Love this place. They have a great sausage and red pepper bake that you can take home and cook it then. Really fun atmosphere. I great place to go and wind down.

Always great sausages for the grill. And if you want a fantastic lunch stop in and pick up a sandwich very well done.

Cannelloni is AMAZING. Great service and way better than«mama d’s». Wish people would realize that.

Great sausage, but damn if the $ 10 roast beef & sausage combo wasn’t the smallest sandwich I’ve ever eaten. You guys have a great product for sure, but if you don’t hook the people up they won’t want to come back for more! A $ 10 sandwich should be fat. Look at Sessions… that place is expensive as well but they hook it up!

Good old fashioned Italian! Located in the shipyard. Only negative, it’s Kinda hard to find if you’re not from the area. We go there for lunch and the sausages. The best! You can’t go wrong with any of the sandwiches. All good. Service great too!

Excellent pizza! Staff was very friendly; was even offered a ride back to my beach house(vacationing with 23 people) sauce was awesome and the pepper pizza was exceptionally tasty! I would highly recommend them! $ 15 per pizza, which in the area, was a good deal. Great to park in the parking lot right across the street and walk across. Very impressed!

The best sausage ever. They also have a full-service restaurant just around the corner with great food.

I work across the street from this place and it is home Italian cooking at its best! There is always a delicious aroma in the air, today I got two huge meat balls for lunch they were cooked so perfectly and seasoned great! I could see the fresh basil leafs in the sauce ! They have a choice between turkey or beef they are very good! The owner is also very friendly and it’s always nice to see the owner of the establishment actually physically working in his/her business :)

I love the idea that this is a Sabatino’s extension and really do love the sausage and meatball sandwiches. I must say though, the pizza disappointed me. It’s not like the Restaraunt. It was not doughy not thin– I asked for extra cheese and Sauce and found it to be consistent to Leventina’s… Okay but barely a 3 on scale of 5. Sadly, I will now have to go to the restaurant for my pizza on the Peninsula.

The Italian Sausage sandwich is fantastic! I have not been to the original location or have I tried any other dishes. Will be back to try out the pastas, and maybe the stuffed peppers in the deli fridge.

This spot is much better than their main restaurant in my opinion. Way less crowded, but a much smaller spot. I’ve been here several times to enjoy a sausage sandwich and chips. Good prices and high quality food. The fridge related food gets a little pricey, but the sandwiches are to die for. No huge crowds or 90 year old croons singing either. Yummy food and awesome sausage.

The meatball and spicy sausage combo was delicious. We also ordered the deli sandwich. As you can see from the picture I posted, the ratio of meat to bread is lacking. 3 slices of meat and one slice of cheese for 8 dollars. It was also very dry.

Delicious Pizza! The best around. Get sausage mild or hot Pizza. I like the mild. Add mushrooms and Jalepeno. With Chicago cut. I also get a side of sauce.

Pizza slices are burned on the bottom, it was black because they«warm it up» in the oven – essentially cooking it more. They shouldn’t fully cook the pizza from the beginning if they are going to stick it in the oven again when you order a slice. My 4 yr old daughter refused to eat it & shes a pizza lover. Thats really bad when a kid who isn’t picky about where their pizza comes from won’t even eat it! The service was friendly and quick but if you can’t make a simple pizza – thats the first thing a person learns to cook in their first apartment – then you don’t deserve stars. Perhaps they’re good if you order a whole pizza but don’t order a burned slice! Antonios on Catalina Island is the best!

Sausage fest 2014 continues for me with a sausage sandwich from Sabatino’s. It has been years since I had Sabatino’s Italian Sausage in my mouth. Wanting to experience it again, I headed to their«new» location on 32nd street. Sabatino’s has the reputation of having the best Italian Sausage in the OC. The restaurant has only a couple of tables. It is mainly for take out. But, that’s okay because eating an Italian Sausage should done in private. This location is the Mini me of their Lido Shipyard main restaurant. In addition to Pizza and sausage, they also serve salads, sandwiches and pastas here. The restaurant was a little busy when I arrived. Their sausage sandwich comes with your choice of either their mild or spicy Italian sausage. I choose the spicy. Other customers were already inside waiitng for their food. But, they quickly took my order. 10 minutes later, my food was ready. The sausage sandwich come with onions, bell peppers, and a side of marinara sauce. The bread is perfect for the sandwich. It was crusty on the outside, but, soft on the inside. Their sausage is made with with bits of cheese inside the sausage. As you bite into the cooked sausage, you could feel the hot liquified cheese squirting from the sausage into your mouth. It is worthy of its award for the best Italian Sausage in the OC. Sabatino’s, whether it be the original location in the Lido Shipyard or this«new» location that is 2 years old is a winner. The Italian Sausage is great. If you don’t want it in a sandwich, you can buy it fresh and and prepare it in the privacy of your own home. I will be back.

Great sausage. My friend and I had the Sabatino’s Homemade World Famous Sausage Sandwich(sausage and peppers) and the Beef Meatball Marinara Sandwich. Out of the two, I personally preferred the meatball marinara. The sausage was really good, but I sandwich-wise, I preferred the latter. They also gave me a side of marinara to add on to my sandwich. It wasn’t too distinct nor memorable, but I think that’s because this place focuses more on the meat than the sauces. Overall, the quality was really good, and I did enjoy my meal. 4⁄5. The reason why I took bumped it down one star is because I felt like the sandwiches could have been a bit bigger. Although the ingredients were good, I didn’t feel like I got my money’s worth. Also, they don’t have filtered water, so you’ll have to buy a bottle of water or other drink to counter the spicy sausage. Note: This is more of a to-go place. There’s only one or two tables available.

I really like this place. It’s a great alternative if you don’t have time to go to the normal Sabatino’s location. They have many items that you would normally find on the Sabatino’s menu but most of all, they have the sausage there. The sausage sandwich is fantastic. The pizza is also very good. This is about 85% as good as going to the regular Sabatino’s location, which is quite a bit because Sabatino’s is awesome. The only thing they don’t have which I wish they did is the tiramisu.

I am so stoked that Sabatino’s opened up a brick and mortar with take-out! Came here right near closing last night, and Sandra was able to turn around an order for 4 sandwiches in no time flat! The interior here is quaint and small, so you will likely have to take out, but everyone was very cordial and accommodating, answering all my questions about the different food options. I can’t wait to try their stuffed peppers! We had two types of sausage sandwiches(spicy and regular), and two meatball subs(one turkey, one beef). The sausage is made fresh daily at their restaurant on Lido, and uses a combination of Italian parsley, Italian spices and a fresh cheese blend(believe its goat cheese) that creates this amazingly succulent sausage that I just couldn’t wait to get into my mouth(yep, that just happened). For $ 6 each you are getting a moderately sized sandwich with all the fixins(Parmesan cheese, marinara, etc), all on a fresh and soft baguette. Both of the sausages we had were succulent and flavorful, and the meatball subs were full of flavor(I could have eaten them without the marinara because they had so much flavor). The turkey meatball sub was actually very good(we were worried that the flavors wouldn’t hold up), and I would totally order it again as a substitute for beef! So far everything I’ve tried here is wonderful, and the price point equals a say, Gina’s(right across the street), so I think the choice is clear for Italian fare that has a home-style quality that is fresh made daily, and packed full of delicious flavors. Let’s hope for 20 years at this new location!
