Molly photographed our beach elopement last month. Originally, I hesitated on getting professional photos — I thought maybe I should save the money and just use a tripod or something. I’m so glad I didn’t, because the pictures Luminaire did are gorgeous, and way beyond anything I could have done on my own. My spouse and I are a little crazy, and wanted shots of us in the ocean. Molly jumped right into the ocean with us and took some awesome pictures. Stunning photographs aside, she was always very communicative and reliable (important, since we planned this from out-​of-​state), as well as reasonably priced for the event. Highly recommend.

Yes, I just got married yesterday. Yes, Matt & Molly from Luminaire Images were our photographers. Yes, I’ve only seen 1 photo they took of my flower girl. Yes, I’m already throwing out a 5 star review!
I don’t recall how exactly I got a hold of the post card flier that led me to the Luminaire Images blog site, but once I saw the posts on the blog I was a fan. Since I was a child I have adored looking at photographs and old albums so the most important thing to me about the wedding was ensuring we came away with quality pictures. I could tell from their work that they would be able to give us those types of photos.
I felt privileged that we were able to be Molly’s and Matt’s clients. I found working with them super easy! I hate being photographed and am not photogenic at all. I don’t know the secrets to flattering angles or poses & have terrible posture so Molly’s simple prompts were much appreciated.
I also found working with her calming. When everyone and everything else around us seemed so chaotic her demeanor was so chill that it relaxed me. Even Matt was super calm. I secretly was calling him Mr. Stealth in my own head because he would pop up out of nowhere at the most opportune moments with his camera at the ready.
I can’t wait to see our pictures! I’m 100% positive I’m going to love them!

We were really happy with the beautiful photographs they took at our wedding, and Molly was friendly and had great recommendations. It’s not the cheapest wedding photography out there, but I believe it’s worth it if you want unique, high-​quality images of all of the moments of your big day. Our guests enjoyed the screen that was set up on a table during the reception and shuffled through images taken from earlier in the day. It was a nice touch.

After all the beautiful photos that came out of our engagement session, we were super excited to see what they would capture from our wedding.
We got married on May 11, 2013, and Matt and Molly were there from 12:30pm (to take pictures of us getting ready) all the way through til 11:30pm (to photograph our grand exit and take a few night shots at Balboa Park). They did a great job capturing all those special moments throughout the day. We have some great pictures of Trevor crying at the alter as I’m walking down the aisle, his mom getting all teary, and a very meaningful smile between the two of us as we walked up the aisle after our ceremony.
Then, we had an amazing session at Balboa Park with our wedding party! We emphasized our desire for fun pictures with the bridal party and they certainly delivered! We had some traditional posed pictures, but then we had pictures of us doing the robot, jumpy pictures, silly pictures, and (my favorite) hadouken photos! We had such a good time during the shoot!
Matt and Molly also scouted the place to find the perfect place to do these pictures!
AND they turned them around so quickly! Our wedding was on May 11^th. We got back from our honeymoon on May 21^st. We had a flashdrive with our pictures on them by

Best Photographers EVER!!! They shot our private wedding & public reception and they truly do capture what you do not see. The little moments that speak to your heart & are gone in an instant become legendary when captured with such perfect timing & a creative eye. Luminaire Images were the photographers for both our engagement and wedding photos. We took our engagement photos at Union Station in Los Angeles and even though many couples have had their photos taken there, Luminaire Images was able to come up with a LOT of fresh ideas to make our pictures beautiful and unique.
Fast forward to our wedding day, they couldn’t have been any better to work with! They went to the venue to scout it out weeks before our wedding so they already knew good locations to shoot. They were very professional, creative and and made us feel comfortable. They were even willing to go to another site (which they also scouted out ahead of time) to take photos of our wedding party. All of our photos look vibrant and capture our day perfectly. Luminaire Images will be our go-​to photographer for all of our future events!

As a wedding entertainer myself it is very important to have a good relationship with other vendors to ensure a smooth event for our clients. My now husband and I booked Molly and Matt for our October wedding. We were in the midst of a photography crises, as our previous photographer backed out last minute. With just 8 weeks to go, we found Luminaire Images from the reccomendation of a friend. Thank God we did. We knew that photography was incredibly important to us. We wanted photos that we would be proud to show our children and grandchildren, photos that would capture the spirit of the day, photos that would document our dearest family and friends. We got all this and more. Molly was our primary photographer and was completly professional. She was on time and working hard the whole day. We both have large families and she was able to direct everyone in order to get the shots we needed as fast as possible, so we had more time to spend with our loved ones. She captured the most special moments of the most special day of our lives. Molly and Matt managed to somehow be everywhere to shoot the pictures, but never in the way and never distracting. We both felt at ease and completely comfortable shooting with them. We are 100% satisfied with Luminaire Images and would absolutely return to them for the rest of life’s special moments.

We had an outdoor sitting done with our then 2 and a half year old at Mile Sq Park in Huntington Beach. It was fantastic. Molly was able to capture our son’s personality perfectly — his inquisitive sense of wonder and his big personality shine through in each picture. I especially appreciate that it was done in a toddler friendly manner — on the move and positively engaging. He had a great time as well! I can’t recommend Molly and Matt enough — wonderful stuff!

Matt and Molly photographed our wedding at the Dana Point Marriott in April and did a fabulous job! Pre wedding they were available and easy to reach if there was need. Luminaire Images were very professional and organized as well. On the day of our wedding they were amazing and worked without being overly present. And after our special day they had our proofs up in a timely manner and it enjoyed us so to look back at our day and see some of the special moments that Matt and Molly captured.
