Reservoir Family Wellness offers acupuncture, healing qigong, and Chinese Herbal Medicine for children, adolescents and adults. For adults, we treat a wide range of conditions. Our services for children and adolescents are tailored to their needs, through needle-​free acupuncture, qigong, and herbal medicine especially blended for their requirements. We have a special interest in treating children and adolescents with special needs, and offer discounted services for children on the autism spectrum, children with mood disorders and attention deficit disorders. For children on the autism spectrum, we offer Qigong Sensory Training, an evidence-​based Chinese medical massage to support healthy development.

History

Established in 2008.

Reservoir Family Wellness, LLC was founded to support families using an integrative approach to wellness. Our clinic opened in Acton in the fall of 2008 and we have recently moved our offices to West Concord. We are committed to community support and teach in local community education programs to make acupuncture and Chinese medicine more accessible to families. Our clinic has sponsored innovative teachers in Chinese medicine and continues to make outreach to area hospitals, schools and SPEDPACs. Our founder is a developmental psychologist and licensed acupuncturist committed to working with families.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Maria Broderick, Ed.D., Lic. Ac. is a state licensed practitioner of acupuncture & Chinese herbal medicine in Massachusetts. Maria holds a Master’s degree in Oriental Medicine from the New England School of Acupuncture and a doctoral degree in Human Development and Psychology from Harvard University.

Maria is a member of the clinical faculty of the New England School of Acupuncture (www​.nesa​.edu) where she supervises acupuncture interns in the pediatric unit at Boston Medical Center.

While a graduate student in Oriental medicine, she received a Schweitzer Fellowship to develop a specialty clinic on treating adolescents with ADHD. She has pursued advanced training with experienced clinicians in pediatric acupuncture and pediatric Chinese herbal medicine.

Maria’s doctoral studies in human development and psychology focused on understanding how the experience of chronic illness impacts cognitive, emotional and spiritual development in children and adults. Maria has conducted research on
