I came to Newton Automotive to get my inspection done. After seeing how nice, funny, and professional the entire crew was, I came back to get work done on my brakes. Once again, the guys at the shop were honest, patient, and explained what they were doing to my car in full. I appreciate how much they cared about my experience and how much they went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable with the work they were doing. The level of honesty, care, and professionalism at Newton Automotive is worth even MORE than 5 stars.

I just left Newton Automotive Services who quickly and accurately diagnosed an obvious problem another mechanic missed after 3 attempts. Newton Automotive not only found the issues, they spent 5 hours to fix all of them… on a Saturday afternoon! They pointed out on my car what was causing the symptoms and reasonably recommend which repairs were more important than others. They do seem to overcharge for parts though. It’s tough to find a perfect mechanic.

I am leaving this review as a warning to future customers. The awesome reviews for this place do not reflect the sketchy experience that I had here.
Series of events:
(1) I test drive a nice Audi A4. I love the car. Joseph is seemingly helpful and trustworthy.
(2) Joseph tells me that someone has an application on the car, and that it may or may not be accepted. He tells me that I should put in a deposit just in case it doesn’t go through.
(3) at 11 am the next day, I bring a check with my deposit. Before I give them the check, I confirm that the other deal has not year gone through. I give the check to Joseph’s partner Stan.
(4) around 2 pm, Joseph calls me to tell me that the other deal went through, and that I will not get the car.
(5) at 9 am the next morning, it occurs to me that I should stop payment on the check that I gave them. I discover that the check has already been cashed.
(6) I call the shop, and ask why my check was cashed. Joseph immediately denies this, and ultimately states that «this must have been some kind of mistake.» He tells me that he will cut me a check.
(7) the shop writes me a check, and I get my money back.
One of two things happened here: (1) these guys cashed my check between 11 and 2, while the other deal was still pending, or (2) they cashed my check after 2, after the other deal had already gone through. Both scenarios are unacceptable.
The bottom line is, if you give these guys a check, MONITOR YOUR BANK ACCOUNT. Do not trust that your money is safe with them. I ultimately got my money back with an apology, but the point is that I would have never seen my deposit again if I had not been monitoring my bank account and learned that my check had been cashed.

I’ve never encountered a company that was staffed by such friendly and helpful people. After buying my first car here I was inevitably skeptical about what to expect but Joseph and Stan took great care of me and my car. After spending weeks researching a complicated in Wall speaker installation that all BMW forums said was impossible, I brought my car and the speakers over to Newton Auto and I was shocked at how quickly and flawlessly Joseph was able to install them. I have since sold two cars to Newton Auto and will continue to use them as my only service shop in the future because of their stellar service and friendly advice. If you have a car issue or need to purchase a Used Car in excellent condition look no further than Joseph and Stan.

Okay, so i went for an inspection at another place. Dror’s on VFW if you must know. He found a couple if things, and i was not really convinced.
I read the reviews about this place, and boy am i happy i did.
Joseph is the man! I don’t have enough superlatives to describe the expertise, professionalism, generousity — yes truly!
He was patient to explain the reason for the car failing and actually took every measure to SAVE me money!
You know how you always look for that honest decent mechanic. Well I’ve found him and I will return and send as many as I can to enjoy the srevice at this place. REALLY AWESOME
He replaced only what was necessary and did a small fix for the time being so i can pass the inspection!
Happy to followed the other reviews and happy to send anyone else over there.
I paid $ 173 which is probably a third of what i would have paid at the otehr place!

Cannot say enough about these guys. I bought a high millage BMW there last year after they put it into like-​new condition. Runs like a watch. Recently I took another car to them to check the plugs, suspension and battery. They said the suspension and plugs are fine (no charge), and they replaced the battery, (I know it was bad), for considerably less than what a dealer quoted. My wife’s car is near it’s end, we’ll certainly go to these guys to replace it.

My friend recommended this place and it was fantastic. I needed a wheel bearing, oil change, and and inspection and it was all done faster that I would have hoped. Joseph even found that the last place I had my car worked on didn’t fasten an axle in properly. I’m never going to another auto shop.

Moved to Newton in 2010 and was looking for a mechanic who didn’t bare a scarlet letter, especially being a girl they loveee to TRY and rip us off. Started out with a safe oil change and inspection. These guys definitely used to work in the nascar pits they have you in and out so fast! Joseph was nice but that means nothing these days howeverrrr in this case it did. I’ve been going to them ever since along with everyone in my apartment building and a few local friends now going on 5 years and their new location. They are killing it and being the picky (B) I am when it comes to this, that says a lot. Amazingly friendly, prices that don’t make you cringe and a job well done! Cant beat that. Xx Love these guys

I’ve taken my car here countless times and have always received quick and honest service. The owner, Joseph, is very friendly and straightforward. He never overcharges me and does whatever he can to work around my busy schedule. I am a loyal customer and have been for almost 10 years now. When I came to Joseph and Stan to use their car finder service I was skeptical because the car I was searching for was extremely hard to find in the condition and with the mileage I wanted. It wasn’t even two week later I was driving my new to me BMW with an extended warranty and 15k LESS miles then I had given them a limit of. These guys are the best for sales and service. As a car guy — I wouldn’t recommend anyone else.

I went to Newton Automotive Services to look for a nice used car. I was greatly impressed by their inventory, what a great and wide selection for such low prices. Stan was very helpful in answering all of my questions about the vehicles, as well as easing my worries as a first time car buyer. Let me just start of by saying when I normally go to any dealer and walk around the lot no attendant comes up to me, you tell me how you feel about that. «I honestly think they don’t care about your business». But here at Newton Auto it’s the total opposite they do care about you it’s a well owned business especially meeting with one of the owners Stan who worked with me and my girlfriend on obtaining a vehicle that was reliable and good to get me where I would need to go. This is definitely by far one of the best dealers I would refer anyone out there who is looking for an awesome vehicle. And also you can’t forget Joseph what an awesome mechanic I’ve had some minor and major work done by him. I know I can send any of my family and or friends there to get there cars worked on because I trust Stan & Joseph.

Rafi & Jack at the shop services my BMW for clogged PCV, well it’s a year later and I have to service the same PCV they installed again. Pay more and go to someone compotent that will stand behind their work.

Great service, cheap, to the point. Brought my Honda there to diagnose a knocking sound and to fix my car adapter/​cigarette lighter. Definitely didn’t feel like I was being screwed over, which is a change. :) Everything is working great now and I’ll be going back for future repairs.
–EDIT — 11÷18÷11 — They apparently don’t care about customers who have cars worth less than ~10k. If you have a BMW or Audi, I’m sure they’ll take care of you ($$$) but if you come in with a 10 year old car, forget about it. Brushed off multiple days in a row, bad service, no callback, forgot to address ½ of my requested service. Nice knowin ya Newton Auto.
