick out a phone. I too was fooled by the sign. A couple of minutes into their pitch, we realized that this was just a Trojan Horse.
During that time, two people came into the store. One wanted a Micro USB charger. They quoted him $ 39.99. You can buy these all day long on Amazon for $ 9.99, and that’s for a genuine OEM Samsung.
Another person came in to ask about an cracked iPhone 5s screen replacement. They quoted her $ 150 with a 5 day turnaround time. You can get them fixed all day long in Manhattan for between $ 45-​$ 65. Plus those shops will do the work while you wait.
If you have a hankering to shop at Wireless One on Second Avenue, you are probably the person who buys electronics in Times Square. Plus you can get luggage and I Love New York t-​shirts at the same time. It’s a one-​stop shopping ripoff!
How are these grifters even in business? Go to a real Verizon Store.

If I could give this place less than one star I would. Absolutely horrible. They mistakenly opened a false account in my name which was never closed. Then they turned the balance of said false account into a collection agency. I will be reporting this shady establishment to the Better Business Bureau as soon as I get off the phone with the Verizon rep who is trying to straighten the whole mess out. DON’T go here.

I mistakenly walked into the 424 park ave wireless one store looking to trade in my old iPhone for new iPhone 6. During the process of ordering I walk out of the store briefly and came back in to see Ajay and Freddie laughing. I guess I amuse them. That was awkward. My phone was rxpected to arrive on Friday, oct 31. It didn’t arrive and Freddie explained to me that they were closed for wkd. I was disappointed waiting all day delaying my Halloween festivities, and left for wkd. Sat, Freddie calls me telling the phone arrive. I was surprise and asked I thought you were closed. I just left for wkd. he explained that wireless one was open, fed ex is closed. I responded w obviously FedEx ISNT closed. They delivered the phone!!! He responded «Do you want to cancel?! I didn’t mention canceling. I waited a month for this order. I waited all day on Halloween for this phone. Obviously, I don’t want to cancel, He continued over the phone telling me do you want to cancel? trying to push me to cancel. I told him I was away for a week. They said I’ll cancel you order and hung up! Are you serious? I was thinking. Called back to my dismay what the fuck do you want? You wasting my time. This is when I responded with some choice words. He said we have the right to cancel order and that’s what we have done.
I strongly recommend to NEVER DO business with theses smelly ghetto hustlers.

Never go here. Mike the manager is shady. He should be selling used cars. It took me three weeks to resolve my issues with Verizon after he insisted on selling me a plan I did not want. The others in the store are nice and helpful. It’s unfortunate they have to clean up his mess.

Sorry to hear that others haven’t had the same great experiences we’ve had; no matter what problems have come up, we drop in and they remedy the situation quickly, at no cost and without making us feel like we should have known the answer ourselves. Nancy is as patient as she is knowledgeable, and we’ve had similar interactions with the rest of the staff.

I had amazing service from Christina and Chris at this store.

BE AWARE. I had such a memorable experience with this place that after all this time I felt I should share what happened.
I haven’t been back since my bad experience, so maybe things have changed? I sure hope so!
I went in right after the new iPhone 5 came out. Finding a phone at that time was rare bacuase they had been selling out. But, I was «lucky» the sales guy said he just happened to have one in stock and it was the one that I wanted… yeah! That’s were the good part of the experience ends. The sales guy told me that I HAD to give him my own phone in order to get the new phone. I didn’t want to give up the phone because I wan’t sure everything on my phone had been backed up… but I wanted the phone for more storage. I was told I had no option to keep it. I thought that wasn’t true, but being the trusting person that I am, I took his word for it and gave him my phone.
I left with my new phone, but a strange gut feeling that something wasn’t right. After talking to my friends who had also just gotten new phone’s while keeping their own phones, I felt that I had been taken. My old phone was in gret working condition. The store should have paid me for it. But really, I should have been given the option to keep it, sell it or donate it. I was’t given the options available to me.
When I called the manager a day later to explain what happened, he said my phone was already «donated» and I couldn’t get it back. I explained that I wasn’t asked to donate it, I was TOLD I HAD to give my phone to get a new one. The manager said he was sure his sales person wouldnt tell me I had to give it to him (now that sounded like he said I was lying). I argued with the manager, explaining how what I expereinced was bad business and I should be credited. He was reluctant to belive me. Stating that they had been there for over 10 years and how could they be bad with such a long track record.blablabla. I care about how I was treated, and I felt I had been deceived. Eventually after a long fight, the manager agreed to give me a $ 140 credit (after I looked up the trade in value) and a free screen protector.
I took the credit and the screen protector since I had already lost the phone and felt so stupid for trusting their sales guy who I think purposefully lied to me. The manager insisted that it was an innocent mistake, that they like to encourage donation of phones. ok-sure…I’ve been gullable before. Later I found out that I could have sold my phone on the internet myslef for over $ 200. Makes me wonder the guy’s intension even more… but I couldn’t prove anything.
The manager tried to make it right, and I did eventually get my credit & screan saver, but I still feel like the sales guy tried to take advantage of my trusting nature. I also didn’t like that the manager stood up for his sales guy to the point where he made me feel like i was the one who did something wrong. The only thing I did wrong was to trust I would be given accurate information from the get go.

