Auburn Refinishing is a premium quality hardwood floor refinishing company located in Newcastle, CA. We operate in Roseville, Granite Bay, Rocklin, Loomis, Folsom, and Sacramento CA to name a few areas. We use floor-​sanding machines from Germany that have been university tested and optimized for maximum efficiency in dust collection. Hardwood floor refinishing is my passion and I love to talk floors and educate. No hard sales push from me. Using the Trio in combination with premium Glitsa floor finish, we are able to yield the flattest hardwood floors with exceptional longevity. We also prefer hardwax-​oil finishes such as Rubio monocoat to produce a more authentic and aged appearance for wood floors. Please keep in mind that we are unable to provide floor sanding services at a price below $ 1000 due to simple overhead costs. This excludes us from doing small water damage repairs. We can provide scratch and dent repair services, but the minimum charge is $ 250 for floor related repairs.

History

Established in 2002.

Auburn Refinishing is a refinishing business established by Scott Avery. After working in wood flooring in Colorado and Oregon, Scott decided to anchor the company to the Sacramento foothills area. We live in Newcastle California, so our working area is generally east of the river from downtown only: Roseville, Folsom, Rocklin, Granite Bay, Sacramento, are a few of our current work areas. This could could change so call to verify. This business is centered around one principle, providing value and education for customers. We do not believe in gimmicks and marketing charades. We use dustless refinishing technology. We have done a variety of installations and wood floor finishing techniques. Ultimately, we believe that the future of floor finishing is within two main types of finish, Glitsa swedish finishes and hard wax oils such as Rubio monocoat. We are the most NWFA accredited contractor in the Sacramento area, which illustrates our commitment to professional education and service.

I began my career in wood flooring in early 2002 when I made the decision to attend an NWFA basic wood flooring school. I have since attended and helped teach at least a dozen other technical schools. I have learned a lot of skills and developed a great network of colleagues by staying active within the NWFA. I took a brief sabbatical from the wood flooring business in late 2013 until making the decision to return to the industry. Being a wood floor contractor courses through my veins and is the true source of my passion. I live out in Newcastle in the country with my family and enjoy the peacefulness. I really enjoy my customers and being a part of making their home look better. It is fun to get to know the family and the pets and see customers later at places like the grocery story and have enjoyable conversations.
