Tri-City Cremation & Funeral Service

We had nothing in place when my Mother passed away recently. On a whim I went on Unilocal for help with finding cremation services and was led to Tri-​City. After checking with a couple other outfits it was clear that Tri-​City was the best. Jack and Mickie are both caring, thoughtful and totally transparent with the process. They provided the same service as the other outfits but at a fraction of the cost. Jack has a long experience in the business and truly wants to see his customers helped at reasonable cost. Tri-​City has my highest recommendation.

I researched and interviewed countless cremation companies months in advance of needing one. Jack and Mickie of Tri-​City Cremation became my first choice. Tri-​City is a down-​to-​earth, «Mom & Pop,» genuine, personal, informal (in a good & familiar way) company! They answer the phone, return emails promptly, go above and beyond… and they are warm, empathetic, caring human beings of good character. You would think a member of their own family had died, given the sensitivity and attention to detail they provided. Not only did they stand out from the crowd, but THEY WERE THE MOST AFFORDABLE!!! Look no further. They helped make a very sad occasion a relatively easy and positive experience.
P. S. Do consider the «witness cremation.» I had never heard of this service and it proved to be a wonderful way for our family to say a final goodbye and be with our loved one at the end. You can surround your loved one with flowers,.put photos, letters and mementos in their box before they go and, if you are inclined, even take pictures with them that you will cherish. It was a very spiritual, meaningful, memorable experience!

I lost my mother to colon cancer on Feb 18, the day she passed, hospice had «just» given us a list of places to choose from on where her services could be. We didn’t anticipate her passing a few hours later so we hadn’t discussed as a family what we wanted to have done for her. Tri-​City was recommended to us by her hospice nurse from, Pathways Care. We were happy we made that decision!
Micky and Jack made the whole process from beginning to end so comforting and as smooth as possible.
They are a magnificent duo! From the preparations, to the viewing, to picking the urn etc. I have NOTHING terrible to say about them. We absolutely ADORE them and they will forever be in our daily prayers.

Tri-​City Cremation & Funeral Service couldn’t have been kinder or more helpful when I lost my dear wife of 27 years. They made the process as easy as possible and were very personally supportive. In terms of pricing, my uncle required basically the same services and at another local funeral home his charges were TWICE what I paid at Tri-​City! I can’t thank them enough, or recommend them highly enough!

Tri-​City Cremation and Funeral services was there for my sister and I when we lost our father in July; And now they are here again when we lost our mother on 12÷16÷14. My mother died at home in Oakland and Tri-​City was there to pick up her remains with in an hour of calling Mickie. Unlike my father who requested cremation, my mother wanted a «green burial» for which I knew little about. Jack and Mickie were extremely helpful and compassionate to my sister and I as we navigated through the logistics of a green burial. I can’t put in to words how greatful my sister and I are to Tri-​City in dealing with the burial of our parents.

When I lost my father in July I had little knowledge of where to turn. It feels odd to source Unilocal for such a thing as funeral services, but it was here that I discovered such positive reviews on Tri-​City and decided to make the call. We had nothing but positive experiences from there on out. Jack and Micky made the process so much easier, they were courteous, sincere, and like other reviewers mentioned they were transparent when it came to itemizing the cost. They were also the best price we found in the bay area and for kids who are financing this themselves it realy makes a huge difference.
When my mother in-​law suddenly passed away less than 6 months after my father they came to our aid again. These are the times that you really need good people like the folks at Tri-​CIty. They flawlessly made the experience, as they had the first time, easier because it is not an easy one. We are forever thankful.

