New England Ice Lollies

Reminiscent of Mexican paletas, but doesn’t involve a 3,000 mile trip. The fruit lollies are all very refreshing, I especially enjoy the Watermelon & Cucumber. The savory lollies are just that, savory, the cheesecake is a devilishly delectable delight. If you happen across their pastel colored billboard, make sure to stop in for a treat!

Enjoying an ice lolly is a lovely treat and terrific alternative to an ice cream cone. I had the yummy Salted Caramel Coconut lolly. If you love coconut, you’ll be a fan. It was creamy with a nice salty sweet balance. I had a taste of the raspberry lolly. And can tell you the fruit options have a true flavor. The friendly and informative counterperson told us the fruit versions contained only fruit purée and sugar. I’d like to try other flavors.

So unique and tasty. Great to eat refreshing fruit combinations on a stick. All real fruits. My tummy was very happy.

A Popsicle Shop in downtown Newburyport! Seriously, this place is the coolest (no pun intended) shop to hit the north shore in years! But they don’t just have ice pops; in addition to the several amazing, homemade, fresh fruit non dairy bars, there are several with dairy that taste more like ice cream bars. I’m vegan so haven’t tried those but have heard they’re amazing (salted caramel coconut, hint hint) Plus they’ll dip anything you want into thick (non dairy) dark chocolate! The lemonade lavender is yummy and the mango-​pineapple tastes like fresh picked fruit.
The kids who work at Ice Lollies are incredibly nice and the décor is adorable! There is no place else i would rather get a sweet treat — especially in the warm weather! The yogurt and gelato shops are so «2014» LOL. I hope they continue to do well — and that everyone/​anyone who reads this heads over there and tries an ice pop!

Hands down, the best ice cream that I’ve ever had. The salted caramel coconut pop can’t be legal. The key lime pie is magical as well. Wow wow wow.

It was a rainy and dreary March Saturday, but anytime is a good time for a popsicle/​ice cream treat, right? My 10 year old daughter seems to think so anyway.
We stopped in and picked up two of the chocolate style, and they were very good. The price point is kind of high at almost $ 4 but this isn’t the kind of place I would go all the time, so that didn’t really factor in as a true complaint.
They also offer «paint nights» occasionally according to their website, and being artsy, my daughter will be wanting to come back for that possibly.

Not the Popsicle I had as a kid. These are much better. Lots and lots of flavors makes it hard to choose. The oreo cookie had lots of cookies in it. They have other items like smoothies and hot drinks too.
Definitely worth a stop when Christmas shopping.

I may or may not have visited this store for the first time and then went back each day for the next three days… But, there are so many flavors to choose from and summer was fading fast. (Cold weather hasn’t really dampened the appeal, however.) So far I’ve sampled Lavender Lemonade, Chocolate Guinness (dipped in chocolate), Tri-​berry, Chocolate, Salted Caramel Coconut, Mexican Chocolate… okay this is starting to look incriminating.
You’re probably thinking «$ 3 for a glorified popsicle?!». But, my friends, it is worth it. The ice lollies are made fresh, are large enough to be satisfying*, and come in enough flavors to appeal to any palate. The employees are always pleasant, I suspect because they are indulging in ice lollies when no one is looking. (KIdding.) And, this is important, you can get your lolly dipped in milk or white chocolate.
And while I can’t speak to the smoothies or ELEVEN FLAVORS OF HOT CHOCOLATE, I appreciate that New England Ice Lollies has given more even more reasons to return.
* While the ice lollies are substantial, this also means that you have to make haste on a hot day or else you end up wearing your ice lolly. Get extra napkins.

Great variety of dairy and non-​dairy gourmet popsicles. Cookies & Cream was great and even more amazing when dipped in hot, dark chocolate. Sampled the spicy Mexican chocolate popsicle (made by hand in the shop by the owners). Even though I don’t like cinnamon and cloves, it was a really tasty mixture of spicy chocolate and all those other ingredients. I’ll definitely go back for the item alone. The shop is clean and bright. All the popsicles are on display in a refrigerated case. Service is very friendly and generous with free samples. The owner and his family actually work in the store.

So the first time I heard of this place was at the end of May at the Newburyport Street fair. Unfortunately that day it was too cold for me to be tempted to try it. I had been meaning to get over there for a while now but I’m usually in Newburyport Sunday mornings early for the farmers market before this place is open or I forget! Made it there finally after a perfect morning at Plum Island. I told the girl it was my first time there and asked for her recomendations. She was friendly and helpful recommending the salted caramel coconut. It sounded amazing but I went with lavender lemonade. It was very good and refreshing though I may have enjoyed another more didn’t love the herbiness of it but that was my preference. As most ice cream xharge $ 3 for a medium I did not find it unreasonable at all. I actually wouldnt have minded one a bit smaller! They will also dip them in melted dark chocolate for you, though I skipped that today. Great refresher on a warm afternoon.
