Newburyport Optique

So I bent the frame on my glasses. I thought I could fix them so I removed the screw and bend the bracket back into place. Do you know how hard it is to fix eye glasses when you need eye glasses to see up close? I felt like Ralphie from «A Christmas Story». It got a bit harder to put them back together so I gave Newburyport Optique a call for help. Emily was wonderful and in a few moments she had my glasses fixed! Very quick, friendly and professional service. Thank you so much Emily. I will be in soon to pick up a back up pair.

Great. Very helpful and welcoming but I bought a pair of sun glasses, they weren’t cheap, but I love them. They came with a soft drawstring case/​bag. Not much help there. They ordered me a hard case said it would be in the next week. I called and was told it should be there In a few days. They said they would inform me when it arrived. 4 days later I called and still no case. Now it’s been months with glasses and still no follow up at all on their part and no case. Totally bummed about the lack of response on their end. At first the experience was very positive but the end result, I’m not happy. Maui jims in a cloth waiting for my hard case. and have had no communication at all initiated on their end.

We have been getting our glasses there since we moved here in 2002, and as someone who has worn glasses for over 55 years, I can tell you that they get five stars in every category… this is easily the best place I’ve ever shopped at for glasses… not a step up, but an entire flight of stairs up… from the chain and mall places.
First, they know their business. We get a very comprehensive eye exam and if there are no changes in your lens prescription, they tell you that there is no need for new lenses unless you want a change of pace and a new look. I have an unusual prescription and they have bent over backward to get what I need and quickly. They were the first and only ones to recommend a combo of contacts and glasses for reading when I had a serious problem with my eyes at one point. After struggling for two years with a serious eye problem, they made it possible for me to read regular books and the newspaper again.
I have never liked wearing glasses but their associates really know how to match a frame to your face, your coloring, and also your personal style. Since I’ve started getting glasses here, I can honestly say that I love every pair I’ve gotten there.
But the best part is that they have an incredible selection of frames that are flattering, affordable, and unique. They scout out designer frames at shows all over the country so they have a wide variety of one of a kind frames at absolutely affordable prices. It is no more expensive to get glasses at this wonderful boutique than it is to get them at the mall — and the quality and service are miles better.
I got my newest pair of glass in October. The frame I ultimately chose had literally just arrived and didn’t have a price tag on it yet. I was convinced it would be out of my price range as I knew it was a French designer frame that they had gotten in NY. I kept going back to it but didn’t even bother to ask the price. Ultimately, one of the gals suggested I try it. When I expressed concern about the price, she reassured me that the fact that it wasn’t marked was because they had just put it out and forgot to tag it, and she doubted it was expensive at all.
First, it was stunning on — better than I had imagined — perfect for the shape of my face and my coloring. Second, it was the least expensive of the three frames I ultimately picked as top three to make a final choice from.
And lastly, the people who work there and who own the place are fantastic. They remember you, they remember your family, and they treat you like you are a part of theirs.

The best service in the area. Went far above and beyond to get my glasses to me when their vendor had their own mix up.
Violet and Emily are great to work with as well.
