I wanted a nice warm decaf coffee. Went to Coffee Bean and the doors were locked at 9:04pm when they close at 930pm. The 2 coworkers that were inside started laughing when I tried to open the door.

The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf Chai Tea Latte is the BEST! I love cooler weather when I can have this drink. I also love their Winter Dream Tea. So fragrant and flavorful. It’s the only tea I can drink without adding any sugar!

A few months ago when I was on a latte binge, I ordered one from here. Disgusting, powdery, sugary junk. If other chains can ‘specialize’ in coffee yet have good lattes, this place should be able to do the same. I’ll probably come back one time to try their coffee, but not anytime soon.

I had a very nice Americano and everything bagel with cream cheese in the early morning. The crew who was working here were very cool and on the money with their service. The bagel had a good medium toast with slightly burned ends, but no biggie. I put a light layer of cream cheese and that’s all she wrote. The bagel had that nice chewy warm texture and with the thin layer of cream cheese, well I was one happy camper. The Americano was very good. It was smooth but had enough kick to it both flavor wise and caffeine wise; no doubt it was that a form of espresso. I am a fan of places that make good coffee, with good treats, and god service.

Really great place all around! It’s a great place to study if you need a break from UCI. The tables don’t shake, nice lighting, music too loud, and plenty of seating. The baristas are also great! Overall, pretty chill vibe and I’ll definitely be here more often.

Love love love my lattes from CBTL. The only thing better are those I make with their freshly ground beans at home. They’re fast and friendly, and the place is nice and clean.

I’ve been going to this coffee bean for a while now since I live near here. I like the atmosphere. Today I ordered a single large iced coffee with soy milk and received a medium. I insisted that I ordered a large and the barista insisted that I was charged for a medium(first impasse in customer service). Instead of arguing, which I hate looking like an idiot customer I decided to let it go, because it wasn’t worth it. I was adding my sugar when the same chubby lady with a bun called me up and apologized(ok good) and summoned me by waving her hand in a come hither motion as if I was a child in trouble(2nd impasse). They decided to fix it and the barista gave there cup to the cashier and she gave him attitude for him to fix the size. To which he added a lot of ice, no extra soy milk and gave me back the drink(3rd). I am now doing some work sipping on iced coffee that tastes like a pigeon crapped in my basic black, but not too much because that costs extra…

Two people that ordered after me were served their drinks before me. One of them had ordered 5 ice blended and I had to wait over 10 minutes for my order. Because they were friends of the Barista. Bad business practice and poor customer service. I won’t be going back to this location.

It’s been a few years now since I’ve been to Newport Beach, as I used to frequent the Coffee Bean over on E Coast Hwy. I didn’t see it there anymore, but I’m glad that they’re still close by at this strip mall off Bison and Macarthur. I ordered a couple drinks and Konjit was super nice! Her and team were super pleasant considering how much I ordered along with the time in the morning it was. This particular store is in a nice, easily accessible area for locals and for students. If I’m in Southern California, chances are that I will go there over a Starbucks anyday. So for loyalty and the awesome service… five stars, I say!

This used to be my usual spot for coffee when I worked in irvine. The staff is great and even remembered me by name. I was always greeted with a SMILING face and loved coming back. Definitely suggest this over the Starbucks across the street.

This shop has the best baristas and friendliest staff around and, no surprise, the most diverse hiring practices in this area. The interior redo is a hit. Great comfort and cleanliness for the free wireless types; good for book groups; chatting; students; professors and the like. Avoid it during the lunchtime rush if you don’t relish blustery real estate/business deal crowds. They make good iced coffees and cappuccinos and you can go with an Americano too, because overall the coffee is weak – if one is a Peet’s aficionado, for instance. There are pastries, bananas, small protein options. You can bring kids here – It’s not overly stuffy. [The mall needs some bike racks! Bike parking is the lamp post].

Coffee Bean baristas here are friendly and really helpful. I love that they added furniture and made the front of the store look nice for people to sit and study/eat. I will definitely coming here more often to study! :)

I stop in here to do some work now and then, primarily driven by my strong dislike of Panera, which is also in this strip mall. The coffee here is as good as Starbucks, which I intend as faint praise. To me, it’s the same ubiquitous over roasted stuff that everyone serves(save for Kean Coffee). Fine. That’s what milk and sugar are for. This store is clean and well-run. Bathrooms are always well maintained and stocked. Hot drinks are served hot. The staff seem uniformly friendly and likable. It’s a nice place to sit and work. It gets just enough foot traffic for me to indulge my people watching habit, but not so many as to be distracting. The wi-fi always works perfectly and without hassle. I did pay $ 3.15 yesterday for a medium iced tea/lemonade. With all the ice, it was probably 6oz of product. 3 hits off the straw and it was gone. $ 3.15! I’m in the wrong business. On a 100-degree day it’s hard to complain about too much ice and appear sane. But maybe scale up the sizes if you’re going to use so much ice. I mean, the stuff came from a refrigerator, not the trunk of your hot car, so I’m not sure all that ice was necessary. I’ll order light ice next time.

I have been to this location a few times this past year, and I have to say that I enjoy every time I come here to study. There are always tables available, especially on weeknights. It doesnt get very busy it seems, compared to the Starbucks across the street. I like to vary it up sometimes, just to mix up my routine. I like it because the drinks here are different than Starbucks. I have gotten a few that I like here better, especially have a latte with almond milk. Almond is great, but I really have to be in the mood to have something super creamy and thick. I also really like their world’s greatest coffee cake. Its not the best I ever had, but its mighty tasty. Studying here is really great too. Music is always good and sometimes I like to sit outside in the daytime to get a little sun. I can even have a chipotle next door with my ice drinks, if I wanted too. Definitely on my list of places to study.

Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. This is the place where I sit down, relax, and beginning my studying. There are always tables free here because this location is kinda quiet– it’s off SR-73 off Bison. When you walk in, the employees behind the counter greet you with a warm«Hello!» After ordering a medley of drinks(I’ve had Winter Dream Latte, Caramel Hazelnut, Black Forest Ice Blended, and even their caramel macchiato), which are always made to my liking. And yes, this is way better than Starbucks. What I do miss is the variety of ice blended– they need to have more! But I guess I can’t have it both ways. The wi-fi password is located on the TV screen and they do have restrooms here. Good place to study or to just chill with you friends :)

I just wanted to share what a nice experience I had at this coffee bean. The barista was so nice and serene, very pleasant atmosphere. She even offered me an extra shot of espresso on the house. A much needed extra shot I might add(finals weeks!). I love it when you walk into a coffee shop and feel at home. I definitely recommend this place for their great service, drinks, and staff! Keep up the good work!
