Castle Couture in Manalapan NJ 6 stars plus for making good on their promise
Here is the true Saga:
I ordered a custom designed Steven yearick beaded jacket, embellished skirt and tank top. I based my dress (mother of bride) on dress I saw on mannequin at castle couture in June 2014. We Sent the designer detailed sketch and exact measurements. The designer confirmed with my sales person at shop that there would be no problem with making this outfit. I agreed to pay for an up charge for special design change and plus size. I was ok with all Gave a 50% deposit and left all to capable staff at castle couture. Erika, at castle couture really made sure via several phone calls and e mail of sketch that the designer was clear on what was wanted. Move on to March 2015 for first fitting at castle couture.
All three pieces were at least 5 inches to big in every direction. Sleeves were hanging past my fingertips. Worse yet shoulders had to be completely reconstructed. Skirt had to be taken in at least 4 inches and hemmed 6 inches. Beading in front of entire jacket did not line up or even match up. Was actually disturbing to look at because it was so cockeyed crooked. Left side of jacket was to be mirror image of right side and in actuality had totally different pattern breaks and placement of beading. It was a major horror show of an unwearable outfit, with a $ 5000. Price tag I might add. I’d rather wear a canvas bag (that at least would fit properly) than that hot mess from a so called designer. I was upset and ready to demand my deposit returned and quickly look elsewhere. I was lucky that the managers at castle couture made good on all for me in time. Their fabulous seamstress Marilyn remade the entire outfit. Re did almost all the crystal Beading in front to an almost perfect match.
The staff at castle couture stood by their product and made sure my dress was ready in time for my daughters wedding less than three weeks away. And they discounted my order a fair amount due to all this poor workmanship and obvious lack of attention to detail by the so called «Steven Yearick atelier».
So ladies I give Steven yearick a big zero for even allowing my order out of their workshop. Shame on them for poor quality control and oversight of their products.
However, I was lucky to deal with a shop (castle couture and their staff) that made good on time for my event.

Castle Couture: Five plus for making good on a problem that they did not cause!

I ordered a Stephen Yearick wedding gown designed by his lead designer, Lee Price. I purchased the gown from Park Avenue Bridals, who had a great selection of Lee’s work. The gowns are on the high side, but when comparing them to others, the quality, design and overall appearance are by far superior. Once I tried on one of his gowns, I was sold! I ended up ordering a ballgown with a bodice covered in Swarovsky crystals. I’ll provide more information and pictures once my gown arrives.