As a wife the one thing we never figure we will have to do is make arrangments for our husband as we all say that we will go first in my case due to a very short battle with cancer I had to make them for him. My sister lives in Newark and would always see them as she drove by. Upon knowing that Bruce was loosing the battle Me and Terri went in I will always be great full for this as Mickie and Jack was my answer to my prayers. Had it not been for the caring loving touch that they gave me I don’t know how I’d of done it. I went in on a Thursday to find out all the information and then found myself having to call them to have Bruce’s body picked up as he passed away the Monday after. I went back in a couple days later to sign the papers and pay for all which was not as bad as I thought it was seems as they are there for the loved ones not the money. Mickie made it all so easy and Jack helped me with the obituary along with all the others that go along with it. this was the hardest thing in my life I will ever have to do but I can never say enough as to how the two of them made it somewhat better. I found out that they now make Thumbies which is your loved ones thumb print on a neckless and you are able to feel them it was the best thing so now I have him around my neck and can feel him all the time. I still call then when need to just talk and yes they take the time. I know I will go back and make the arrangements for me there not for a while but will and will tell all about them as for me the special attention you are given makes all the different to me. they have the cuties things to have your loved ones ashes put into and no matter what they are there to help you with anything and will try to find out for you if don’t know the answer. I enjoyed the stright forward answers. I could go on and on about how much they helped me do something I had no clue how to do but the best thing I can say is that both Jack and Mickie are the MOST CARING, SUPPORTIVE, WONDERFUL people around should you need to make arragements I would save your self and go to them you will be surprised as to how easy it will be no question is a dumb one with then and all will be explaned to you from how many death certificates you need and how many you don’t really need. When it came time to find the hall for the celebration of life for Bruce they were both help full in helping me find a place. Thank you both for all you have done for me and my family. I’d lost my father in July, Tri City Cremation and Funeral Services was there for my sister and I in a big way when it came to creamating my father’s remains. Unlike other funeral homes who we would call and could not get a straight answer, Tri City was transparent in every way by providing us an itemized price list. Every thing was straight forward, $ 895.00 to cremate my father to transporting his remains from Oakland to the crematorium. It was very difficult to grieve the loss of my father while tending to his burial arrangements, the people at Tri City made this process so much easier for my sister and I where we’ll be eternally greatfull.

A death in the family is never the easy thing to go through. And finding a Service for Cremation that was in our bugjet. So I did a little investigation on each place. I called about 8 Cremation Service in San Jose, Santa Clara. They can run from $ 3,000 to $ 900. I found Tri-​City Cremation Services throug Pathways they gave us a flyer. Their price was $ 895 !!!
This was my experience: My BF father has Terminal stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. He was from San Francisco and had no one to take care of him but us. He spent 7 days in the Kaiser hospital then got released to us. We set up our room for him on his last 6 days of life. He was comfortable, warm, had family by his side. I am very thankful for Hospic that came out 3 times a week to help check on him, bath him. While we where at work we hired a very nice care taker named William he was such a god sent. He had much compassion that he took very good care of my BF father.
When the loved one has passed the Hospic Nurse to the home. Pronounced him deceased then we called Tri-​City Creamation & Funeral Service they pick the body up with 2 hours.
The pick up was done with great compassion, sympathy, and respect for the family.
Since he was terminal ill no police get involved. Every thing went very fast after his passing.
I never seen a loved one who just died so this whole experience hit me kinda of hard. I found it hard to get to doing reviews again. But I must say writing this has helped me very much. Being a Unilocaler is a very big part of my life and even in looking for that right place that we needed in time of death. Unilocal has been by my side even through this death.
So if you find your self reading this and need guidance to the correct place I would definatley talk with Tri-​City.

My father passed away very suddenly at the end of 2012. It has been extremely difficult and painful to try to cope with this loss. However, during the time immediately following my father’s death there were a few individuals outside of my supportive circle of family and friends who made a very heartbreaking experience a little bit easier.
Jack Hascall of Tri City Cremation was extremely empathetic, professional, patient and helpful. It meant so much to work with someone who was sensitive to the significance of the loss and whose years of experience simplified the process of finalizing my father’s wishes and helping with the cremation arrangements. I feel grateful not only for the level of service Jack provided, but for his kindness and attention to detail.

My uncle didn’t enjoy receving a ton of attention. Though he was a rather dynamic individual, he enjoyed simplicity for himself. He was only 51 when he passed. His passing was sudden, so my family and I were left scrambling on the day of his death to make funeral plans.
Enter, Tri-​City and Jack.
Jack, the funeral director, could not have made this process any easier. He was sincere, informative, and incredibly efficient; making sure the services we requested were scheduled exactly when we wanted and handled with grace and care. He was always available when I called and he kept me in the loop with updates and information. He didn’t try to upsell his services or products, he simply handled our business with warmth and kindess. I think my uncle would’ve like him.
