Rolf’s wine and Spirits is a friendly, full service fine wine store stocked with hand picked hard and easy to find wines (still and sparkling), craft beers, and liquor from all around the world with discounted warehouse style prices. Our rare domestic and imported wines are carefully selected from the thousands we taste and evaluate yearly. We pick the best wines for quality and value in all price ranges.

Some of the wines we taste are Oregon, Washington, Napa California Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Zinfandel, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Grenache, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, imported German Riesling, French Bordeaux, Red Burgundy, White Burgundy, Rhone, Italian Brunello, Sangiovese, Argentinian Wine, Spanish wines, New Zealand wine, and port wines.

We also offer temperature and humidity controlled wine storage lockers in Newport Beach on the boarder of Costa mesa, for local wine collectors or out of state residents who can arrange shipping to our warehouse direct from wineries. The wine lockers range in capacity from 6 cases to walk in lockers.

Rolf’s Wine was established in 1953 and one of the oldest wine stores in Orange County, California. We service the local community; assist with corporate gifts, private parties, weddings and out of town visitors from around the world while on vacation. Come in and say hello. Cheers.

History

Established in 1953.

Rolf’s was founded by Rolf Engen. Rolf attended UCLA on a basketball scholarship where he played for the great John Wooden. After graduating, Rolf returned to teach at Santa Ana High School, his alma mater. Early in his business career he saw the future of the wine business and has been a highly respected wine merchant and wine educator ever since.

Managing Partner Rick Webster started in the wine business at Rolf’s in 1968, attending wine classes at the weekly store meetings where he became fascinated with wine. After a stint in the Navy he returned to Rolf’s because, as he says, «Wine got into my blood!»