This place is the biggest rip off in town. They will lie to you or say anything to get more money. Stay away from these liars, they lied to me about what the plan cost and they sell things for a huge mark up. This is a very bad store, go to another Verizon store, this place will lie to you.

I had a similar story where my phone charger was broken so I walked over here and they tried charging me $ 39.99 for a $ 5 micro USB charger. I looked up the cost of the micro usb on amazon and told them «this is only $ 4 on Amazon» then the lady behind the counter asked me «Do you have cash? I’ll give it to you for $ 29.99 if you pay for it in cash.»
I’ve actually been to this store twice. I bought a hyperion extended battery (for my galaxy s3) from this store. I bought it for $ 80 when it only cost $ 20 from Amazon.
I’m not at all surprised by the negative reviews. I hope they go out of business. No one should buy any product or services from these lying thieves.

I wish I had read these comments before going into this store. This past Saturday, ⁹⁄₁ my phone shut down. I was only a couple of blocks away from this store, so I went in. The manager, Damien, was rude. «Did you think of turning it on?» I pointed out to him it turned on, but the screen was blank. He then rushed me into purchasing another phone, another deal, etc. I got home and started transferring my info and realized this was a used phone! It still had the previous owner’s contacts, emails, texts, etc. I’m going to return it this afternoon. If they give me any trouble, I’m definitely taking this to the STate’s attorney general and BBB. But STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE!

One of the most useless Verizon stores on the face of the planet. The first time I went there to purchase a new phone, nobody looked up to acknowledge I even walked into the store. Today, I went to have my contacts transferred from my old phone to my new iPhone, which I purchased yesterday at another Verizon location and all the sales associate wanted to do was charge me $ 10 for the transfer. I’ve been with Verizon for 18 years and have never had to pay a fee for this service, even when I purchased my phone from a different location.
Bottom line, don’t waste your time at this store.

This place is runs a grifting operation. They charge 59.95 for just about any service that Verizon offers for free or at much reduced fee. A call to Verizon customer service left them bewildered as to how this place was coming up with its fees and random charges. They placed a call their on my behalf to get my money back after being scammed. Avoid these thieves at all costs!

Buyer beware! This store charges fees on top of fees. Then they mess up setting up the phones. I called Verizon and they told me this place should not have charged me all those fees. Avoid this place at all cost. Next time I know better to make sure I go to a Verizon Store, not just a company that sells Verizon products (my fault, I thought all of them are Verizon-​owned).

Be aware Verizon Wireless Customers! Do not be tricked by the Verizon Wireless sign.
On 05/​29/​2011, I saw «Verizon Wireless» authorized dealer sign on 563 2^nd Ave, NYC. I needed an extra charger for my Apple Iphone, so I walked into a store and asked to purchase the charger for my iphone. Damian (an employee who was working at the store at the time), gave me a plastic packaged charger and charged me $ 43.54. (FYI, Apple Iphone charger is $ 29.99 from Apple store.) I looked at the charger I purchased and I realized it looked like a counterfeit charger you can easily purchase on the street for around $ 15. The charger had no recognized name brand (I expected Verizon, or Apple logo on the package). I did not even open the package. I went right back into the store with the receipt and asked to return the charger. Damian said (in a very rude manner) I could not return it even if the package was never opened. I asked him then why he did not tell me that all items could not be returned when I purchased the charger. He said (again, in a very rude manner) customers simply can not return their products. I was surprised that the Verizon Dealer has no return policy. I got out of the store and looked at the sign of the store again. It said in a very tiny small letter, «agent» next to the big Verizon Wireless sign. It was not an authorized Verizon Dealer! Damian said if I had a problem, I can speak to the store manager-​Larry, who will be in next week. He said if Larry is «in a good mood», he might allow me to return the charger, but he’d doubt it. (What kind of return policy is this?)Damian says that there are more than one store of this «Wireless One Communica» (according to the receipt, I assume this is their company name) in United States. Do not be tricked by the Verizon Wireless sign, you will never return anything here.
